Great food, lousy service. Placed a walk-in order to go, paid for it, and waited over 20 minutes while watching drive-thru customers place orders and pick them up ahead of mine. Apparently "first come, first served" has no meaning here. When I inquired about my order, an employee said that it hadn't been made yet. I asked for and received refund, and walked away. Used to be a fantastic place with great service, but it has really gone downhill. They've lost me as a customer. read more

If you are looking for a healthier option to eat at, this place is half way decent. The food is just mediocre. But the smoothies are delicious. I'm giving this place only 3 stars because their food, in addition to not being that great, always takes forever to cook and the service here is always slower than molasses. My order ALWAYS seems to get messed up somehow too. If this place had some decent people running it, it might do a lot better. EXTREMELY SLOW SERVICE! With no one in the dining room and a completely customer free drive thru, I walked into the place with one other customer in front of me and there were about 10 employees and 2 cash registers. I waited about 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. Overhearing the cashier having trouble even taking an order AND after seeing the customer received the wrong order on his receipt I literally walked out after 15 minutes of waiting around and overhearing the furious confrontation. read more

Solid place! I came here for a sandwich and was pleasantly surprised at the sandwich I got. The staff was friendly and the smoothie I got was tasty. There is not a whole lot of sandwich/smoothie shops in Rochester so they should keep up the good work! read more

Good variety of smoothie flavors. They are 24 oz. "gourmet" flavor smoothies for a reasonable price. They do offer the flavors with a sugar free/sugar substitute option. If you have the SpinStreak app you can win free food or drinks. I won a free smoothie, $5 value, needless to say it was a very easy decision to go back for a tasty, free smoothie. read more

I didn't try any of the food here, but the shakes are OK. You need to be careful what you order or a load of sugar goes into the mix.

I really like their ideas. Great business! Wish the kids would keep it clean and tidy though. Went in and it wasn't very busy but there seemed to be a lot of young kids working and goofing around. OMG I love this place!! Their Jamaican Jerk wrap is scrumptious....hot, spicy, and addictive. I tend to get that the most because it is SO YUMMY. Their wraps are so fresh and toasty if you want. Crunchy fresh salad ingredients, and nice variety and so much healthier without feeling like you sacrifice anything. Its so good, and the level of food is so much better. I adore their smoothies, I like the Blimey Limey a lot because its got Pineapple and strawberry which balance out the citrus orangey LIme luciousnesss. I love the waitstaff here because I ask them to throw a dollop of yogurt in it...then take it to work. The Health Nut smoothie is good too~I was a bit apprehensive to try it but was impressed how good it was. The smoothies are so yummy and you can get them without sugar and they taste fabulous. I think this place is a great spot for stopping at while out on errands or cutting thru on way home from Skiing. Its a great value and worth repeat stops. Its about time Rochester had somewhere with a better grade of food, I am amazed its taken this long given the great location along Rte16. I feel for the same price of a clowns combo meal elsewhere, you can get a wrap and a smoothie with chips and KNOW its not all salt and grease and mysterymeat or sweet pizza sauce from Cisco. My only suggestion is to skip the buffalo chicken one, it feels very out of place on the menu. Its at the LOWES/PetSmart exit up on the hill. You can see plaza from a bit up the highway You can gas up the other side of exit too~easy ON&OFF. Its convenient and this place you can drive thru if you need to....but go inside if you have time. I love this place!! Wonderful alternative to your typical fast food. I love the smoothie variety, low fat smoothies, superfruit smoothies, indulgent smoothies... so many options! One of my all time favorite is get up and goji. Made with orange, banana, goji berries and peaches. So yummy. Also love love love their cranberry walnut and chicken salad sandwich. Healthy side options like apples, oranges, bananas, fruit salad and kale slaw! Check this place out if you haven't already. It's worth the trip. :) read more

First time at Tropical Smoothies and gotta say wasn't that bad I had a buffalo chicken wrap only thing I would say bad about my food was the chicken wasn't in buffalo sauce it was just on the wrap itself but other then that it was very enjoyable read more

I don't come here often but whenever I do it's always a terrible experience. Whenever I get a meal that comes with a "side" my choices are so limited that my options are either a green banana or a apple. My children have had to change what they got three different times because they didn't have what we wanted and it's not like this has only happened once or twice. It's every single time. I 100% would not recommend this place, it doesn't even seem like anyone is in charge. read more

Yuck....I've tried to like this place, but it's so hit or miss. Lately, a complete miss. They're expensive. The wait is way too long. I get it, the smoothies are made to order, but it shouldn't take 15 minutes when there is only one other customer in the place. Just not that good for the money or wait. I've tried the food a couple times & it's just so-so. If you're looking for expensive, mediocre food & drink then this is your place. this place shouldn't even get a star...when they first opened this place was good and everyone loved going to tropical smoothies. it was a hangout place for everyone and had deals and promos all the time. now, tropical smoothies has the worst customer service i've seen all throughout my life, their prices are outrageous with no promos/deals, and the drive through is horrendous. it takes on average about 20 minutes to get one smoothie and go, but if you go inside it'll take 5 minutes. that is absolutely ridiculous considering drive throughs are for the people who are on the run and don't have time to stop and go inside. their smoothies also taste terrible and adding their protein supplements make it worse. read more

If only I could give them less than one star. Horrible service and they managed to mess up every order while we were in there. We went in and not through the drive through and were there for over 30 minutes trying to get out order. They messed up our meals and smoothies. I was supposed to get a flatbread but of course I somehow ended up with a salad and it wasn't even close to the kind of flatbread I ordered. To top it off, the salad was horrible and unappetizing. Such a waste of money. I've had some pleasant experiences here but after today's service, we will not be returning. Don't waste your time and money. read more

Just ate there for the first time. Food was excellent, smoothies are too die for and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

I have tried and enjoyed the smoothies, lunch wraps and breakfast wraps. The quality is good, and price is reasonable (especially with the Valpak coupon). Facilities are clean and staff are friendly. Good place to drop in when shopping in the plaza. read more

Sometimes the wait can be a little longer than you would like, especially if there are people in front of you in line - but I have always had very friendly service and great smoothies here!
