Yes, it's a bit more expensive than buying similar items at the store but you pay for the convenience and for that alone it's worth it to me. We only order 2-3 meals at a time, so we're not buying everything we eat from here because it would add up quickly. But for variety, convenience and a quick, delicious meal, Schwans is a nice option. We've had their meats, soups, seafood, pizzas, desserts and ready to heat meals. Most are delicious and we reorder them often. Other items, we've tried once and moved on to trying other things. Some items seem a little heavy on the sodium. They offer some vegetarian items, breakfast foods such as pancakes, French toast sticks, breakfast burritos, waffles, oatmeal and more. They have delicious breads, many ice cream and dessert products such as cookies, cookie dough, pies, cheesecake, brownie bites and more. They have appetizers, side dishes, vegetables, seasonal picks and some miscellaneous items. Some of the portion sizes for the heat and eat meals are usually for 2 or 3 people so for large families, it's not the most efficient way of feeding everyone. Other items such as their variety of meats etc. are large enough to serve families. But for the two of us, we don't always feel like cooking a large meal nor do we want to eat at a restaurant, so we choose a Schwans meal from our freezer and it's ready in no time. At the time of delivery, if there's something you want to add on, you can do so if they have it on the truck. We've done this a few times. You accumulate points with your purchases which can be used towards money off any future purchases. I usually let the points accumulate enough to where I can apply a nice reduction on my total purchase price. They send deals through your email and offer flash sales as well. Also, if you're not home, you can set your freezer bag on the porch and they'll put the items in it so your order is waiting on your porch when you get home. Both Mike and Vinny are friendly and helpful and know about their products if you have any questions. There's no pressure to order anything more once they arrive with your food, but they do let you know about any additional items that are on sale in case you do need or want something last minute as I mentioned earlier. Before they leave, they tell you when your next delivery date is and give you a two week reminder sticker to put on your calendar. So if you want delicious food that's conveniently delivered, this is for you. It may not work for everybody, but for us, it's been a nice alternative.
