Like many we made our reservation well over 1/2 year in advance to meet up with old friends. We were book side by side, but when we arrived we were on different rows. We couldn't even see them from our site. "Not fun after planing all year to spend some time together." And talking to the people in the office was like trying to make a plea to an AI Bot. As a full timer for MANY years, I see more parks doing this to steer people toward a $20 or more "Lock In Fee." On top of all the other "BOOKING" and hidden fees. From them Mid-West over toward the East, this is almost unheard of. Many parks list their price with all the fees ad taxes applied. Nothing Hidden or added. On the West Coast the fees raise the price enormously. Which after owning and running a park for almost 20 years, is just a money grab, (Which this park specializes in.) Like other reviewers here, I had a part that was needed and I placed an Amazon order BEFORE I got there. (It was almost 3 envelopes size.) Then you get there and you are told that there is a $10 fee or they hold your packages hostage. I saw nothing about that when making the reservation. Then the Amazon package was changed to USPS. When it was delivered. I only got 2 items, and was later told that the driver forgot one on the truck and delivered it the next day. Despite telling two employees this. I had to pay $10 to get the second very small package. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer relations!!!!! They extorted more money out of me than the cost of the items. The place is gated, which is a good thing after you see the neighborhood you have to drive through to get to it. And apparently there is an add on fee for 50 AMP that they don't tell you about. The whole experience would just leave a bad impression with anyone. And there's more, but read the other review and disregard those you think might be from management and employees. read more

Thousand Trails in Seaside, I have tried several times to get intol and was not able to because they were so booked and I waited too long to make my reservations my bad we are here now and now I can see why this place is always packed. Seaside is not one of my favorite Thousand Trails parks, however it has so much to do and has shopping close by. I give it 4 stars for this reason. We are full time travelers and it's all about what there is to see and do close by that is important to us. This is a high use park so you have to book early otherwise it's hard to get into. We have never had problems getting into park by doing this. Check in went quickly, staff was friendly and helpful. We checked in on Tuesday found a few sites to choose from. We only looked in the section that has a manned ranger station. We found a fhu 30 amp site with extra space by it. The section has a small lodge, small dog park and laundry room/ bathroom. This building could really use new siding and a coat of paint. The section across the road has a lodge, inside pool, sports court. The road leading to it is very pretty but the sites themself are close together part of them do not have trees around them. As I said this park is all about location. Day trips to Astoria, Seaside beach, Town of Cannon Beach, Tillamook Cheese Factory, Museums, all the different State and National Parks. And of course all the beautiful beaches. Cell service on our AT&T in the park was okay but was iffy during high use times for streaming. Verizon hotspot worked as well but had some issues during high use times as well. We will continue to visit this park while in the area. read more

Where do I begin...we were so excited to explore Seaside and Cannon Beach, and had made our reservations a year out (see brouchure). And while COVID did not cancel our reservation (as this is a private campground), Thousand Trails Seaside did not live up to the expectation. Our fun weekend started upon check in when we learned that all sites were "first come/first served", even with a reservation. We lucked out and stalked someone packing out their site to leave. But many campers could be seen driving the loop several times before giving up and leaving. What they don't tell when you make your reservation is a majority of the sites are "permanently reserved" for members only. So you will be stuck trying to squeeze your RV into the smallest site on the side of a hill or in the mud! All of the "fun stuff" (pool, hot tub, club house) were closed as expected due to COVID, but there was only one restroom open for the entire camp for all cabins, tent sites, and RV's, and it was located the farthest possible location it could be. There were not enough fire pits (see picture of the one on our site for a laugh) as you could see people take from other sites. The only redeeming quality TT Seaside has is its close location to beaches (you are 10 minutes from 3), cute downtown areas(Seaside, Cannon Beach, Astoria), and attractions (Cape Disappointment, Lewis & Clark). And the staff on duty was very friendly, even during this difficult time. read more

Lots to do, but not very many campsites and the "water wellness hour" is so silly. At such a kid friendly place, showing up on a hot day to see a bunch of Karen's glaring at us even stepping foot near the pool in the afternoon is beyond frustrating. Decent rv park, staff is always super nice. Typical lot sizes for a thousand trails park although I've seen worse. Park is well kept. We stayed on the side where the manned gate is. I think that side is a bit better than the other side where the pool is. That side looked a bit more sad. Pool building needed cleaning or painting or something. Dog park needs work. Just a small gravel pen next to other sites. Our dogs hated the gravel and would just bark from all the commotion going on around the pen. So we ended up never using it, instead walking them on the street outside the park. Which happens to be full of blackberry bushes which was rather cool. We have a membership with Thousand Trails. In trying to book a camping spot we were directed from the Thousand Trails website to go to RV On The Go. We did and found sites available for us to choose from, so we did. We got a confirmation email from Thousand Trails as to the date and time of our reservation... only hitch is there was a $200+ fee. I booked the site and decided I could deal with customer service later. They told us that Thousand Trails only has 10 sites to rent out for our membership out of the whole park. The rest are deemed marketing sites for other membership RV programs, and are considered retail sites. Talk about a bait and switch! Very dishonest business practices. Prospective members have pick of the sites first. We wondered why when we purchased our membership the manager said if we couldn't get in to just give him a call and he would get us a site. Needless to say we are giving them a -10 and cancelling our membership! read more

Our family has happily stayed at this thousand trails location three times. We have stayed on both sides but we like the pool side more. The pool and hot tub are awesome just wish they were open longer. We like that the pickle ball court has lightning. The staff is very friendly too. We will be back we only live a couple hours away. read more

Good location in Seaside, about a 10 minute walk to Seaside Beach. The full hookup sites are mostly decent, but many are starting to get muddy (esp an issue when it rains) and could definitely use more gravel. Also, if you don't need frequent access to the (very run down) laundry facilities, I'd recommend staying in the north side. Entering the south side, there is only 1 lane. So if you need to drive in and out, it's very likely you get stuck behind someone checking in and have to wait 10+ minutes just to drive in. The north side doesn't have that issue. Also, the clubhouse and pool are on the north side. However, the clubhouse (while nice) is always occupied by an older man who has Fox News blaring, making it impossible for you to watch anything else, do quiet work, or use the space at all really. He was there every single day I was there. Quite frustrating. read more

Like other locations in the Thousand Trails Resort network, TTR Seaside OR has its pros and cons: The Good: 1. Location in near Seaside town and beach 2. Open camp sites make parking a breeze 3. Clubhouses and an indoor pool and spa. The Bad. 1. Not nearly enough restroom and shower facilities available. 2. Not enough refuse dumpster areas. 3. Lots of nice sites "permanently" occupied by long-term campers leaving the many "dregs" for travelers. The Ugly: 1. Broken and disrepair obvious around camp. Clogged toilets stay clogged for days. 2. Dog amenities are scarce, poo receptacle overflowing. 3. Lame wi-fi in some clubhouse areas only. 4. Lots of lame rules/ timetables/ hours but little apparent "caring" or "goodwill" from staff. read more

just returned home from a stay at this RV resort. It is within walking distance to Seaside and has a nice dog park so it's a win for us. You have to pay for wifi, if you want it, but we just used our phone's hotspots and didn't have an issue. read more

Worst place you could ever go to the bathroom had black mold pieces of shit on the floor and the staff is very rude people they're very rude to if I could give them a -100 stars I would. Arrived at about 12:30 in the afternoon. So glad we didn't get here any later. I checked in and looked for a site. At the time there were only about 5 sites open that could accomodate our 40'er. Really debated driving by them to look to see what else was out there, you can lose the site in a heartbeat. Ended up with one in the north side of the park, near the pool, activity center. We were also close to one of the dog areas. Full hook up site, 30 amp, picnic table, level gravel site, with clear site line for our roof mounted satellite. Sites have a decent amount of spacing between them. Also close to the shower/bath house. Bath house is very clean, 4 decent sized showers with privacy. When we checked in Jerry was the one who greeted us. A very nice, friendly welcome was received. The park also has a pool table, ping pong table, foosball, air hockey, horseshoes, pickleball/tennis court. Only about a mile and a half from the promenade, so definitely walkable. We really enjoyed our stay here, and if the area again, we will be back. read more

Rented a studio cabin for $155/night after taxes and fees in August. Pros: The studio cabin was nice. Had everything you'd need. Bathroom including a shower, also had gas cooktop, dishes, pots, paper towels, dish soap, hand towel etc. The pool and hot tub are really nice and open until 10. There is a dry sauna for those into that and bathrooms by the pool. It is very quiet there. Close to main strip/beach... about 5 minutes driving but walking would take about 45 minutes. Had one queen bed and a queen hide-a-bed that inflates. Comfortable enough for us. Has Direct TV and Wi-Fi in the community room/pool area. Cons: There are a lot of rules and potentially added fees (such as linens, extra cars/guests, fire pit usage). You can't check-in after 10pm. We showed up at 9:30 and had someone staying with us who was going to show up after 10 and, although the let him in, they were not happy about it and gave us a little lecture. It is apparent that several people live there and are not so keen on having guests, but we just ignored it. Impossible to reach the site by phone. You can leave voicemail and someone will call you back in several hours or the next day. I would stay there again if I ever decided to stay in Seaside again, which I probably won't. You only need one day to enjoy Seaside... anything beyond that is overkill. read more

If it is possible to give negative stars I would. In the twelve years of RV-ing we have done, this place is the worst we have ever seen. It is a glorified trailer park. We drove in about 7:00 o'clock, in a small 22' motor home, with no tow, and talked to the attendant at the gate. The RV-ing app we have used across the United States told us the fee per night was $38. The attendant said it was $76 for the night. It was late. We needed a place to stop. So we paid $76. We figured we could talk to a manager the next morning and get everything straightened out. The parking was 'first come-first served'. We found an empty site and set up. The bathrooms were atrocious! I would never take a shower there. The rigs parked in the park looked like they had been there a long time. We stayed the night, and talked to the manager on the way out. She said $76 was their price, and "Those internet sites are sometimes wrong". We told her this was the first time ever that there had been a difference in what was posted to what we paid. read more

This place is quite old and very run down. It's a maze through the place and maneuvering a large rig is very difficult. It's also on a first come first served basis, which means you'll get a crappy spot if you don't get here early, and that may not matter either as there's quite a few older permanent campers here as well. They offer a 20% military discount, but you have to argue to get it. This is not an RV campground I would recommend or stay at again. read more

We have been here many times. Very disappointed this year. We came for Spring Break with our kids as we have done in the past. Usually, there are many activities for the kids during this week. Craft days, movie nights, ice cream socials, bbq's, and breakfasts on the weekends. This year, nothing. The kids were very disappointed. At least there's lots to do outside of the campground. Our kids love to go swimming. The pool water is so murky, that the kids don't want to swim in it. The hot tub is out of order and talking with some other campers, it has not worked since January. Then, don't get me started about our neighbors next to us that work here. This place has gone downhill in the last year. Used to be our favorite campground, but now it's probably our least favorite. Thousand trails is my first time camping anywhere so my opinion may not be the same in the future, however this campground was great! They have a limited activities for both grownups and kids everything is spacious and for the most part clean too! The only problem I had here was if your camping their is a serious raccoon problem. When me and my friends finished setting up our tent we went to go take a trip to the store for firewood and ice and we probably weren't gone for 30 min and our tent had a whole ripped and my dogs food was taken, then later that night at around 11 the raccoons came back and we're getting real close and came back onto our campsite continuously looking for food for 2 nights. So if your not terrified of raccoons this place might be for you! read more

I wish the reservation website included a map. We booked two sites for three families and one family was on the north side and the others on the south side. What fun is that? The older gentleman at the booth was kind and helpful but there was another guy (40ish I would say) who wasn't helpful and actually kind of a jerk. It should also be noted that they never answer their phone. We originally tried to make the reservations by phone so we could talk to them about what our needs were but they never answered their phone.... We must have called a dozen times. On the South side the sites are super close together. It is remarkable quiet though. The campground is super close to shopping and about a 5 min drive to the beach. read more

We camped in a tent, the grassy area was comfortable and close to a pond. PROS: They have laundry facilities on-site with nice showers/bathrooms next door to the laundry. Friendly ranger at the gate who was very helpful. CONS: The tent side of the resort wasn't very tent camper friendly. In order to visit the women's restroom, you have to walk through a pool area that requires you to take off your shoes. I thought it was ok to put my shoes on once I entered the bathroom, but heard a senior woman in a swimsuit huffing a puffing about me wearing sandals. Who wants to walk barefooted in a public bathroom? If this is an issue for the seniors who use this place as a retirement spot, they need to have a separate bathroom/showers for tent campers. This place is geared more for RV campers, not tenters. read more

Kids liked this place. We stayed on the North side near the Pool and courts. Swimming Pool was decent. Spa was not working but some illiterate people were using it anyways. Dry sauna was nice but light didn't work. The pool building needs updating (might have been nice 30 years ago but isn't anymore). Park has some beautiful grounds but like the pool building needs some updates. Horseshoe pits, pickle ball, basketball, and tennis courts were nice. Pet area near the courts is on a little island surrounded by water...if your dog is like mine and likes to swim keep them on a leash. Location is good...about half mile to ocean beach, shops, promenade, and restaurants. read more

We stayed in one of the cabins and had some family stay in another nearby cabin. We found a deal for stay 3 for the price of 2. When we arrived tired in two cars with kids ranging in age from 2-17 we were told they didn't show the coupon code or it wasn't working. It took about an hour for them to get it figured out. My kids had to go potty, thank god someone told us where to go for that. I had read many reviews regarding this evil Jerry. It was even the joke throughout the trip but we never had a single issue that was negative with him. The pool was great but keep in mind that pool opens in morning for adult swim only open so no kids till 930. We had a great time. Location is great. Price is fair. Staff was nice. When you get cabin make sure prepared to clean cabin as it was to when you arrived. We will be back. Maybe to tent camp next time! read more

We stayed there because of the great photos of the indoor pool and spa. These were taken in the past and they are not quite as sparkling clean as the photos indicate. The temperatures are great for them, however, even if their is quite a buildup of wax around the rim of the spa. The check-in process is rough and the focus is on trying to get you to buy a membership even before you have seen the facilities. The person checking us in was very abrasive and angry. He was arranging for personal medical care while checking us in. We had to wait through a line to get there and then were given very bad instructions on where to park. There is no designated parking for those arriving to check in. I found that unacceptable as well as being yelled at for not parking at a site where the rig in front of us was going to actually park during check-in. Everything is rough in this park. It is not a 10-10-10 park. It is probably closer to the other end. The only thing we enjoyed was the indoor pool and spa. To park your RV near there instead of half a mile away you may have to pay a premium because they have 50 amp breakers there for huge rigs and charge extra unless you can find one of the few 30 amp sites. I started taking pictures of the facilities about the third day because the maintenance was not good and I felt they should be ashamed of themselves. The mens bathroom floor was very bad but someone called maintenance while I was initially going around the compound and said somebody is taking pictures of the bathrooms. By the time I got to that filthy bathroom quite a distance away someone had slipped in and cleaned it up a bit. But the shower walls and floor were incredibly filthy as you can see in my attached photos. But maybe maintenance was distracted because they had no water in the half of the park where you check in due to someone digging through the entire water line system (too close to the surface) and causing that system to be totally down. This meant that the laundry facility was even shut down as well as the restroom facilities. Their park water system can't possibly meet any kind of plumbing code. But this seems to mainly be used by people who buy memberships so cleanliness and functionality are apparently of lesser of concern. I don't think I would ever want to be back because the check in is degrading and disrespectful as well as the look of the facilities is rather bleak. The entry sign is pretty but that is about the end of the beauty. I will post some typical photos of what is acceptable to the management of this RV park. Nearby where we camped was a full-time maintenance worker's trailer and it was rather bleak looking and trashed. He had quite a few kids who seemed to prefer being outdoors maybe due to something wrong with the trailer indoors. It was amazingly trashy and I don't understand why they would allow this instead of trying to have a less ugly looking park or move a thoroughly trashed worker's trailer to the back corner of the park instead of right in your face when you enter. So don't let the pictures of the indoor pool and spa give you the impression that anything else looks as good as that photo taken likely 30 years ago when it was less crusty. read more

This place definitely exceeded my expectations. Stayed the past weekend in the cabin with bedroom and thought it was great! Pros: Cable (even movie channels) Almost full kitchen (no oven) Clean Quiet Grill Close to shopping/beach Pool On site activities (tennis, horseshoes etc) Gates with code access Laundry room 2 ceiling fans and a portable one Cons: Bed is pretty hard, also enclosed by 3 walls so if you're tall get a cottage Fire alarm inconveniently located above kitchenette (went off 4 times while making scrambled eggs, with all the windows and fans on) Shower stall is tiny! I had to turn off the water to wash my hair I will be staying here again, most of the cons were easily overlooked (although might bring a mattress pad next time). "Pool area Closed" Due to a Mother not buying her toddler a pool diaper and then allowing her child to pee and shit in the pool!!! I saw her leaving the pool area, not taking responsibility and running away with all of her kids in tow. Thanks for ruining my Mother's Day evening because I wanted to enjoy the hot tub. Def was not impressed with this campground, the check in was less then desirable as there is no room for trailers at the entrance and everyone has to circle around in the loop we got stuck in, additionally the male helping us acted as though he was a police officer telling a nice couple that pulled up while I was checking in they couldn't look around even though they wanted to eventually camp there, running down a trailer because he believed they were speeding... as he sped to do so and just grumpy in general. The landscape is dry and desolate, it's the beach, the one place where everything grows in lush, at least they could mow the weeds and tall yellow grass as you cannot decipher the parking area for your rig to the gravel and dirt you are strictly directed to park on.... just disappointing as this is titled a "resort" we will stick with KOA and others! I even posted a pic of the nice putt putt golf course (being sarcastic)! Happy camping friends read more

There are a lot of pluses to this place. Friendly staff, pretty surroundings and close to town. We didn't know we wouldn't be assigned a spot and would get to choose our own at arrival. While we should have driven around the whole park first to see all our options, we were afraid to lose the first one we saw and took that one. We were backed up against the woods (which is lovely) but there was a continual snow storm of tree pollen or something that made us wear disposable masks when we sat outside. And sitting outside is the whole point. We were also right near a trash can that was supposed to be used only for burnt firewood but people used it for their dog poop baggies, even though it was clearly marked. I couldn't take it and eventually wound up removing them myself and bringing them over to the appropriate trash can. The first few days were still pleasant enough until it got very crowded and we were surrounded by a huge rig on one side and barking dogs on the other. If we ever return, we'll get there early and drive around the whole park first before deciding on a spot. Highlight is proximity to town and all the conveniences that go along with that. read more

Very overcrowded. Very noisy! There was logging nearby and It started at 7am. You can't have a fire so you have to rent a firepit. The wood was $8 which is on the high side if you ask me. The pool and showers were nice. There wasn't any recycling. In my opion way to expensive. read more

Awful from the start. If I could give it zero stars I would. One star is too good for this place. First turn off was the unpleasant staff. I almost feel like they were purposely unfriendly because two of the people I was traveling with were not Caucasian. Secondly, this was a first come, first serve basis, nothing is reserved and you pay up front. We arrived and the lot was almost full. A lot of the slots were chained off or the hookups were not working. We were forced to take a spot by the main sewer line and it was horrible because of the smell. Couldn't sit out and relax. The worst part were the bathrooms and showers. Filthy dirty and smelled musty & moldy. The showers had black mold on the ceiling and in the tile grout. It was everywhere. There were also huge clumps of hair in the drain. Not once did I see a staff member out driving around doing a site check. We even had to buy our own fire ring because there were none available. For the money that you pay, you should at least get a fire ring! The place was a dump, dismal and depressing. Waste of money. read more

Seaside RV Resort is by far the worst camping experience of my life. My girlfriend and I were taking our daughter for her very first camping trip for her 5th birthday. The campground has many activities and amenities listed. None came to be as nice or even existent as described. The Mini golf course is a joke. The basketball court has one lop-sided ball and a basket half missing. The Pickle-Ball courts have paddles but no balls. The swimming pool story will be coming shortly. The tent camp sites are crammed next to each other and tiny. They don't even have fire pits. You have to pay an additional $5 a night to have a fire pit. They also call their park employees Rangers which some of them take way to far with the power they think they have. Ok so here we go. We arrived Sunday afternoon, checked in and headed to pick out our camp site. Instantly we were disappointed by how close and open the sites were. For $40 a night we have neighbors within whispering distance of us and there were no fire pits. We discovered we needed to rent a fire pit for $5 a night which is completely idiotic. We walked to the "Ranger" station and paid for the fire pit for 3 nights. It was large and we were across the park. So we went back to get the truck to pick it up. I removed the rear view mirror red tag they gave us for parking so I could have full visibility of the road. When I got to the station, Sue confronted me and played dumb to me staying there or even purchasing the fire pit not but 10 minutes ago. She said she can't know if I don't have my red tag on my mirror. She did not like my story and told me to place it on my dash. She then told me they had no firewood and Safeway sells some down the road. Ok so I pick up the pit and go to Safeway. On my way back into the park, I enter my entry code and follow another vehicle into the camp site. I drive down the dirt path to my camp site. I am half through unloading when Sue comes stomping down the road after me. Yelling how this is a Loading and Unloading zone only. I tell her how I am unloading the fireplace and firewood. She continues to tell me how this is for unloading of tents only. Completely idiotic as its posted nowhere. She then tells me I was speeding down the road. I tell her this is false. She says, 'You know how I know you were speeding? Because I was the car in front of you." I asked how its possible for me to speed when I was driving behind her going the speed limit. She in a loud voice told me to not talk back to her. This set me over the limit, I just stood staring her down as she ranted for 5 minutes about following rules and how her son doesn't always listen to her either. She also said I was speeding down the dirt road and the limit is 3 MPH which to my defense it is not posted anywhere. I finished my unloading and got on with my night. Monday we hit the beach in the morning, I had the best rueben sandwich of my life and some delicious beers at the Seaside Brewery. Check them out seriously. We come back to the camp site and decide to go swimming. We get to the pool and read Adult swim is from 4-5PM. At this time it was 3:30PM. We tell our daughter we can't swim because its not enough time. An older man exiting the pool said that doesn't matter, they never check, care, and with a girl as precious as her who could say no. So we decided to swim. Come 4:10PM we were confronted by another old man kicking us out. He laughed and chuckled at my daughter crying because she was being kicked out. I cannot describe the emotions I was feeling. We were leaving willingly, to taunt a child like that is so uncalled for and childish in itself. Not to mention he had a little rat dog in a baby stroller even though the sign said no pets allowed. So my Girls head into the shower to get cleaned up as I go into mine. I come out and see Sue standing there harassing my Girlfriend and Daughter in the shower. Telling them its adult swim only time and they were not allowed to use the showers in this building. We were suppose to walk across the park to the other showers. I told them to continue cleaning up, we were not about to move a 5 year old half way through showering across the park to another. There were plenty of showers and no one was using them. Who is that cold hearted??? I tell Sue about the dog they brought and how they were cursing in-front of a child. She tells me they said its a service dog and she isn't allowed to check if thats true or not and is allowing it. Leaving the pool we talked to other residents who were kicked out with their grandkids. Forced to leave without showering. Sue told every kid that came to the pool to swim that adult swim was being extended another 30 minutes for every 10 minutes my daughter was showering. Leaving building we were talking about how poorly this was all handled. Non members of TTrails have a different campground. So when you see pictures of Seaside TT RV Park and the grass is green and lust, pool, etc....that is only members campsite. The non members is brown, but clean, all hook ups. Lots of room between camp sites. A lot of rules, but they are trying to stay under Thousand Trail rules. For short term great. Town close and beach nice. Grocery store very close. read more

Close to town (walkable or bike-able). Clean. Lots of amenities as all Thousand Trails have. Separated in two areas, and the pool, lodge, etc can be a walk depending on where you land. The quirky and downside to TT is sites are first come-first served. So you drive around looking for a site that works for you. I recommend coming early, especially when it's still light! Horrible customer service and completely inflexible cancellation/change policy. I tried to change my nights from Friday/Saturday to Thursday/Friday. There was a cabin available to do so, but Expedia could not get in touch with them to do this. And even though I was asking to stay the same amount of time, I faced a penalty of 1 night's fee ($147) for just wanting to change. Nope. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more
