I started working at Tropical Smoothie Cafe this summer, I can honestly say I loved this job so much, I put my heart into this job. This job became my first priority, I loved talking to the customers, making there day better. It was the highlight of the day, everyday after school I couldnt wait to get to work to talk to my favorite Regulars. Even though this job isn't as pretty as it seems, I always helped my coworkers, even if they needed me to come in early, or even stay later and help them close. I put this job before everything before my friends, my family, I've missed out on so much this summer so many memories all without me. Silly me just trying to make my manager happy. Sadly this cafe sucks at treating there employees with respect. Everyday that I worked I always came with a positive mindset just to find my manger hating my guts for no reason, I always tried to cheer her up, but got scolded instead. The people I worked with werernt really the best influence, honestly I didn't mind it at first but I got a little annoyed of everyone needing a cigarret break for ever 5 minuets of the hour leaving me at the front by myself. In a cafe we should be family and treat each other with respect and help each other out, sadly this wasn't for me, it was a Friday, Nov 3 that one day I had to leave 2 hours early urgently, and luckily I got all the stuff needed to be done and got the permission to leave early. Then I comeback, Monday Nov 6 with a smile on my face telling my manger hello asking her how she's doing :) she glares at me walks away with no comment. I wasn't surprised tho. I ask what needs to be done, and start working, I get everything done, 2 hours pass the manager calls me to her office to tell me I'm fired for leaving Friday without telling anyone. But sadly I know the truth and my heart burning from her words, I would never leave without permission. I didn't get any warning, nothing just to get sent home, and before I left my manger told me to F off. Those were her last words to my face. The saddest part I can't tell anyone the exact truth is because I'm some low level employee. After this experience I'm afraid to ever work with customer service who will treat you like a nobody. I would never recommend a young teenager to work at this Cafe, unless you want you're mental health ruined. I hope the Owner gets to reads this and knows exactly what's going on read more

This place has the worst customer service. The food is fair. I like it because they offer healthy choices and this is why I come back to get tortured by their horrible service. It's very loud in their facility and the clerks never listen to what you order. 70% of the time I get the wrong order and then they will not fix it. I always get.... We're not allowed to change what's on the ticket. Okay, then how about you get the ticket correct? ALWAYS check what your receipt because that's the order you will get. NOT YOUR WAY! read more
