Fantastic find near Cherry Creek mall. Close enough to walk there and we easily got a table for 2. We were quickly served - I had a glass of wine and my daughter got the peach lemonade. Both were much needed after a day of shopping. I ordered the corn flatbread and she got the Caesar salad. Nothing too flashy or fancy about either but we liked how unique they both were. Checked this out due to a recommendation. I sat at the bar where Matt was at. Service was great with Matt having good small talk without bring overzealous. His recommendations were awesome and delicious. I got the entire summer menu basically. Watermelon margaritas which actually tasted like watermelon, the tomato and watermelon salad that was surprisingly a little spicy in a great way, I had the tgk chicken sandwich which was delicious with a side of sweet potatoes and while I'm not a desert person I had some ice cream berry crumble desert that wasn't too sweet. Price is a little higher than other bars but the food is tasty and doesn't make you regret after. Recommended. read more

True Food kitchen is a gluten free and dairy free heaven! Everything is labeled with allergens and they offer gluten free substitutes and have vegan cheese. I usually stay away from chains but I've been to one in LA and now this one and both have not disappointed. At this Cherry Creek location, the seasonal market salad with grilled salmon was my order. I have never thought to put dates in a salad but wow how yummy! And the salmon was cooked very well, not too dry and not over seasoned. What I LOVE most about this place is their use of clean ingredients. I avoid farmed salmon like the plague and TF only offers wild salmon and is forthcoming about the origin of their ingredients. This is always one of my favorite restaurants but Bay really put our experience over the top this time! We had a late lunch and were able to get seated right away. We started with the guacamole, then I had the Thai Peanut Noodle Bowl and my husband had the Wild-Caught Tuna Poke Bowl. I added tofu to mine and not only was it excellent, but True Food's tofu actually has flavor - it was so good! My husband really liked his as well. I'm gluten free and there are a ton of options for me and all kinds of other dietary restrictions. The inside is a little loud, but really cute - and they have a covered patio for expanded seating. Cannot love this place more! Excellent service by Lance. He created a wonderful experience for us and checked in frequently. The food was just incredible! We started with the edamame dumplings. Little pillowy wontons filled with an edamame puree, swimming in a flavorful broth with some edamame beans. I could not believe the amount of flavor in every bite. This just left me wanting more! I had the salmon and subbed the rice for the pistachio pesto pasta for an entree. A simple entree with so much to say! The salmon was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside, and moist and flaky in the center. The pesto was zesty and creamy and packed with flavor. My partner had the tenderloin with vegetables and cheesy mash potatoes. I took three bites of my meal and looked up and he was almost done lol. Needless to say it was a hit! The ambiance is a semi casual setting, with high tops and standard tables. The establishment was clean with great lighting and decor. The cocktails were fun, strong and tasty and served at table side from single serve bottle that looked like potion. We will definitely be dining here again. I got a smoky old fashioned, we split a salad (which they split onto two plates without us asking) and got the turkey lasagna bolognese entre, which was a twist on the dish I had never had before. Really truly disappointed with my last visit to True Food We've been a few times and thought it would be a good place to bring some family and friends for dinner. Unfortunately... No. First, the service was awful. Our waitress was grouchy (she aggressively snatched the menu from one of us) and inattentive - I had to ask multiple times for water, and was very thirsty for most of the experience. Unacceptable in this heat, especially since we were sitting outside! The other big bummer was the food. Nothing was considered above "okay", and we ordered quite a bit and a large variety. None of the food came out at the same time either. There were multiple long gaps between deliveries. What's going on in the kitchen?? It wasn't even very busy. The biggest issue though was the pizza - my husband cannot eat onions due to health reasons and our sausage pizza came loaded with onions that were not mentioned on the menu. This is not okay for folx with allergies. I would have asked our waitress to bring us a new one without onions, but she never came to check on us, so I left with a very very unhappy husband. I'm not sure we will be coming back which is a shame since we live so close. read more

I love the concept behind True Food Kitchen. A beautiful open restaurant that serves fresh seasonal ingredients. When you walk in you can see the chefs prepping food and it smells incredible, like fresh herbs. The cocktails were tasty but very expensive and not terribly strong. Here is what we tried for food: Truffle Honey & Squash Flatbread Edamame Dumplings Winter Harvest Salad The star for me was the Edamame Dumpling dish. The taste was out of this world and the flavor of the dashi it was served in was incredible. 10/10! Everything else was good but the dumplings were my favorite. This location has a great ambiance and very thoughtful interior design. The service was fantastic. Our server came and brought us water right away. Since I was on a break, my time was limited and they did great with getting us taken care of. The food came out quickly and was delicious. They have some tasty drinks. I love the hibiscus one best personally. They have a yummy seasonal menu that is ever changing so there's no chance of getting bored with their offerings. I recommend checking them out!
