Then, after our food finally showed up, my Bacado was over cooked. It took a while to get the server's attention and when we finally did, she rolled her eyes and took it back to redo. This place was so good! We walked in and were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant is very well lit for a breakfast place, with big windows that bring natural light into the space. We started off with the holey donuts and omg were they life changing! The elevated egg sandwich is what I'll be dreaming of for the next several years! It was so fresh and not too heavy. The food was decent, but the service was unprofessional and very disappointing. We waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated, completely acceptable. We waited about 5 minutes for a server to stop by our table and greet us, still acceptable... they were really busy. What was annoying was 7 minutes later we were still waiting for water and to take our order. (Ok, they're busy... it wasn't that serious.) What made it an unprofessional experience is the server brought our food, stacked on top of each other and then asked me to remove my plate from her hands instead of serving it to me. (It was just my wife and myself and 2 plates.) Why was I asked to do this? Well, she had 2 other tables plates in her hands as well. (Carrying 6 plates total.) If I was at one of the other customers, would I want another patron touching my plate. Nope! Final straw was when I went to go pay with a gift card, one of theirs I might add, the cashier stated, "Really, another gift card?!?" She went to explain that she hated them because their system wouldn't read them every time and that meant she would have to enter them manually. (Note: we were the only ones checking out and paying, there was no one else in line.) So... I love First Watch! I never have a bad experience and the food is always great! This location is especially nice! Most First Watch are in a shopping plaza/strip mall. This location is a stand alone with its own dedicated parking lot. The ceilings are high. With all the windows, it's so bright and open. This location also has a bar where you can sit to eat/ order drinks. Our service was great as usual. I tried the Bananas Foster French toast ($12.99). It had great flavors and was delicious! It is very sweet, so beware if you are watching your sugar intake. The elevated egg sandwich ($12.49) is always a solid choice and their fried potatoes are a good side. I love the Pick 2 for lunch special, so if you're undecided, you can get two. And if you're still undecided, you can get a side to go with your lunch. If you see my photo, I was absolutely undecided, haha! The Cobb Salad was great, I loved the presentation and all of the toppings. The Club Sandwich was filling and also not lacking for toppings. The fruit cup was fresh. I love how quick you can get in and out here. The service is always fast. The high ceilings here make it feel larger than it is. The coffee WAS good, I'll give them that. The table was too far away from the seating so you have to lean way over. Speaking of the table, there was this stupid medallion attached to it that said it was made from sustainable white ash...... it was a wooden table.... people do realize that all trees are "sustainable" because they grow for free out of the ground, right? I love this place. There is a reason there's a line on Sunday morning. I've been here about half a dozen times or more; always after church. The first couple of times, we were seated right away, but more often I've waited. Interestingly, no matter how long the line, I've never waited more than maybe 10 or 15 minutes tops. To me, it's worth the wait. The food is really good. They have a really nice menu with healthy and maybe not so healthy choices. The food is fresh, the service is fast. The staff is always so nice and accommodating. The guy hosting today was really on top of the wait list, and as usual, I was not disappointed. For me, one of my favorites is the Market Skillet. Filled with fresh veggies, potatoes, some cheese and topped with eggs. . I've had this the last three times. Time to try something new. I will say the waffles and pancakes look really yummy. We (2 top) arrived at 12:30pm on a Tuesday and waited 15 minutes to be seated. We then waited 50 minutes to receive our cold food. Simple dishes with no changes or substitutions so not a tough ticket for the kitchen. They are very understaffed and under managed. The timing and communication between staff and kitchen is non existent or the kitchen is very green. Either way it is a bad call by ownership to staff in this manor. We're old restaurant owners and it was tough watching the employees on shift struggle with their job responsibilities and the customer complaints about poor timing. Lots to do at this location to fix these issues and there are too many other breakfast/brunch options around the area to sustain this business plan. read more

It is not common when I find a restaurant which is virtually perfect, but I may have found one at First Watch in Springfield. We came for brunch on a Saturday and while the restaurant was busy we were able to be seated within a couple of minutes and had a very nice waiter take care of us. My sister and I each ordered the Trifecta. I ordered mine with the Belgian waffle while she ordered hers with a banana pancake. The waffle was great, the pancake was great, eggs were cooked perfectly as was the bacon which we ordered "extra crispy"! Even the iced tea was brewed strong just like I like it. When we first arrived at the restaurant, we were ignored while two guys were chatting. Then one walked away which was apparently the cue to follow him? Anywho, we sat outside as it was beautiful outside and ordered. I ordered the eggs Benedict with bacon and avocado. The eggs were hard boiled so I asked for a replacement. The replacement plate came out with raw eggs on it. Literally raw eggs. My bf had the chorizo omelette with carrot and pecan pancake and his food looked good and he was pleased with it. The waiter was ok. Nice enough just no follow up after food was delivered the first time. No manager followed up or even inquired on our experience. Disappointing for sure. Wonderful for small groups or parties and families with young children. My husband and I stopped in Sunday around 11. The staff were attentive and our waitress was fast to help us. The food came out about 30 min after ordering. I got the kale, apple, cucumber, lemon juice-SO delicious! It mostly taste like apple with a hint of other flavors. I can't believe I have been working 5 minutes away from First Watch for almost a year and just now tried it for the first time! My mom and sister joined me here for brunch, and at first I was hesitant because I don't usually gravitate toward breakfast foods --however-- I am forever changed. The elevated egg sandwich is delicious! It is very creamy and flavorful from the avocado and cheese, and the bacon MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH. The potatoes were also perfectly seasoned and browned. I stole a bite of my sister's smoked salmon eggs benedict as well, and it was every bit as perfectly done as my sandwich. We've long been customers of the First Watch brand. This location is absolutely stunning with an outdoor patio for the warmer weather. Our server, Will, was knowledgeable, personable and his service was impeccable. Kudos to the kitchen, because this was by far the superior location for breakfast food out of many. I've seen this restaurant advertised on the local news and thought we would try it out. We have now been back twice. It's conveniently located and easy to get in and out of. The service is very good and the servers friendly and helpful. It can be a little slow during busy times but that is expected. The food is excellent and very fresh.
