I walked in, and the owner or manager looked at me and never acknowledged me. That's a pet peeve of mine, especially since there was only one customer already seated. He walked around the store and stopped to chat with what I assume was his wife, who was sitting and working on a laptop. The lady who took my order was kind but the smoothie had little flavor. Came in with my family and the girl at the counter just stared at me. Acted like she was annoyed that I would be a patron in the establishment. I asked questions about sizes of drinks and she basically rolled her eyes and also treated my wife the same. I get that fast food isn't always a pleasant working experience but come on. We love coming here to pick up a quick lunch after church on Sundays. Our favorites: Island Green for me(with pea protein and collagen add ons). My first visit to Tropical Smoothie Cafe (7/10/19) in McKinney ended with food poisoning. I ordered the BBQ Flatbread chicken and side kale apple. I actually didn't care for it and decided not to order it next time. I have now been sick for over 3 days, have lost 6.5 pounds and still feel terrible. I called the restaurant and was told the owner would call me back. He never did. Perhaps when at a smoothie restaurant one should order a smoothie. read more
