Best smoothies!! I was dying for a smoothie. I used to be a Jamba Juice fanatic and then I compared ingredients between TSC and Jamba and there was more actual fruit in TSC. Skeptical on taste I went to try it. Did not disappoint!! Made with fruit and ice and no added frozen yogurt or sherbert like jamba. I was eating a chicken wrap- I bit into something super hard- thinking it was a bone I spit my food out. You can imagine my surprise when I saw that it was a sheered off RUSTY screw!!!! Love coming to TSC. Always get a beach bum with white chocolate paired with a buffalo chicken wrap. Wrap today was on point. Was sad to hear that they no longer have ruffles baked chips. Always hate going to the bathroom here. It requires using a grimy key and flipflop that everyone touches after using the bathroom, which then gets placed on the serving table... Not very hygienic. This Tropical Smoothie has been around for a bunch of years, and every time I come here I see new faces working at the register. Must be a big turn around rate for employees and I can tell why. I came on a Saturday afternoon around lunchtime and there was a constant busy flow of customers the whole time I was there. I felt bad for the teenage employees because they seemed so understaffed here and were working their butts off to get the food and drinks out and orders taken. It was about a 15 minute wait for my smoothie, and then I had to wait 5 more minutes for my sandwich. The food was very good and I have no complaints about that, just the service itself. It shouldn't take that long for what I ordered, and the ton of people who were waiting all seemed antsy too. They need to have more people working for a weekend rush time like this. Also, my friends smoothie fell on the floor because the table was super shaky, and when he asked for a new one, they offered him a discount on a new one?! I've had the opportunity to enjoy the TSC in Selden a few times and it's usually pretty good. I've never had the food here, and have only ordered their smoothies. Their very good but some of them can be very sugary and calorie laden so you must choose wisely. You can augment your smoothies with protein etc, in order to pack a healthier punch and have more of an impact. Many of the smoothies have banana so if you don't like banana your selection is significantly less. I always get the Very Berry Green Tea smoothie, I love it. I've tried others but this is my fav. The food is mainly healthful ingredients but the calorie counts are much higher than you'd assume.
