However, do NOT try and request anything specific - not sure if it's on me for having a lady be the one to do a beard trim, but I had asked for a simple clean up keeping the same style and just a bit shorter, and next thing I know she's shaved 80% of it off without asking or verifying anything. Seems most of the poor reviews are from last decade, the staff has turned over by now and those reviews should not reflect this salon today. I started going here after the pandemic when I realized I no longer had to book an appointment days in advance. Online check in works well, at times I take my chances with a spontaneous walk in. Most times I am served, yesterday I was not as others had already booked a time. No problem, I took the risk so I'm about to book my time now for today. So about a month ago I got a bad haircut. Real bad. I had taken a photo in, of me, and she still managed to pooch it up. But my hair grows fast and I get it, it happens. Cut to today, (see what I just did), I go back and try to see another stylist. Three ladies are working, bad stylist, young stylist, blond stylist. Guy comes in and basically jumps the line. Instead of asking me first, I either have to take the bad stylist or wait longer. Yeah, not going to happen. How about managing your customer queue better? I had long hair and I wanted to cut half of my sides off and now I can barley grab it and she just made it 10x shorter than I told her to and messed it up really bad. Not to mention the other barbers do that too and the cuts are really uneven. read more

Previously the on line check in was pretty reliable at holding your spot. Today not so much. My estimated wait time was important as i had several other appointments that were time sensitive. What a surprise to see that my time slot was not really a thing. Although the salon knew i was in the line up, magically the time slot was pushed back to allow 4 others a head of me. And the counter person giggled and said my wait time was now 15 minutes longer....doesnt look like that is correct either. Looks like the check in on line is no longer a thing. read more

Called and spoke to someone at 734 to see if I could still come in for a haircut the person said yes they close at 8. They didn't ask me when I'd get there, however I said I would be there in 10, I got there in 15, I was turned away because they close at 8 and they had already taken a customer. They looked at me like I was stupid and one of them said sorry. Poor customer service and I don't recommend a business that invites you to come in before closing then turns you away because they are closing. read more

I was very unhappy with Great Clips today. I used the app to check myself in, and at that point, there was a 14 minute wait. I drove to the store, noticed I was 3rd on the wait list, and when I sat down, the wait was 15 minutes at that point. OK, no problem. I figured I was third on the list and it wouldn't take too long. But then after waiting another 10 minutes or so, a man went up to complain that he had checked in, but his name wasn't on the list. It was quickly deduced that the guy's phone number was under someone else's name in the Great Clips system (probably a person who previously had that number). So he was checked in, just under the wrong name, as was about 6th on the list, well behind me. But then, inexplicably, the woman in charge decides to arbitrarily take that guy next, jumping him ahead of everyone else in line! Why? It was weird and very irritating, and I left and went to The Hair Cuttery, where there was no wait and I got a nice haircut. read more

Sadly I am going to have to give a poor review after years going there. My oldest went in for a hair cut while home from college. It honestly was the worst haircut I have ever seen. It looked like the stylist had literally just took the top layer of her hair and pulled it up and cut straight across. I got a call from my daughter who happened to be in tears because she knew to fix this..her hair would have to be cut shorter and the stylist had already taken 3 inches off. I called but there was no manager on duty to speak to me. I left my name and number expecting a call the next day. I called around and found a salon that could see her that day to fix this. $ 60 later- she was a happy girl again. That will be another review. Anyway- back to the other disappointing aspect of this. So I am waiting on the call from the manager. I went out during the day to get gas. I left my phone in the car. When i got back to work I noticed that I had a missed a call but there was no message. I looked up the number and it was Great Clips but they didn't leave a message. Seriously, no message. So I figured that maybe they would try me again but no they did not. Not yesterday or today. Maybe they figured if I was upset enough I would call back and maybe I still will but this speaks VOLUMES about their dedication to customer service and their customers.
