This is my first time at this location. Parking was easy today as it is Sunday after 5pm. Normally navigating thru the congested area and parking lot can be stressful during other times. Today it was smooth sailing into the parking spot and in the store. I entered a clean and very neat establishment. I walked to the counter to have the cashier having a full converation with a friend and didnt worry about his job or my time standing there while his friend yapped. His friend was like Im sorry and scooted over to allow me to order. I ordered an original acai bowl. It was made and handed to me within a reasonable time. Today was my 2nd time visiting this location and it's pretty good. They're in my top 2 TS in my book! I've visited plenty locally and regionally on the past and their efficiency and quality is unmatched. My Hurricane Smoothie and Cajun Shrimp Wrap was done so quick, I couldn't believe it was mine. Customer service was pretty good, the place was immaculately clean, and even had a little more stylish decor than other locations I've visited. Great parking! My first time coming here was an experience. The service was great and the lady at the register was very insightful of different smoothies! The Jamaican Jerk wrap was very tasty and the sauce really hits you in a very flavorful way! The Apple kale was good as well, I would say an acquired taste that made me want to keep eating. I sometimes visit this location for an occasional smoothie. I learned long ago that I was not a big fan of the food, so I don't bother with it. However, I had a coupon so I decided to run in for the smoothie. I was waited on rather quickly but for some reason, the young man who made my smoothie did not see my order ticket because he took a little while to prepare it. The location was not crowded at the time, so there was no justification for the delay. At one point, he actually attempted to hand me someone else's drink. I guess they do not write names on the cups anymore. Had it not been the wrong size beverage, I would not have known that it was not mine. After I told him that it was not my smoothie, he located my order ticket. Once he began preparing my smoothie, I observed him cough into his hand. I immediately cringed at the thought but did not say anything because he did not directly touch any of the ingredients. He then placed my smoothie on the blender. While it was blending, he walked away from the blender and blew his nose in one of the napkins. Once he blew his nose, he continued back in the direction of the blender. Just when I realized that he was not going to wash his hands, I stopped him in his tracks and requested that he wash his hands before continuing with the preparation of my smoothie. Though he agreed to wash his hands, he appeared very nonchalant about my request. Food safety and food borne illnesses should be a central theme to anyone working in food service. It should become second nature and just something that you do based on the environment in which you work. At no time should anyone feel comfortable enough to prepare food or beverage without washing their hands. I'm so glad one of these opened near my office! I had heard great things from my Yelpie friends but never had one near enough to try. I was running errands on my lunch hour and stopped in for a quick bite right before the lunch crowd swarmed in. I tried the taco "pick two" with the smoked jalapeno chicken and the cilantro lime fish. The chicken was ok but there were some fatty pieces; for my money the flavor of the fish tacos was much better. Next time I will try the two different steak options (Thai and Korean). The tacos were your average size in a generic flour tortilla, but they were the perfect size for a light lunch for me; they don't come with any kind of side. They also have sandwiches, flatbreads, salads, wraps, a kids' menu and even breakfast. Now for the best part, if you order food you can add on a smoothie for $3.50 instead of $4.99. And who isn't going to order a smoothie if you go into a place called Tropical Smoothie Café? But I digress. I ordered the Bahama Mama (strawberries, pineapple, white chocolate, coconut) and it now rivals my Orange Dream Machine at Jamba Juice for my favorite (and will be much easier to obtain since I don't fly every day). It was delicious, and low fat even considering the chocolate. All smoothies are 24 oz, and I managed to make mine last overnight so I could enjoy it for breakfast at work the next day too. Dear Management, I ordered on the app and walked in to find trash overflowing. The young lady who made our sandwiches went from making sandwiches to wiping counters and never changing her gloves. We ate in, but had to ask for our food although we let them know we were waiting and it sat on the counter. Tabletops were dirty and trash littered the floor. I did ask to speak to manager, but that prrson was not in. I informed them of my concerns and was told the manager doesn't say anything about the gloves...is that true? I drive to this location because it opens an hour earlier than the one that's closest to me and it just made sense since I try to grab my favorite protein enhanced smoothie, the Chia Banana Boost Max right after my 3 mile walks in the AM. I arrived a few minutes before 8AM and waited in my car for them to open and with precise precision, at 8AM on the nose, the OPEN light lit up. I was the first one in, the place was spotless and the 2 employees behind the counter greeted me, I placed my order and was told that the MAX version (added protein powder) was no longer being sold but I could pay extra for the add-in and get it anyway. This location is in a busy shopping center, so it's sometimes hard to find parking, but it's certainly worth driving around a little to find a parking spot. Wish they were better at their customer service. I've ordered online from them a few times because it's generally easy when I only have a short break for work but no more. Once, I accidentally placed a pickup order and immediately placed another for delivery and called the store to request they cancel and they never processed, I had to get it removed by contacting my bank who could clearly see two chargers for the same day. I placed another delivery order and when only the food arrived I contacted the store to ask they either send the smoothie or cancel the entire order (I wanted the smoothie, I only ordered food to get above the delivery dollar amount threshold). It took a few days but as opposed to making the customer happy and refund the entire order they made an adjustment and only refunded a portion of the total. I would've brought the food back if you were going to do that (it's still in my fridge because like I told the manager, I wanted the smoothie and that was the sole reason for my order). Wonderful experience! I walked in on a late night stroll just to try a quesadilla. My daughter comes often but this was my first time. She told me to try the mango magic so obliged. What a wonderful little spot! The smoothie choices range from decadent dessert to super healthy superfoods. There are a wide variety of add-ins, including fat burning and multi-vitamin. The food options are tasty, but the saying "you get what you pay for" applies here. The breakfast wraps, while delicious, are on the smaller side. I've never been crazy about smoothies, but after failing to find a place serving dinner relatively late (after 8), I was craving a smoothie. My wife and I walk in and we were surprised to find that there were food options. Food choices range from grilled wraps, sandwiches, flatbreads, salads, and tacos with a variety of proteins including chicken, turkey, steak, fish, and Beyond Meat (the only meat substitute I'm willing to eat). My wife is pesceterian so she was pumped to find a place that serves Beyond Meat. I picked up the Jamaican Jerk chicken wrap and my wife had the fish tacos. Both were full of flavor with a good amount of spiciness. Both a great value at $5-6 each. Smoothie choices, as you may expect, are vast ranging from all fruit mixes, fruit/veggie mixes, and dessert smoothies all with the option of proteins and powders. The Peach 'n Silk smoothie hit the spot. My wife liked her Totally Green smoothie, but veggie smoothies are not my thing. There were many things that we were both looking forward to trying, so we ended up going back the next evening. Chipotle Chicken Club flatbread was excellent, even though I couldn't find any bacon in my sandwich (only minor complaint I could make). Wife enjoyed the Caesar wrap with Beyond Meat. I had a Blueberry Bliss smoothie (good but probably wouldn't get again) and wife had Avocolada. Despite my fight against drinking veggies, I liked the Avocolada. We'll definitely be back. read more
