#adventuresofMimi&Mini-me We stopped in on a super hot Florida afternoon to cool off & fill up with a yummy Smoothie for each of us. I ordered a Detox Island green smoothie ($6.09) full of healthy ingredients including banana, blueberries, kale and other good for you stuff. Mini-me tried the Blueberry Bliss Smoothie ($5.09) made with bananas, blueberries & strawberries, perfect flavors for kids. Totally hit the spot! Check for special discounts for LA Fitness members & Rewards members.

It has taken me forever to try this place and with so many popping up around town, they must be pretty damn good. I came in to just get a smoothie, and I left with one along with a flat bread that had everything I love on it. The Peanut butter banana crunch flat bread, is one of their breakfast items and it's as delicious as it sounds. It has peanut butter, banana, granola, and honey, so I was sold! Unfortunately there wasn't any granola, so all that goodness without the crunch. So hopefully my next visit will come with granola in stock. I had the paradise point smoothue, which had strawberries, bananas, & pineapple. Yes it was very good, I'm a sucker for the strawberry-banana combo. What impressed me was the huge variety on the menu. Salads, smoothies, wraps, sandwiches, and flatbreads. Good thing there is an app, so maybe my next visit I won't hold up a line due to my indecisiveness.

We stopped in close to closing time...the employees took good care of us. We had two island green smoothies.

So many smoothie options to choose from! Amazing choices and also healthy food choices to pick from. Service was fast and friendly!

They don't open till 9am. Need to change hours

Love this place and go consistently before work weekly. Was specifically going this morning to try their breakfast and get a smoothie and I googled to make sure they were open and it said 7am - 9pm, I get there and the associate tells me they don't open till 9am. Little sad, was really looking forward to starting my day with tropical smoothie but it happens. This is more of just a PSA that their hours are wrong.

Very rude and terrible customer service!! They should both be fired!!

The focaccia bread was great and we really loved the peppercorn caeser dressing that came with the salad. My sandwich did not have tomato listed, but did come with tomato on it which was a concern because I'm allergic, but I was able to pull it off. Could have been more of an issue for a different patron, though! The guys behind the counter were very efficient and friendly, but didn't know what was in one of the sauces, which was again a concern for me with a tomato allergy. Overall, the food was super good and we loved the outdoor space, but we may not return!

I also was given a dressing option, so I chose Mediterranean herb vinaigrette. My ordered was prepared in front of me. When I got my order, I went outside to a table. The portion looked generous. The items are fresh, but I poured all of the dressing, making it quite acidic and balsamic flavored. It was still enjoyable and filling. The chicken was a bit dry and could have been seasoned more. At least the toppings and bases helped. I was able to save some leftovers home too. The service was pretty good and patient. The attendant told me all my choices and each step as well. I was able to get a bag when requested. The seating was all outdoors, but covered. There is a small step when entering/exiting the restaurant, so please watch it. There were an ample amount of tables. I wished there was a small fountain outside to add the upscale Winter Park charm. For a counter service restaurant, I thought the bowl to be a bit expensive for a little over 16 dollars after taxes and tips. However, the quality of items were pretty good and the bowl was pretty filling. Next time, I will just drizzle the dressing than pouring it all in. I will also try their brick sandwiches and other deals next time I visit. Overall: B-

Incredibly disappointed in the TLB. I've been a fan for a long time, especially their dry aged…read moremeats, and am more than willing to pay for this type of product. Today, though, I noticed them selling Japanese Wagyu as: Sake Infused Dry Aged A9 Kobe Strip. This is a very scammy way of selling a product. First, meat is graded broadly on three scales - USDA (choice, prime), BMS (beef marbling scale - common in Aus), and the Japanese grading scale. (A1-A5, with most high end steaks being A4 or the gold standard, A5). https://meatnbone.com/blogs/the-clever-cleaver/meat-beef-grading-system-understanding A9 doesn't exist. A BMS 9 could be an A5. But this is mislabeled. They have also used the term A11 in their instagram account. Maybe they are confusing BMS for A-scale, or maybe they are intentionally trying to make their product seem better than competitors. Furthermore, not all Japanese Wagyu is Kobe beef. Kobe beef refers to Tajima cattle raised in Hyogo Japan. The export of this beef is highly regulated to only certain restaurants and purveyors, who will display a seal and certificate certifying the origin of the beef. It is rare, expensive, and most importantly, Bush Brothers (Local Butcher's wholesale purveyor) is not certified to sell, nor do they use in any way, the term Kobe Beef. So it is incredibly likely that this product is mislabeled. This isn't illegal (Kobe beef doesn't have a TM in the US), but it is disingenuous. https://www.kobe-niku.jp/en/contents/certification/index.html https://instagram.com/bushbros Next, "sake infused"is incredibly confusing. Is it referring to the myth that Kobe cattle are massaged with sake? Is it referred to the use of koji (fermented cooked rice) which is often used as an aging accelerant? Or did they really take Japanese Wagyu and infuse (inject, soak?) with sake? And why on earth would you do that!? It would be like making sangria with a bottle of DRC. This product is likely a A5 strip loin (which Bush Bros. does carry) that has been aged. Market price would be somewhere around $175-185/lb. (An unaged cut would be around $150/lb.) When I asked for more information on the most expensive cut of meat in their shop, I was treated with disdain and a dismissive attitude. Neither member of the staff could answer my questions other than to say "It's the highest grade of Kobe beef." To charge $215 dollars for a grade that doesn't exist, for a steak that isn't from Kobe, with an aging method that seems dubious at best, is disingenuous and plays on a lack of consumer knowledge. If The Local Butcher themselves don't know the differences here, they shouldn't sell this product. If they do, they should be ashamed of themselves.

However, the sandwich didn't quite live up to what I remember. The bread didn't taste as fresh as I expected, and the sandwich was lukewarm instead of warm and toasty like I've experienced at other locations. The Dream Bar was also not quite what I remembered. It didn't have the same richness or taste that made it a favorite for me in the past.
