I love Truckle Cheesemongers. This spot is a wine and cheese lover's paradise. Located in the Devil's Triangle in Museum District, there are usually easy to find free parking spots out front. You can also bike or bus here. They used to be located in Blue Bee, but they've been in this new location for a while now. The vibe is amazing. There is so much great natural lighting and quite a few options for comfy seating. It's a casual spot. They really make cheese approachable here which I love. My friends and I recently went for Raclette Sunday. They have this during colder months on Sundays from 12-5pm. I had always wanted to try it because I love the French style raclette. Turns out they do a different style here, and everything already has the delicious cheese poured on it for you. I wish I knew this in advance, but it was hard to learn more beyond the date and time on their website and Instagram. I think their Instagram tells you the different type of raclette's you can get that specific week, but I haven't been back to confirm yet. Do know they pour the cheese on for you behind the counter. So if you want to see the cheese wheel you'll have to stand there to watch. They are super accommodating and kind here. The last few times I've gone, my bestie who is gluten-free has been given gluten-free options. They also had one of my favorite Duke's Hot Tomato Summer specials this year. This is a fantastic spot to take a date or meet up with friends at. Even though it's a casual spot, the whole vibe is really elevated by the quality of service and products here so it makes it feel special. It's great for a light snack or a meal. I highly recommend checking it out.

First time to their new location very busy on a Sunday afternoon. Lots and lots of different kinds of cheese and beautiful cheese plates. One of my favorite foods in the world is a grilled cheese and they had three different options and it was quite yummy. nice selection of wine and beers. They also have cheese and wine, you can take home.

I went on Sunday for lunch and it will now become a regular sandwich spot for me! I already loved popping in for a cheese tray and glass of wine, or to get some cheese to go, but the sandwiches are a game changer! I split a turkey, Brie, and Dijon and the prosciutto Brie sandwiches. Both were so rich and so good! I usually go in in the evenings, but going at lunch had a whole new feel! It was very cool and casual and laid back! Check it out for a good fresh sandwich!

Truckle Cheesemongers is an incredibly nice bespoke experience for cheese afficionados, and I happen to be one! After seeing all of their amazing photos on Instagram, I knew I had to stop by and give them a try as soon as possible. While the timing didn't work out on their raclette (which is only on Sundays and only for part of the year), I still came by with a friend and tried out their special grilled cheese and the incredible Luxembourg Gardens, which we split. It's impossible to pick a favorite since they were perfect from start to finish: delicious bread, fantastic meat, and the most savory cheese imaginable. We didn't opt for alcohol on this occasion, though my friend did order a latte and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Our server was excellent and made regular callbacks to ensure we had everything we needed. She was very polite and went out of her way to educate us on the offerings here. I would definitely consider this a treat, not only because of how great it is but also because it's definitely on the pricier side for lunch fare. That said, you get what you pay for, which is an unforgettable luncheon! If you can spare the silver and the time to find a parking place, you should absolutely try it out. Overall: 4.5 stars ----- Pros: - Some of the creamiest, most delicious cheese I have ever had, paired with outrageously good bread and meets. - Excellent, personalized service, a rarity these days. - Nice interior. - Great selection of specialty bleu cheeses in the case. Cons: - Prices are rather high (ended up being a $40 lunch even without alcohol) but still absolutely worth it. - Parking around here is touch and go, all I can say is mind the signage and be prepared for a little walk on busy days.

Truckle Cheesemongers is an amazing wine & cheese shop with a variety of cheeses and wines! The service is impeccable! I truly enjoy their staff. They are very knowledgeable and personable. The quaint wine shop is the perfect place to decompress and let your hair down! I have tried a variety of cheeses and wines! They introduced me to orange wine and I'm never turning back! Their small plates are delicious and if you're a cheese girl like me then you should definitely try one of their grilled cheese sandwiches! 10/10 I would highly recommend Truckle Cheesemongers!

Truckle's is now located at 714 N Sheppard St. They used to be inside BlueBee cider. The new location is more of a bar/cafe. There's plenty of bar stools and small cafe tables. The restaurant looks clean and neat. They have a nice cheese, wine and beer section to choose from. The are also a small market where you can grab various items to go. I like stopping in when we don't have a lot of time to have a full dinner. The service at the bar is quick and friendly. The staff is always willing to go over the menu with you. They always have interesting cheeses which you probably won't find in most other stores. So it's fun to try something new. My only complaint would be that the wines they sell at the bar by the glass are not offered in the market area. So if you enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar you can't buy a bottle to go. They offer different wines in the market. They have a cheese club where you can pickup a different cheese box every quarter paired with crackers or bread and some fruit or nuts. The selection and side pairings seem to go well.

Really quaint/cozy space. They have a unique selection of cheese but I've got to say the hot soppresata is amazing here. Try the Raclette on sundays for a fun experience!

Truckle Cheesemongers just moved to my neighborhood so I had to try it! The atmosphere is the perfect balance of quaint and elevated. I love the way they designed the space! A variety of seating including tables, bar seating, and lounge seating options. All the staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in deciding what to get. My friend and I each got the bubbly and we split a small cheese board ($19) which you select 3 cheeses from a list, and it came with almonds, raisins, and unlimited bread. We got the brie, blue cheese, and manchego. All were surprisingly stronger than other cheeses I've had but very good! On Thursdays they also create pairings for free tastings which was fun to try! Overall it was a great experience. A little pricy for me to be a regular but I had a great time, and I recommend as something fun and different to do, or if you are looking for an elevated but intimate atmosphere!

I'm mad at myself for not discovering this place earlier!! This is a cute cheese bar with lots of variety of cheeses and wine pairings. As a cheese lover I had to try their cheese plates and their grilled cheese! OMG their signature grilled cheese featuring a shelburne cheddar with a lemon tarragon mayo was to die for!! The gooey cheese with the prominent herbs and subtle mayo/citrus flavors made me want more. For the cheese plate, I got to try the following cheeses (in order of my preference): -appalachian (raw cow) - definitely more classic "cheese" flavors and very creamy. Paired really well with the dried cherries! -albala (sheep) - couldn't really tell the honey but definitely with floral notes and strong rosemary spices!! Paired really well with the ham and bread. -ossau (raw sheep) - a little stronger lamb flavor but still pretty good. Paired well with the dried apricots. -Lady Edison Country Ham - we wanted to try something local and this country ham was a little stronger and "meatier" than your typical prosciutto -Also wanted to give a shoutout to their dried apricot because it wasn't too sweet and had a mint-y almost basil-y aftertaste that made it super refreshing when paired with the ossau sheep cheese. Overall very cute aesthetics with in/outdoor seating, bar area, and bright lighting with accents of dark green/blue!! The plates and plating of food were also very pretty. Staff were nice and patient! Hands down would recommend for a quick bite/happy hour/date!!

Finally Richmond has their own cheese shop! Yay! They opened a month ago and the place is still looking a bit rough but cheese selection and service definitely makes up for it. They are still bringing furniture/display cases in but that didn't bother us. They have great cheese and meat selections, wines and crackers too. We ordered large cheese tray 35$, small is 19$ - you pick 3 out of 5 different cheeses that are on menu. I guess selection changes. There's also cured meats selection and we ordered prosciutto 10$. They make charcuterie board with your cheese/meat selection and add some dried fruits, nuts, sliced bread and crackers and bring it to your table. Looked very pretty and tasty and I would say large is plenty for 3 people. Cheeses we picked were pecorino, manchego and Swiss alpine - they give you description of each cheese so you pick what you like! You can get extra bread or crackers if needed. My friends and I shared a bottle of Cava nice light sparking wine. We also tried their house made pimiento cheese which was cheesy, tangy and peppery but not spicy. They were offering samples of house made beer cheese - creamy and with some kick and not too hoppy. As for other foods they have sandwiches like grilled cheese but we didn't try it. There's no menu for those as far as I know so I'm assuming they make sandwich of the day or something like that. It was not clearly noted anywhere. All in all this place is looking great and very promising! I'm looking forward coming back soon!

We have been truckle fans for a long time ever sense they opened up at the old location. We did the cheese club and it was so cool getting new cheeses every month. Love the new spot and how you can just grab some wine or beer with your cheese and sit in a beautiful space relaxing. We are big fans of the owner too! Def don't want to miss this spot.

The Pedestrian, freshly sliced prosciutto, and French butter.

Always a great day when I get to experience Truckle Cheesemongers! The Pedestrian is a favorite and I always take home freshly sliced prosciutto, a delicious cheese, and sometimes French butter

Run; don't walk to this amazing cheese shop and wine bar. My husband and I had their wonderful signature grilled cheese and some wine for our last dining out meal of the year and really loved it. Their new brick and mortar space is within walking distance of our place. It's really nice with seating at the bar, a few tables and some lounge sofas. The ladies at the shop were super friendly as well. Just really dig that place. Anyway, I plan to take their charcuterie board making class next time they have it. Highly recommended! Oh and I left with a jar of cornichons too that went so nicely with their grilled cheese. You'll find everything you need here to make your own charcuterie board at home!

It is fast casual - you order at the kiosk and grab a place to eat, listening for your number and/or text to alert you the food is ready. We arrived about 6pm on a Saturday night. It was busy and I grabbed one of the last two tables. It got very busy shortly after we placed our orders. The dining area is pretty big with plenty of bar seating around the windows. While we all ordered one after the other, our food didn't come out that way. Most of the food came out in about 25-30 minutes. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Juicy! Two people got tenders and three of us got sandwiches. The OG sandwich was very good, just messy! I ended up using a fork and knife bc it got too messy. The Mac and cheese was made with pimento cheese and was very good. My friend who got the fried green tomatoes said they were delicious and filling. Lots of goodies on top. Two friends enjoyed the collards. The only person who was underwhelmed was the person who got the Asian sandwich. Overall, if I wanted a good chicken sandwich and a Buttermilk and Honey was nearby, I'd place an order.

I asked the owners how long they've been here (assuming it was only a few years). This unassuming store has been here for 25 years. I went here on a whim and let me tell you, I will be a frequent customer. This is a hidden gem of a grocery store. Some of the things that caught my eye were: * Imported European butter (high quality butter). * Tons of imported, cured meats * Perogies, meat dumplings, mashed potato dumplings, etc. * A fantastic selection of tasty mustards * Pickled & fermented items such as sauerkraut, pickled vegetables, pepper spreads * A wide variety of tasty jams * Fresh farmer cheeses * Imported Cheeses * Homemade desserts * Homemade, old world, artisan bread * Much more Another person left a comment exclaiming that items here are pricey. I want to share my thoughts and why I think it's 5 stars and not pricey. So, first, I love the salami here. I bought a few kind of Salami but the German Salami is very nice. Now that being said, as of today it's like $20/lb. But, few important things to note. 1) it's Imported from Europe. 2) The richness & complexity of flavor is so much better than your $7.99/lb grocery store chain salami. The flavors are complex and wonderful. It's truly something where you keep wanting more. This is ideal for a charcuterie board or something where you want people to really notice the bold flavors. It is worth the price. Secondly, their homemade desserts are out of this world. I guarantee you that you have had few desserts that are this good. They are unlike the processed junk we get even at nice grocery store bakeries. One bite and you're in heaven. So much so we went back immediately the next day to get more. Third, they are making their own variety of bread loaves. I wish I had gotten a picture but they are as beautiful as they are delicious. This isn't old world bread. Artisan bread. You aren't getting this elsewhere. Overall, the quality of everything is just very good. It's a taste of eastern Europe. It's a treat and a delight. You should do in and try it. You won't be disappointed. Sure, many of the products may be unfamiliar or even written in a language you might not understand. But the staff is friendly and we're glad to answer my questions. As I am sure they will be glad to answer yours. And, honestly, go in and ask them what they recommend. Try thier favorite foods and favorite desserts. I tried their black currant dressert (black currants are not widely available in the US but are delightful) and I never would have if I didn't ask for a recommendation. At minimum, go in and get 1/4lb of cured meats, some dessert, some bread, and why not some mashed potato dumplings (perogies)... You won't be disappointed.

The deli itself is great, and makes a lot of awesome sandwiches for decent prices. As I said, I don't like the weird upcharges for certain ingredients, but so be it. It makes the prices of a sandwich soar from decent to ridiculous. The sandwiches aren't altogether authentic Italian NY-NJ style, but they are very good. I loved the parts of it that I had fresh, however when I had the rest of the sandwich a little later it had gotten extremely squidgy and soggy because they use a regular loaf of bread rather than anythng hard or Italian. Again, makes it less authentic but still very tasty. Despite these remarks, I haven't had a sandwich this good in the Richmond area before, so you should give it a try. And if it were Niche Produce, then they'd only sell unusual and hard to get hipster vegetables and sandwiches. Whereas if it wer Nix Produce, it would close down soon. And if it were Knickers Produce then I would have torn them down a lot more quickly and intensely than I did in this review.
