I don't know if they were just out of things or changed the salad but not the description online but it was NOTHING like the salad I have had before. There was no potatoes of any kind. Just three stale bbq potato chips on top. It didn't come with a deviled egg or bacon or anything. Just chopped up ahi tuna (not seasoned), capers, garbanzo, beans, and stale potato chips. I've only been to Olive & Finch for breakfast or lunch, and my experience has always been positive. I'm not sure I'd like the order-at-the-counter, grab-seat concept for dinner, but it works well for me during the day. I especially enjoy their delicious pastries and artisan sandwiches, and I love just about anything they offer for breakfast. The Cherry Creek location has a contemporary feel, with plenty of natural light and a pleasant patio. I've been coming back year after year, and I hope they keep it up! read more

I do think the prices are a bit high for a place where you're expected to bus your own tables and with a 2-hr wifi limit, but they are Cherry Creek and there isn't a ton of seating, so I understand - it's just why I still can't give 5 stars. Things I've had: lemon bar, juices, cheesecake, mocha. Everything is yummy! I came here on a whim after visiting the Denver botanical gardens, since it was a short drive away. After grabbing some street parking not far away, it was a couple block walk to get inside. We ordered the Ankara sandwich to share, and honestly, it really impressed me. It had roasted Turkey, apples, Brie, arugula, and walnut aioli on a baguette. It was packed with flavor and was one of the most memorable deli sandwiches I've had in quite some time. The turkey wasn't boring sliced deli meat, but rather tender pieces. All of the ingredients were so harmonious, it was delightful. I also had a half order of the goddess salad, which was mostly sliced cucumbers, avocado, and mint with green goddess dressing. It had fried capers, which added a nice saltiness, but it could have used a bit more salt. We also had the blueberry soda, which was refreshing and delicious. If I hadn't been so satisfied from half a sandwich and some salad, I would have checked out their desserts. I would definitely come back here and recommend it for a nice, light but satisfying lunch. read more

This is one of my favorite local breakfast options. Here in Cherry Creek they have equal amounts of inside and outside seating and on a sunny spring day it's a great spot for brunch. Order at the counter or grab a table and order directly using the QR code assigned to each unique seating. Food is fresh and delicious and arrives at your table very quickly. They have a huge selection of pastries that can't be denied. The strawberry poptart had my name written all over it. So good but too much for one meal. The breakfast tacos are so good and piled high with guac, beans, eggs, salsa and cotija. The breakfast fries are crunchy on the outside and tender in the inside. Perfectly seasoned. Coffees. Boozey brunches and all the in between here as well. Street parking and some on site parking to the south make this easy to get in and out of. Definitely a repeat. read more

Decent but incredibly overpriced food served by generally apathetic employees. Having known this restaurantuer since her days at Parallel 17 (anyone else remember that outpost?) I'm really disappointed to see the quality of O&F drop so much these past few years. We went to both this location as well as the location at Union Station and both times I needed to double check the receipt to see how on earth a bland breakfast/brunch for 2 adults and 2 kids cost me more than $70. The food itself is pretty bland (both myself and my wife had to S&P and hot sauce everything which is VERY rare) and I just left shaking my head. I guess this happens when there are so many locations to worry about? Today, there are better options. The potential is still here but it's gone from great to "potentially good." PS. Bring back the Yoshi sandwich. It was reliably excellent. read more

Full disclosure - I adore Mary Nguyen, founder and president of Olive & Finch. She's an amazing person and dedicated to helping the community any way she can. I was lucky enough to attend an event where lunch was catered by her restaurant. What a spread! Fried rice, Dan Dan noodles, Asian slaw, O&F sticky chicken, tofu, mixed vegetables and spicy pork. I forget the exact names since I was too busy eating everything. Love, love the sticky chicken. The sear on the chicken was just right and the five-spice lacquer coating delicious. It's great that they have a dog friendly patio. Not a fan of the partial service where you order from a QR code. I was hoping this could be a casual spot for simple, good food. But I was quite disappointed. It's been many years since I stopped in and I'm so happy to say they are still offering great customer service with tasty food and good coffee! It's very clean in this location and there is a big menu for you to select from. Today I opted for the early bird special that they offer from 7am-9am. I got the 'high five'. The candied bacon was a little on the tough side to chew but still overall tasty. I got the pumpkin seasonal coffee offering and it wasn't too pumpkin-y (that's a positive thing) if that makes sense! I used to frequent the location on 17th many years ago, and I have fond memories of their sandwiches. Today, I visited the Cherry Creek location for breakfast with my wife. My excitement peaked when I saw quiche on the menu. I also opted for the elote biscuit. They even warmed it up for me. The biscuit- It had a nice flavor, whole corn kernels, green chiles, nicely spiced. The texture was off though, I found mine to be chewy and overworked. I was also disappointed not to have been served butter with my warm biscuit. The quiche- It was a generous portion, huge and fluffy with a nice fresh salad along side. Sadly, the bottom of the quiche was soggy and the custard royale was lacking in flavor, and overall just bland. My final disappointment came with the ham itself. With the rind left on the ham, it was identifiable as a common loaf ham, at this price point I expected something more. 2 entrees, 1 coffee drink, and a biscuit ran approx $50 I have wonderful memories of Olive&Finch, and next time I'm nearby I'll be having a sandwich, but I'd be hesitant to stop for breakfast again. read more

I am sooo picky! Sorry in advance. Sunday morning right after opening... Ambiance & staff: Ample and friendly staff. Lovely outdoor seating and dog friendly. Funky entrance. Gorgeous pastry case with many options. Ordered breakfast to stay. Asked for our coffee w/ cream and they wanted to bring it to us, yet we had to go back inside to get cream after it arrived. Chocolate croissant was so pretty yet I clearly made the wrong choice. I found the chocolate cloying and waxy, overwhelming the bready pastry. Turned my stomach. Coffee was strong and hot in a French Roast way. As I prefer a lighter, floral flavor I didn't finish that although I'm sure many still like that variety, To improve, staff could either bring some cream, have some outside, or let us have it at the counter. No water brought to us; could have some available outside. On the pastry, I suggest a smaller amount of better quality bittersweet chocolate on a fresh croissant. My husband ordered a large jalapeno scone that tasted like BisQuik mix. Didn't finish. Not sure how to fix that. His breakfast plate was arranged quite lovely-- a scramble with generous amounts of cheese and loaded with caramelized fennel root. He asked for a side of bacon and it was added to the scramble, not a side. The toast was like large, dry croutons sans butter or jam. The salad was fresh and lightly dressed. Would recommend less fennel, correct use of bacon, and butter at least as it seems like old, dry baguette. Second, the presentation of the baked goods seduce your eyes and nose. And I caved and got a banana nut bread with an earl grey latte. For the dish, I wasn't sure what to expect and got Shakshuka. It is very similar to chilli with poached eggs with added Avocado and sausage. It was perfect for a nice warm breakfast, especially with the weather cooling down. Best Benny ever!!! And I've had some delicious and creative Eggs Benedict, but this one tops my favorite list to date. Back in middle December my family meet in Denver for early Christmas. This was our first family celebration in Denver. All previous years it's been Illinois or Texas. With so many great restaurants to choice from in the Cherry Creek area, we opted for Saturday brunch at Olive & Finch. As soon as I read that they had a Caprese Benny, I knew that's what I had to order. It came with potatoes and a salad. The Benny was a toasted English muffin, topped with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, spinach, perfectly poached eggs, along with a hollandaise sauce and balsamic vinegar glaze. The first full bite with everything was amazing. I'm a slow eater, but not with this meal. I ate so fast because it was just that tasty!!! The best bite was when you could taste the melted cheese on the English muffin. It was sooo good. Daughter and I went for a breakfast date around 10am on a Friday. We walked right up to the register to order - no line... but almost every table was taken so we must have missed the rush. I ordered the D.F. Burrito but I weirdly don't like carbs in my carbs (rice or potatoes IN a tortilla)... so I asked for the potatoes on the side instead of inside, which kept them nice and crispy. The burrito was very good; I would order it again. Although I didn't know the sauce came on top of it so I'd probably ask for the sauce on the side next time so I could choose which bites get the sauce dipper & which don't. I also asked for salsa & sour cream on the side; both were fab additions. Black coffee and Beet Cold Press to drink - coffee was great; I prefer the Green Juice over the Beet, I learned. Daughter got the classic breakfast of eggs, bacon, potatoes, fruit, and either donut or English muffin (she chose English muffin because she's like the only kid in the world that hates donuts). I thought it was a bit strange that the English muffin came dry... no butter or jam. So just a tip that you must have to ask for that separately if you order this. I finally got to check out Olive & Finch between dentist appointments. The office receptionist recommended it, and it was a worthwhile visit. Weekday lunch is apparently busy. Luckily I found street parking, especially in this part of Cherry Creek. I was a little overwhelmed by the menus and number of food options when I first walked in, but the staff behind the counter were super sweet and patient with me as I made my decision. I ended up ordering the Broseph breakfast sandwich, which was delicious... mostly because I'm such a sucker for pastrami. Also got a pop tart, but the thick strawberry filling was too sweet for my taste. Overall, they clearly use fresh ingredients at Olive & Finch, and while I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, I'd definitely visit again if I was in the neighborhood. We did encounter quite a bit of a delay while we were there. Parking is hard to find here, and by the time we got through the line to place an order, we were informed they were sold out of some pastries by the time they went to bag them for us.
