Wasn't a bad experience but for what it is, it definitely isn't worth the cost. I purchased the shrimp kabobs which were just two shrimp skewers with a side of pita. They were good but any other greek/Mediterranean spot i have been to have some grilled veggies or rice, etc to go along with the kebabs and pita, so for $16 that was kind of a bummer. Their apple pie pierogis weren't bad for a sweet treat, but I think I might pick another option to try in the Trolley Barn next time. read more

True Blue Mediterranean is a restaurant located inside the Trolley Barn Public Market in Quakertown. They specialize in Gyros and other Mediterranean dishes like hummus, babaganoush, and falafel. I ended up ordering the lamb gyro. The marinated lamb is served with their special LemonaiZe sauce, shredded lettuce, and tomato. The gyro was good, but it could of been great. Unfortunately the lamb with a little overcooked. The LemonaiZe sauce is amazing! It's a blend of garlic, lemon purée, yogurt and mayonnaise. It's so popular they sell the sauce separately. I have been wanting to stop at the Trolley Barn for sometime so when I was in Quakertown the other day and was a little bit hungry I looked up what they had to offer and saw they had Mediterranean food! I was excited it's not something I get often and this place was really good. I'll admit I was very tempted to get falafel but I opted for the chicken gyro instead. It said that it came with falafel chips, I did get some kind of chip which was tasty but it didn't really remind me of falafel. I didn't get a picture because I ate it too fast but the chicken was seasoned perfectly and tender and it came with tomatoes as well and pickles and a great sauce. I opted to get it green which came with black olives and feta which I opted for to have on the side - it was definitely delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more food! read more

I ordered a Lamb Gyro at the Trolley Barn location. The menu that was presented was concise and the prices weren't too bad considering the other stands within the Trolley Barn. After receiving my gyro, I was met with wonderfully juicy slices of lamb and appropriately portioned toppings all wrapped within a warm, fluffy pita. Unfortunately though that was some of the best lamb I ever had, the wait wasn't ideal in the slightest. It was about a 15 minute wait for a walk up stand and there were seemingly only two orders ahead of mine, one being another lamb gyro my buddy was getting. The Trolley Barn uses pagers at their restaurant, which is absolutely necessary because otherwise 20 people would just be standing in front of the stand waiting for their food. I've had gyros at fairs that were slightly cheaper and delivered 10x faster before. Great food, poor wait time. read more

Wish I thought to take pictures but I was too busy chowing down! Got an appetizer of hummus with chicken that came with sliced pita and pita chips and also a chicken gyro. Absolutely outstanding! I chatted with the owner and everything is fresh and house made and it tastes like it. And the sauce they put on the gyro isn't your usual tzatziki sauce...it's BETTER! And the owner...an absolutely lovey man!!! He and his wife (also equally lovely) also own the crepe establishment right across the walkway (and yes, I had one of those too and these people know how to cook). We ordered two lamb gyros and 2 spinach pies. We waited almost a 1/2 hour for the food to be ready. The pita was cold and and lamb was warm at most. We did not even eat the spinach pies. Not sure what took so long, perhaps only having one cook on a Friday evening? Even so, the food should have been hot. We have eaten at the Emmaus location numerous times and expected the same quality of food. This was not the case at the Trolly Barn location. read more

Stopped by True Blue in Trolly Barn to get lunch with my daughter and granddaughters, since we like Mediterranean food this place caught our eye, the menu and prices looked better than other places in this location, so we tried the Lamb Gyros, the little ones had chicken tenders and fries and smoothies. We are STILL talking about how GOOD the food was, how FRIENDLY Danny was and all the information he gave us (including delicious samples of fried cauliflower and a good portion of humus). The gyros were the best we've ever eaten, FULL of tender lamb, perfectly cooked and juicy AND since my daughter had to have Gluten Free he made sure nothing crossed contaminated her food - SO good to know you can get good GF food here. Even our little ones are talking about how amazing the food was - next time I'll take a photo. This place will be our main GO TO for lunch when I'm in the area! read more

I have yearned for a Mediterranean restaurant in Quakertown for years, and this place does not disappoint. My husband ordered a steak gyro, and I ordered a hummus gyro. We both opted for "Greek style" gyros - add black olives and feta. We shared a cauliflower appetizer, with their proprietary lemonaize sauce. Everything was perfect - seasoned perfectly, fresh and flavorful. I will definitely try the cauliflower wrap next time because I'm hooked on their seasoning and the lemonaize. We'll be back soon! Everything we have tried so far had been delicious including the basmati, gyros, and appetizers (highly recommend the cauliflower). Additionally their staff and owners are extremely friendly.
