Being from the Midwest, Dr. Weil's anti-inflammatory diet and pyramid is virtually an unheard of concept. Because in Indiana we eat meat...red meat, beef meat, and pork meat, just to name a few. If you like mushrooms, you must get the Wild Mushroom Pizza. It's amazing!! The other offerings we enjoyed included: Vegetable Crudités (aka garden in a bowl), Autumn Ingredient Salad w/ Grilled Chicken, Chicken Chopped Salad, and the Gluten Free Chicken Sausage Pizza. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the Autumn Ingredient Salad even though it's composed of all the items I don't particularly enjoy or would even think of throwing together. Think about it, "Roasted Cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts, Squash, Mulberry, Pomegranate, White Bean & Horseradish Vinaigrette." Weird mix right? Everyone at the table also ordered a "natural refreshment." Fancy names, but I don't they were that memorable. read more

Stopped here for lunch with my family. I've been here quite a few times and it never disappoints. As far as Covid protocols go they have limited indoor seating as well as ventilated and inclosed(heated) patio as well as a additional heated outdoor seating. Now to the food! We got a kale cooler, sparkling Yerba mate tea, a kids cheese pizza, lasagna Bologna's, steak tacos, and a winter immunity bowl with tofu. The kale cooler was good but the sparkling Yerba mate was fantastic! The kids cheese pizza was huge for an individual child's pizza. 2 younger kids good definitely share it, my 9 year old has eaten the whole thing before but this time there were 3 extra slices. It was cooked perfectly and very cheesy! My son always gets the steak tacos, this time with a side of sweet potato has. The steak pieces were big and they were a generous portion, very tasty. My mom ordered the lasagna bolognese which was really good, I've ordered this before and was disappointed in the serving size and amount of sauce. Not this time. The size was great with a plentiful amount of sauce. It has gluten free noodles as well as fennel chicken sausage, mushroom, organic spinach, and ricotta. I ordered the wellness bowl with tofu for an additional $4. It was really good! Lots of kale, lions mane mushrooms(tasty and soft if you've never tried), farro, quinoa, carrot, broccolini, garbanzo bean, edamame, and a garlic broth. This place was great, I've just moved to Denver recently and have already been here multiple times. It's like a cross-breed between fast casual and over the top healthy fanatic type of place. Aside from the clean, clear atmosphere I do love that the food is so fresh. They have a few options that are things I'd be interested in (Most of the fake meat and too healthy stuff is not my style) but overall I really love the food. Most recently I've gotten the Ancient Grains Bowl and added Chicken. I loved it! Don't forget to ask for their hot sauce on the side! The do have a cool list of fancy healthy type drinks, I've gotten a couple and in all honesty normally have no idea what I'm drinking but they've been pretty good. The only thing holding me back from giving this place 5 stars is the price. While I mentioned earlier it's a take on fast casual, it has "sit-down pricing" for sure. You'll pay the same amount here as you would a nice dinner with alcoholic drinks, but I guess it's worth the premium to be healthy. read more

I was very excited to try True Food because they pride theirselves on being anti-inflammatory. And it wasn't terrible food but unfortunately it was nothing to rave about either. I ordered the burger with no cheese and half kale salad half sweet potato hash. The burger was very good but the sweet potatoes were very plain and bland. I felt the same way about my sisters order, the teriyaki bowl with tofu. Tofu had almost no flavor :( the sparkling prickly pear tisane was the most delicious item of the evening. If you are looking for healthy and delicious food this is the place you need to visit. Everyone are so nice and polite. The place was crowded but it felt like we were in a nice environment. I've been here few times and I'll tell you whatever you order is going to be good. I guess they have some special recipe for each food. If you haven't been here you should give it a try. I am writing this because I do not want anyone else to go through what my family and I went through this evening. We were seated in the patio area. There was about a five foot rip in the plastic sheeting. The table we were sat at was next to it. I asked to move, the table was moved a few feet sideways. It was too cold to eat there. I asked our waitress to move us elsewhere, and I asked the hostess at the front desk to move us. Neither happened. We decided to leave after 15-20 minutes of sitting in the cold air. The manager comped us for the appetizer and drinks and made weak apologies and explanations. We had come to this restaurant dressed casually. We had been there many years before and the atmosphere was very casual then. Maybe that was why we were put in the worst table possible. I do not understand why anyone would be seated in that section of the restaurant. It was a highly disrespectful and ruined that part of the evening. Afterwards we just went across the road to Flower Child by the mall. It was warm, respectful and the roasted brussel sprouts were better than the ones we had at True Food Kitchen! read more

Wow! Talk about an experience to remember. The food was great, the vibe was fantastic and the service was spectacular. I enjoyed the tuna tostada and spicy curry, but I have to be honest, I think my wife won with the poke bowl--incredible. Our 2-year old toddler even stole some bites and in her words "Mmmmmmmmm." We loved the variety the menu offered and it was very accommodating to different dietary restrictions. Ok, but the real star of the show was our server, Morgan! How am I supposed to have dinner now that I know what it's like to have him there, making us laugh, making us cry (because of laughter) and taking us on a culinary adventure we won't soon forget. I have been coming to "True Food Kitchen" in Cherry Creek for years and always enjoyed the food and service. Went for lunch with my daughter recently and had a terrible experience. The food was cold, the hamburger had a long hair in it, the sweet potato fries were soggy and cold and the chicken soap came out of a box. Service was good. Never returning. Shame used to be one of my favorite places to eat. read more

I love it here. I have come in to sit at the bar multiple times now and I'm always well taken care of. The ambience of the restaurant is laid back but elegant. I come in for the tuna tostada and it hits every time. I had a glass of the sauv blanc from california today and the bartender offered a taste beforehand. Both the bartenders are lovely (Avonlea and Brooke). Finished my time with the squash pie. Its similar to a pumpkin pie but lighter and it came with a great amount of whipped cream.
