The service is so good here. Chris our server from Chicago was amazing - over and beyond good. I don't find service in denver to be that great, but after chris left our table , my son asked , "are we in nyc?" . Chris was helping another table and noticed my daughter knock over my iced coffee and without a word he brought over another and cleaned the mess. He anticipated our needs. We need more service like this in higher end spots! In a casual spot like urban egg, this really stood out and was incredibly appreciated. The food here is also delicious. The bacon jalapeño jam is out of this world. They should bottle it. I usually don't think eating breakfast/brunch out is worth it but this place is fantastic . [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ate outside. Wow. This was probably the worst restaurant I've been to in Denver, and I've lived here 10 years. All the 5 star reviews are so confusing to me - do y'all have taste buds? My #1 issue: the food was SO bland. The chicken I got was the most unseasoned chicken I've ever eaten - zero salt. Biscuits and gravy were smothered in so much sausage and gravy, yet the salt again was non existent so could barely taste anything. Beyond the food that tasted like nothing, [[HIGHLIGHT]]nearly every dish we got was dirty. My water glass had a floating piece of food in it and every plate had smudges or crusty bits from not being washed properly after the last customer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So disgusting. And finally, [[HIGHLIGHT]]despite a reservation and a pretty empty restaurant we were seated in one of the worst spots. The tables are so close together, I felt like I was sharing my table with the people next to me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Super awkward and uncomfortable. In Cherry Creek and we are looking for a quick breakfast, not a bagel. Around the corner from our hotel was Urban Egg and the it appears busy. Why not give them a try? For a Friday morning, the place was busy. Portions here are generous and the alcoholic beverages are flowing. We ordered a biscuit with sausage gravy and a lemon ricotta pancake accompanied with an egg. The biscuit was decent and packed full of sausage. For so much sausage, the flavor was mild. The pancake lacked any real lemon flavor and was topped with the ricotta. The flavor never really blended and was a disappointment. The staff was upbeat but understaffed, we needed to signal several times for service. Urban Egg in Cherry Creek was fair, but lacked real flavor. I can't recall anything that made our breakfast memorable. A large crowd would probably disagree as the place was very busy. read more

I visited the Cherry Creek location of Urban Egg this weekend with some friends-- if you plan to do the same I highly recommend getting on the online waitlist ahead of time to save yourself a wait! Our server was exceptionally kind with the sweetest southern accent, and helped to guide us in the right direction as first timers. To start, we ordered the cinnamon rolls and the billion dollar bourbon bacon. The cinnamon rolls came out beautifully hot and flaky, topped with savory bacon jam and a delicious, melty cream cheese icing. The billion dollar bourbon bacon was seasoned in a peppery dry rub and served with a side of maple syrup for dipping. The bites of bacon that were more on the fatty side were as close to an ambrosia as could be accomplished, while the more muscle-laden bites were a bit difficult to get through. Both starters were incredibly decadent, nearly filling our party of three on their own! Our main courses, however, unfortunately left some excitement to be desired. Maybe it was because our party was already decently full, but none of the entrees really wowed us. Our incredibly kind server directed one of our guests to order the hot chicken eggs Benedict, which ended up being far too hardy and flavor-packed for our liking. The egg entrees also felt a bit lack-luster. That said, this could be attributed to the wow-effect of the appetizers. Maybe our expectations got too high following those first bites! I will say, I love the bold peppery taste of their house hash browns, I suppose I'll need to try this joint again to see if other entree options can live up to those amazing starters! read more

Great breakfast spot located in a nice area. Staff was welcoming from the start. We were seated without a wait and had great booth seats next to the big windows looking out at the city. Coffee was good, decided on a simple black coffee however the menu offers a variety of yummy cold brews accompanied with delicious cold foams such as a vanilla or a matcha cold foam. THE BIG: Located in the Cherry creek area of Denver and right off East 1st street overlooking the cherry creek shopping mall. Indoor and outdoor tables available, however outdoor does get hot and the sun reflects off of the buildings glass that causes a mean glare. Street parking and garage available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here to eat after our Soulcycle workout and saw this place. When we first drove in, there was a huge line at 9am. When we finished our workout, the lines died down and we were able to snag a table outside. For food, we got the biscuits and gravy as well as the protein bowl. The biscuits and gravy was absolutely delicious! Biscuit was fluffy and crispy below the gravy mix. Gravy was nice and rich with chunks of meat. The protein bowl had everything healthy that included chunks of protein and then the good carbs with potatoes and greens. THE FINAL BAMBOO: For two dishes and a coffee, we spent around $40. It was all delicious, hot, and tasty! Our waitress was attentive, and we watched the manager go around to each table (including ours), asking how everything was and what they could do better. WOW.....what a find!!! Right from the start, we were very impressed!!! The hostess went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and seated us right away. Super friendly!! Right after that, came our waitress, and she was just as friendly as the hostess, so I knew that we are in the right place. I started with the Breckfast Old Fashioned (they use Breckenridge bourbon) and my GF got the ultimate mimosa. My fashioned was pretty sweet, which I assumed it would be, but very tasty. We decided to try out the.Billion $$$ Bourbon Bacon and DAMN.....it's good!! Big thick cuts of bacon topped with a bourbon glaze.... What's not to like about that?!?!? Absolutely delicious. My wife had the pancake flight and the strawberry pancake was her favorite. So much in fact, she stated she believed it was the best pancake she has ever had. I had the egg omelette with spicy chorizo. The chorizo had good spice but there was not enough if it in the omelet and I wish it had a little more flavor. The Strawberry/Apricot jelly was delicious.
