We have a new travel trailer that we wanted to upgrade the suspension to the Morryde SRE4000. First off, the shop and office are exceptionally clean and organized. Always a good sign. Paulo met me on the street where there was city construction taking place and offered to back the trailer in. That saved me the hassle of dealing with a crowded street and about an hour to of time... LOL. In a few hours John called letting me know when it will be done so I can get a head start back home in order to avoid the 405 traffic; very considerate! They did a great job installing and Paulo even took the time to show me a little custom work that was needed to make it work at its best. Stronger than stock!!! I have a 71 Ford F250 with a front Twin I-Beam suspension which requires the axles to be bent for alignment of camber and caster. No alignment or frame repair shop near by was willing to touch them. I figured only a truck alignment shop would do it, but it meant driving to the valley. Frame repair/bending axles is typically a pricy thing. Will was very nice, upfront, and honest. I got a ride home I figured it would be an over night thing.. Will called me later that day to update me which I really appreciated. He told me it would he around 700$ bucks between adjusting my tie rod ends, bending for camber, and twisting for caster. I saw this coming. I wasn't entirely surprised. I bit the bullet. F it, get this over with (my tires where losing traction over every bump after I replaced my coil springs). Well lucky for me, Tru-Line still had the original equipment from the 70's and the knowledge of working on my truck from back in the day. If I remember correctly it was his father that alignmed my truck, doing so essentially by eye. Adjust, check alignment, adjust, etc. Well after my camber they took it for a spin and they didn't feel the caster adjustment was necessary until I replaced my tires as they are fairly worn from being out of alignment. Saved me almost half the money. I get a call its ready, I pick it up and it drives like a brand new stinken truck. Handles excellent. Well I notice later that there's still this funky bend to my axle, you'd swear something was awfully wrong with my camber. I give Will a call and he assures me these axles are just funky and although this is true, it was still an expensive job and I had to be sure. He offered to take a look at it if I swung by. Well he showed me with his gauge, the camber was spot on. I felt like an ass bringing it by, it wasn't my intention to insult anyone, it was purely to set my mind at ease on this funky thing. He completely understood my concerns without insult. Excellent bunch of employees here with generations of knowledge. Honest, well rounded, good guys. I will be taking my truck here for any repairs necessary. Cannot recommend enough. Below I attached a picture of my camber illusion. This could be caused by severe wear on my tire. read more

The team at Tru-Line are friendly, honest, and trustworthy. If you are looking for a service shop for your car, you should definitely give these guys a shot! My car had been making a "fun" knocking noise for several months and with the year coming to a close, I finally decided that I had to get it checked out! I brought it to a different auto shop (which will remain unnamed, but strangely also had great Yelp reviews) right around the corner from my place and was told I needed to have my front struts replaced and quoted approximately $750. I paid them $50 for an oil change but told them I would have to wait on the strut replacement since it was Christmas time and money was tight. What I didn't mention while there was that I felt uneasy speaking to the technician and it just seemed that he attempted to butter me up so that he could charge me a "pink tax" (aka a higher rate on service just because I'm a woman who doesn't know much about cars). After picking up my car from the other shop and I headed back to work and I told several of my coworkers about my experience and the uneasy feeling I had. I figured it wouldn't hurt to call a couple other local shops to see what they would quote for the same service and one of my co-workers suggested I call her brother's shop - this one! She promised me that her big brother would treat me honestly and fairly, so I gave him a call and scheduled an appointment for later that week. The Tru-Line team was welcoming from the moment I walked in and called me several times to give me an update on what they were doing with my car. They found that I simply needed to replace the sway bar, a relatively inexpensive part, and charged me $260 for parts and labor - almost $500 less than the other shop would have charged after not even thoroughly investigating the issue. I was so happy that the problem was solved and particularly pleased to have "saved" $500! They were communicative during the process and worked quickly. My family will definitely be bringing our cars back to Bill and his team. read more

I'll start off by saying that Bill, John and the rest of the employees are nice and polite with their approach to customers, but that's the only good thing I'm going to say about TruLine. I came here thinking this was a family run shop that has been doing this for years and is very knowledgeable. I have a 2000 Damon Challenger with a Chevy Workhorse engine and Bill told me that they are very familiar with the engine. Damon is now out of business, so this gave TruLine a lot of leadway to give me the runaround with everything for the last 2 years. I've had a multitude of problems with the coach since it is nearly 20 years old, and everything I ever asked TruLine to do it was always a guessing game of "let's try this". Never any proper diagnosis, or repairs whatsoever. It started with my Auto Park system. They told me it was leaking from the actuator, pressure switches etc. and the WHOLE system needed to be replaced. They said since the coach was discontinued they needed to re-fabricate it, and quoted me over $2,500 and said that still might not even fix it. They informed me that if the trany fluid totally leaked out that the coach would seize up and could be dangerous. I said I'll take my chances at that price. Then a year later, on my way to Burning Man, we stop at a gas station, and what do you know, smoke started coming from the Auto Park system and the coach seized up. A long story, and 5 miracles later, a 21 year old kid who worked at the gas station went under the coach and found where it was leaking from; it was a $20 high / low pressure switch from Amazon and we filled it back up with trany fluid and it was fixed! I even had 2 different mechanics check it out after to make sure everything was good with the Auto Park system, JJP Diesel in Buttonwillow, and Metro RV in Burbank, and they agreed. WOW! Saved me $2,500. Talk about listening to your instinct. Did you guys even look under the coach!? It was the easiest fix ever!!! Next issue, I've been having engine power loss issues for a while with the coach. TruLine charged me to drive the coach around and diagnose it, and tried all types of things to fix it; changing the fuel filter, O2 sensors, and then told me the catalytic converter was partially plugged and I need to replace that for $2,500. Nice number! Once again I declined, and after experiencing serious power loss on the way to Burning Man, I brought it to a mechanic in Buttonwillow, CA and he looked at the spark plugs and spark plug wires and they were toast! Whaddaya know! SPARK PLUGS. The first thing you look at with engine power issues. PROBLEM solved once again. Everything I have brought to them I needed to bring the coach back several times to look at issues. My leveling jacks weren't going down so they had to replace a small switch and it wasn't working even after that so I had to bring it back again for them to fix. TruLine either A) has no idea of what they are doing OR B) are up-charging / ripping customers off left and right so they keep coming back and trying to replace everything under the sun. If you're in LA, I would suggest "The RV Repair Guy - Martin" or "Metro RV". I brought my coach to them for several issues, and yes they are a bit expensive just like everyone else, but they can actually diagnose things correctly and fix them. I'm honestly debating whether or not to contact a lawyer about what happened with TruLine. I don't know how these guys are getting away with this! My Auto Park and engine power loss issues coulda been fixed for like $250 with parts and labor!!! read more

Life Savers! I rent my RV and some last-minute damage was found on the rig, about 30 hours before it was supposed to leave. Have a Honda 2008 GX that I have always had serviced at the dealer. Kept complaining to the dealer of an oil leak and a stutter in the engine. These folks discovered both issues and were resolved. Wont be visiting the dealer anymore to say the least. Will and John are great to work with they explain everything. I also have a 2003 Ford Ranger had an oil leak and the previous shop I went to were not able to get it resolved but these folks figured it our quickly and poof problem resolved. I'm so conflicted. Torn really right down the middle. Part of me wants to give them 5 stars. They are good folks really good in my estimation. Even when I show up a day late they don't yell. They want to I can tell but they don't. They are professional. They also are personal, they noticed my father's military medals and were appreciative of his service, in a way that came across as very respectful. This is 5 star worthy. My problem is that I took my rig there to be inspected, paid the 600. And then took it back to have work done that was discovered during the inspection but ALSO to have the generator looked at as it had stopped working between visits. When I got the call that the work was dome (batteries and airbags) I was told the generator hadn't been repaired because they don't work on diesels. This bothers me because they had ample opportunity to tell me that after the inspection (or before)., their website says Diesel Service as plain as day. And most importantly, sans generator those new batteries are dead. I have no AC in the hottest month of the year. And I also believe that the inspection ignored the generator because it was running. I think this because I looked at the fluid levels myself after this and had they been checked they would've said something about how low they were. ... I thought this was gonna be THE place to take my RV. But now not so sure read more

I had one of the two axles on my travel trailer replaced here, as it was too far out to align. The new axle had a different weight rating and braking capacity. Contacted Bill about these differences, and he called the factory where it's made. There have been changes to the designs over the years, but Bill requested they re-make the axle with the original-size, ten-inch diameter brake drums so it matches the stopping power of the original. Can't beat that for customer service! An old saying says: "It's not what happens, it's how you respond to it, that makes the difference". These guys care about the customer! read more

I had an unfortunate collision in my SUV. The entire passenger side was dented and scraped, including both doors and the rear fender. Bill and his team made it a completely smooth process. They accommodated me from start to finish, first with friendly service and helping me through the insurance process (which they took over from the adjustor onward), then providing a rental car, then consistent updates about the progress of the repair job, and finally an absolutely amazing job when it was done! They had to buy a whole part of the frame, then cut just the piece needed, then cut that same piece out of my vehicle and welded the new piece in its place. It was something akin to surgery. Then miraculously put it all back together, with new doors, a smooth, fresh paint that matched exactly and I couldn't tell the difference - my vehicle was new again! Great job! read more
