Great staff working the night of 12/18 an hour before closing. I had just gone to selfie world across the way and worked up an slight appetite taking selfies. A friend of mine walked in and ordered our smoothies. We were greeted kindly. I also ordered a banana, Peanut Butter, honey crunch flatbread. I loved it!!! I love the combo of peanut butter, banana and honey, especially when toasted. The flat bread was good but, I feel like flat bread was not the way to go here.'maybe Simple toast. They were very backed up on making smoothies and we finished our wrap before getting our smoothies. The Thai chicken wrap was tasty, yet a bit small. My husband enjoyed his smoothie. I opted for the beach bum and I couldn't really taste any fruit. I'm used to homemade smoothies and this didn't hit the spot. This seems to be a forgotten TroSmo :( The shopping center as a whole is pretty dead.. but at least there's TONS of parking!! Throughout the years the prices seem to have gone up a lot for the smoothies, but it's still a rather large drink so $5 for one isn't highway robbery or anything. Service here was pretty quick, but then again, there weren't a lot of customers either. They also have add-ons like protein (soy, whey, and pea???), vitamins, oats, etc etc for 99c each I believe. Overall, Trosmo is my preferred smoothie shop and as long as they never stop making my favorite Sunrise, Sunset smoothie then I'll be a customer for life! read more

My husband and I usually go to the Strawbridge location, but he stopped here just now. He was on the phone with me while he ordered us, "two super green caesar wraps with no tomato." He just got home and one of them had tomatoes. He called to let them know and to ask for a refund for one of the wraps since we now have to pick the entire wrap apart to eat it. He was instructed to come back for a new wrap or an in-person refund which is FIFTEEN minutes away from our home. This is not acceptable. The food always tastes great, the service is so-so, but the wait time is insane. I've been here a dozen times in the last few months. One time I walked in, stood in a line that was out the door, and ten minutes later I realized the line wasn't even moving. I had to leave without getting anything. Another time, I ordered within a minute or so of walking in because there was no line, but there was no where to stand to wait for the smoothie because there were at least 10 other people waiting. This is the worst tropical smoothie in Virginia Beach. Literally. They employees mess up the easiest of food/drink items. Every time I go in, my smoothie is not blended fully and always has chunks. My food also sucks. I got a peanut butter banana crunch flatbread. How do you mess that up?? It's like someone dumped the entire bottle of honey on the flatbread. Management needs to sit everyone down and retrain them or better yet, fire everyone and rehire new people. I don't know why I bother going to that one anymore. read more

I came in during my work break and there was no one there but two young high school looking girls. They had no other customers but me and gave me the wrong chips, in addition my pesto flatbread was drenched with pesto through the flatbread and paper, had only a couple pieces of chicken and no tomatoes. Then my chipotle chicken flatbread only had two pieces of chicken and was also completely drenched in dressing. Horrible! Management needs to get on top of their employees. Its very disgusting employees don't wear gloves and most of the food and fruit is expired. There is little to none covid saftey precautions. And they don't sanitize until after the store closes. Employees don't go through a training process so most aren't good with customers. It's very hectic and the employees are dramatic when asked to remake food or smoothies. I personally believe that the store needs a new manager! I seriously don't recommend! read more

i came here for a quick bite after working out. i really need t do better about my meals. but this makes me feel not so bad about eating out. it was a sunday afternoon like any other sunday afternoon when i walked in ...lol service was really great at this location. that day there were only 3 young ladies working from what i could tell. they had a good system going and were able to put orders out in a timely manner. I really liked that you could tell they worked well together. gymnastics team had come in ordering food and they were able from what i could observe to still put their orders out with no issue. at this visit i tried one of the bowl i believe now you have the option of making any wrap into a bowl which is nice. it was a good amount of food to have with a smoothie on the side and chips. ive had bowls at other places and they didnt put enough to make up for not having bread but this bowl was proportioned to where i felt full. at this visit i didnt put them to the peanut butter cup test. at this visit i got a mango magic which was delicious. this location is right near the mall so it adds another option if you're done shopping and dont feel like eating in the food court. the shopping center its located in for many years has been kind of eehh. but there are signs stating the shopping center is under new management and i have seen a couple of new stores opening up. it adds to the liveliness of the area. almost like eat. pray. love. you also need to shop.eat.shop some more lol read more

I came in here 2 days in a row, the food and smoothies were delicious but customer service really sucked. Yesterday there was a young lady in the back and 2 up front. The small hispanic girl kept checking her phone every 5 minutes. The other girl asked her for help but she said she had to do her closing first. Im a manager at Captain George's and its all about team work. Closing comes LAST. The young lady looked frustrated with her. When i got my smoothie after 20 minutes of waiting for it, i left. Today i came back with my family and decided to give it another try. Today they were super busy. Im talking about people were outside in line. The girl that was in the back yesterday was on register today and a young man was in the back. The same hispanic girl was, (well.. "suppose") to be making smoothies. After about 10 minutes of waiting on my smoothies the girl finally got to mine. After making my 3/4 smoothies, she went into the back. After about 8 minutes the girl was still gone and smoothies were piling up back to back. I interrupted the girl at the register and asked her "Why are my smoothies sitting over there melting and the rest of the smoothies arent even being made." She apologized, stopped what she was doing and went into the back to see where she was. There was nothing playing in the store and we could hear there entire conversation. The girl asked "Why arent you up here making smoothies" and the hispanic girl said "Im not making smoothies no more i have other stuff to do." The girl repeatedly asked her to come help her while she takes orders and she kept telling her No. Customers were getting angry, Most of them were wanting refunds. The young lady called her manager then came up front apologized to the entire store and started making smoothies and tried to take orders at the same time. Whoever the hispanic girl is isnt ready for a job. I really hope the owner sees this message. I would NEVER keep someone around in my store like that. read more
