My friend and I were looking for some place to catch up on a Sunday afternoon after CE and picked here since there was plenty of parking. It is located in a shopping center. There are several tables for dining in and a restroom (which I'm not sure all locations have one). We each ordered a smoothie. Acai Berry Boost and Detox Island Green was very good. I placed an order for pickup on Uber eats. Upon arriving to pick up the order I was given smoothies that were almost totally melted. I pointed that out to the person on staff who said that her name was Donna Eriksen (she is a very bias, rude, unprofessional, and ghetto individual) who claimed to be the manager. I asked if new smoothies could be made, she promptly snapped NO. Another male employee who was there at the time was about to make the replacement smoothies and she grabbed the stuff from him and yelled NO. He said to her, "it's okay it's not a big deal, I can make it real quick". She reiterated "NO" to him. She ensued to argue with me and told me that I should have arrived earlier for my smoothies. I told her that this wasn't the first time that I've placed orders for pickup and if I ran a little late, they would put my order in the fridge or freezer to preserve it until I got there. She said that she didn't do that because it was taking up space in her refrigerator. When I questioned why I couldn't just have replacement smoothies made, she yelled at me "we will not be serving you here anymore, get out of my store", like she was doing me a favor or she was giving me a freebie. At that comment and the rude and inappropriate way she was attempting to speak to me, I got extremely upset and I called her some choice names and words that were befitting of her character. If she's the manager of that establishment and her employees know how to treat customers better than she can, it's a real shame. I've been dealing with this location AIRPORT PLAZA BLVD, FARMINGDALE, NY for many years without any problems. I've placed an official complaint against that location and would advise others to do the same if you've been into this location and got treated in a derogatory manner by the extremely low class "manager". read more

Friend and I walked in to order in the morning. Two other people are there and only one girl running around making everyone's food. We hear screaming in the back and the girl up front shouting for her to come help. They're screaming back and forth asking if she needs help for two minutes straight. Obviously she needed help it was just her. Two workers come out from the back and are essentially just goofing around upfront while one person is doing work. Really inconvenient. There usually is regular joking around with the staff that's chill but these workers were literally screaming and barely doing work. Was insane. We waited like 15-20 minutes for our food. I've heard of Tropical Smoothie Cafe, but never got a chance to try it until one opened nearby. I thought it was just another smoothie spot but was pleasantly surprised that they served food too. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Quesadilla and a kid's size strawberry banana smoothie. Though the jerk chicken is far from authentic tasting Caribbean jerk, it was good. The smoothie was refreshing. I've come here for my lunch breaks quite a few times. The store is very close to my job which I love. The customer service is horrible. The talk over your food while it's being prepared. My Chase Sapphire Reserve card has a new collab with doordash which offers free delivery on orders over $12. I only really wanted a smoothie but since I needed to order $12 worth, I decided to add on chips and cookies (non-perishable stuff I didn't need to eat immediately). I went with the peanut butter cup for my smoothie, recipe as is, no add-ons. The smoothie arrived in less than 30 minutes and it was very frozen. I took a sip and realized it was made very icy, as in it tasted like it was blended with ice, chocolate, peanut butter and banana only. It wasn't creamy or smoothie-like at all, there were a lot of small ice chips inside as well. It tasted like a faint chocolate slushy ice (so to speak). Definitely not the type of smoothie I was expecting. You get a large sized cup and for $7 it's pretty cheap for the size, but the smoothie was not good. The smoothie was also very bland, there was no distinct flavor at all. It tasted like it was diluted with a lot of water. I couldn't finish my smoothie so I went to try the snickerdoodle cookie. OMG! That cookie was so good. If it wasn't for that cookie, I would have rated my experience as a 1 or 2 star. Definitely try the cookie, they have chocolate chip as well. I might try a fruit or green smoothie in the future to give it another chance but as of right now, I won't be going back anytime soon (unless for a cookie). read more

I've been to many of the Tropical Smoothie's on Long Island but this location is by far my favorite. First the smoothie, I usually order the Peanut Butter Cup and it is always PERFECT! Refreshing and delicious. Next the food, My favorite is the Chipotle chicken club which is filled with flavor from both the chicken and the sauce! The staff is always friendly and they consistently make each and every order to perfection. The menu has great selections and it looks appealing. Lastly, the pickup process. It is very simple. All you have to do is pick up your smoothies from a freezer that they have by the door. Overall, AMAZING! I will definitely come to this location again. (This was my third time already.) read more

This was my first time trying this tropical smoothie location and I did curbside pickup. After calling the store when I got there as the sign said to do so, nobody would answer so I just went inside. I wasn't given my side with my order and had to ask for it. After getting home I look at my bowl which looked half eaten and was utterly disappointed. It was halfway filled up which has never happened to me before at any other location. I would check your orders before leaving the store if you do a pickup order.
