The good: I came by here because I needed to use the bathroom but got a Vietnamese coffee and glazed donut as well. The donut was FANTASTIC! It was the right about of fresh fluff and yeast flavor. It was amongst some of the best donuts I've had. No notes. The bathroom was very clean as well and airy (had an open window up top). The coffee was strong and sweet in that traditional Vietnamese cafe sua da style. They had at least 3 people working when I was there so they're fully staffed. The bad: The display wasn't full and the offerings are quite traditional so if you're looking for some trendy or interesting donut then perhaps this isn't the place because they're definitely more of a traditional donut shop. Troys Donuts and Burgers is another one of those spots that I've driven by so many times when I travel on Myrtle and when I do make remember to stop by, they're already closed for the day. No more, says I, when I woke up two Sundays ago and hi-tailed it to Troys to order some breakfast before their 1 pm closing time. BF wanted to try their breakfast burrito ($6.59) so I ordered that for him, an English muffin ($3.29) for myself, and a donut with chocolate glaze ($1) for us because how could I not when the place has the word "donuts" in their name. The breakfast burrito was hefty and solid. The only improvements BF would recommend include adding some salsa for a kick and having the sausages diced up and placed towards the middle of the burrito instead of on the side of the burrito. The English muffin had sausage, egg and cheese. Very filling. The donut was fresh and fluffy. When I selected it, I was asked if I wanted it filled with custard, so I was surprised to find that if there weren't any filled donuts in the display case, there's an option to fill it. Cool. Now that I had a taste of their menu, can't wait to be back early enough to grab a sprinkled donut and another breakfast item. Very small parking lot, but you can also park on the street.
