Even though we didn't do any business he was kind enough to stay and talk with us. Great experience. I looked these guys up on Yelp and they had good reviews. My car was making a strange noise so I called the shop and explained my situation. He told me that the garage is full but to bring it in ASAP so they could have a look. I did just that and a couple of hours later he called me and advised me of the situation. I told him to proceed with the repair in within two hours, the car was ready for pickup. It was a very fair price. My car broke down- I called AAA and they towed my car to this shop. I had an alternator issue and a leak. Darren is a very kind person and he helped me. Here's the issue- I had to get 2 alternators. I had a leak that was damaging the alternator/battery. The leak was never fixed. $1,600 dollars and about 3 visits later- I wound up having to go to the dealer. Like many people- I try not to go to the dealer because they tend to overcharge you. And I like Darren- His dad wasn't as nice- but Darren was great. I gave them 2 stars for the effort. (And because I like Darren). But having spent all that money to not get my problem resolved is wildly frustrating. And liking them didn't save me any money. They've been in business for many years. This problem should have been fixed sooner. Turns out I need a new power steering pump. That's where the leak was. Go figure. read more

An honest auto repair shop is an oxymoron if I've ever seen one...Yet here they are! Roger and his son Darren have been my go-to for about a year, give or take, and I don't trust anyone else with my car. Whitneys is also the only place I can go that doesn't conclude your visit with a terrible "recommendations list." They'll tell you what you need and whether you can sit on it for a while or if it needs immediate repair. They're prices aren't the lowest around but they are very reasonable. Give them your business! They'll handle it with care. P.s. to dispel a silly comment I saw on here, they're absolutely not sexist. As a woman who's been going to auto shops alone for years, it's never lost on me when I'm experiencing a sexism in a shop. My husband has been taking his truck here for a while and is constantly saying what a great job they do. My 2010 RAV4 had been making an increasingly loud noise, which I attempted to remedy by turning up the volume on my music and podcasts. But when the noise got loud enough to drown out Tony Robbins I figured it was time. When we described the noise to Roger he knew immediately what it was. Just to be sure he drove it around the block and sure enough it was the wheel bearing just as he thought. I once had someone's wheel come flying at me when it came off on the freeway, so I know wheel bearings are no joke. While the price was more than I was prepared for, I'm happy to say that my car no longer sounds like an 18 wheeler. And I feel safe driving on the road again. Yay! read more

This is not a good place for women to get any repairs. You will get ripped off here. Derrick quoted me $259.00 just to get headlights replaced, I said no get me another quote. Called me back and said it was done (without my consent). Cost me $204.00. The best headlights at O'Reilly were going to cost me $54.99 for two. After his 1st quote I was planning to pick up my car, buy the headlights and take it elsewhere to pay for labor only, as i have done before. Unfortunately, he did the job and i was forced to pay for it. I got ripped off for being a female and not doing my homework. read more
