To be honest, today I did not have a great experience here. The staff was very open about allegedly being short-staffed but I saw at least six, if not, seven, employees working. I wondered to myself how many employees they felt they needed during lunch on a Tuesday for a cafe that serves smoothies and sandwiches. I thankfully had placed my order online and had a pickup time of 12:02 pm. I received my order a few mere minutes past -- which was no big deal. I had a strong urge to check the food for myself and my colleagues but ended up just heading back to the office. Upon my return, we realized that both salads we ordered were missing chicken and dressing. I then packed the food back up into my car and returned to the location to inform them of my missing items. I was met with an empty stare as they took my bag back to fix my order. They ended up putting the chicken for both of the salads into one container on the side, which was a little weird, but thankfully it was fine with my co-workers, and gave me four dressings on the side, instead of two. The employee that brought me my order didn't even say anything as I thanked them for fixing my order after having to go out of my way to return to the location and endure a second wait. I realize that mistakes happen and that is fine. But it really seemed that the kids working may have been staffed but probably didn't feel that they were because half of them didn't know how to make the items -- as I also saw another gentleman returning his poor-looking sandwich as I waited for my meals to be fixed. They also didn't seem to have any real hospitality to any of the guests, they just seemed frustrated and irritated. It seems that they needed a leader/manager on duty to support them during the rush and keep things running smoothly. I would suggest only ordering here during slow times. Otherwise, you may receive subpar service and/or food. read more

I ordered three smoothies for myself and my children today. I observed a tall black man with dreads being unsanitary by handling food, chips, and money with the same gloves. He also chopped up a banana on top of the sandwich wrapping paper and then wrapped the next sandwich in it. This is a serious health concern for people with allergies. The food is decent and my smoothie was delicious, however, the staff could use some work. It's very sad to see people working with such a lack of effort. I've worked minimum wage my whole life, I get it, it sucks. However, don't take it out on customers who are nice to you. The kitchen staff were very friendly but the guy who was working the register was the complete opposite. There is a table in front of the register because of covid, which is great. It helps keep staff safer. However, the employee at the register stood with his hands at his sides when I tried handing him my card and I had to basically climb on the table to hand it to him and get it back. That mixed with his attitude and him ringing me up before I was finished ordering were saddening. The toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months with black and orange stuff growing all over it. I could only imagine how gross the kitchen is as well. My only drawback with TSC is that they only have one size. Their smoothies are really delicious, but sugar heavy. I usually substitute Splenda which I didn't know you could do at first. This location is spacious and well maintained. It has an open dining area so that you can stay and eat as well. Make sure you download the app so that you can claim a free smoothie after spending $50. My favorite smoothie is the Island Green which is package with leafy greens. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. We actually like the smoothies there and we go there quite frequently. My primary complaint is really about the false advertisement and customer fraud this location practices. One day we were given a coupon for a bbq chicken flatbread and watermelon mojito smoothie combo for $8. Without the coupon the combo would have cost $9.99. So one week later we went and got this exact combo plus another item. However we noticed the total price seemed too high, even taking the applicable taxes into consideration, so we questioned them about it. The employee said the code does not work so they cannot charge us $8, but they can only charge whatever price the system allowed them to. I told them flat out it was not acceptable and they need to honor the coupon price. After several employees and my demand to speak to the manager or the owner (neither was in the restaurant at the time), finally a 3rd employee came out and manually took $1 off. So we paid what they asked for. However when I was given the receipt I noticed it showed the combo was priced at $9.49 and even with the $1 off it came out to be $8.49, not the $8 as the coupon stated. So I demanded the $0.49 plus tax back. But the employee stated they did not know how to do it. So I gave them options of either cancel my order and refund my entire amount (they did not know how to do that), or to give me food/merchandise that is worth $0.49 to make up for the overcharge (they could not do that), and they did not know how to refund me $0.49 plus taxes either of course. It was very frustrating and I told them to call the manager and figure it out, otherwise I would report them as false advertisement or customer fraud. This is not the first time they have overcharged customers, because the employees even told me the system never reads the coupon correctly and there is not a way to truly correct the issue. Probably most customers just did not calculate the final amount to realize they were being overcharged. Finally they got hold of the manager (Ashley Williams) and she did not know a way to do that either, so she walked them through on just giving me a full refund on the smoothie. It was fine and I was too tired to waste more of my time, but all I really wanted was to only pay the price the coupon advertised. I got the name of the owner of the store (Brant Duroht) and his number and left him a voice mail to ask him to call me back. I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt since he may not directly manage the restaurant himself, but I am hoping he would take the situation seriously and actually do something about it. The system does not work properly and the manager and the employees know about it but no one has done anything to fix it. It has been at least a week since the promotion started. Additionally, the bbq chicken flatbread doesn't look anything like the advertisement. The picture showed a flatbread with chicken and vegetables and what we ended up getting was just bread and chicken, not even a shred of lettuce. Maybe that's their way of saving cost in order to give you the coupon discount, which they didn't even do. 6/20 update: just received reply from business customer service regarding my review yesterday. Even that is disappointing and I would give it 0 star. The person asked me to go to their website and provide more details. What the heck. What more details can they ask for? My original review was already very detailed. If the business just wants to pretend they care but isn't really going to do anything about improving their service, then they have succeeded. read more

This Labor day at Tropical Smoothie 9-4-2017. This place has several customers waiting for smoothies. They bringing out the wrong smoothies. They messed up several orders. The slow pace of smoothies coming out, one at a time, you would think they have just one blender operating back there. And now I've finally got my order, which is wrong. Its too many people already waiting for orders and order redos that I don't have any more time to wait. Consistency is very important...I get the chipotle chicken club flat bread and sometimes the tomatoes are sliced and other times they are diced. This location makes a good smoothie however their wraps are Slightly undercooked compared to seven different locations of this chain I go but it was disappointing that they did not have Internet at all the other locations they had Internet. read more
