Fried chicken should come to the table hot and crispy, not wet with the breading sliding off. Salad had wilted, black lettuce and almost no dressing. P.S. you should probably like pistachio and pesto for this healthy bowl. Oh also...I ordered the edamame dumplings which was another to dieeeee for. The saying of "healthy does not taste good and has no flavors" gets stomped on by this bowl of ancient grains and healthy sides. I went there for Thursday night dinner. Making reservations was easy on OpenTable and we got seated right away. Menu has wide selection and everything was appealing. I got Peach Mojito for a cocktail...they definitely don't skimp on the alcohol :) It was tasty but strong. We got the hummus with fresh vegetables and it they gave 3 different hummus with varied levels of spicy. It was very yummy. I got the chicken parmigiana with squash. I thought it was so different in a good way due to the squash combination versus the usual pasta. My friend got the meatloaf. It was a little dry but good with the included au jus sauce. Finally we shared a lemon sorbet which was a little sour as expected but tasted yummy in combination of the blueberry sauce. Prices were good considering the tasty and healthy food. read more

Great place in Cherry Creek for those groups with various diet preferences. We had meat eater, vegetarians and vegans. We all found something delicious on the menu. Was visiting my daughter in Denver, and we were out doing some shopping and stumbled upon this place. Great find, really cool vibe and delicious food. The edamame guacamole was amazing but didn't really care for the chips. I could tell they were freshly made, but seemed stale, and there were 3 of us eating this appetizer, but they only gave us about 7 chips.... The rest of the food was perfection. I had the OG Grassfed burger, and it was like a steak between two buns. The umami mushrooms and caramelized onions brought this burger to another level! My daughter had the pesto pasta and said it was very good. And our other guest had the butternut squash pizza (he is vegan), and not only was the pizza very aesthetically pleasing, but it tasted equally as delicious as it looked. Great service, really cool vibe and was just a great dining experience all the way around. I love when I go to a restaurant in another state and then come home to discover we have the same restaurant pretty close to where I live. Will definitely visit their other locations. read more

I can't believe it's been two years since I've eaten at True Food! It was a go-to restaurant with my ex, and recently I got to form new memories here with my best friend. We walked in and sat at the bar, ordering a plethora of delicious food and drink. Customer service and overall vibes were stellar, just as I remembered. I had a Seasonal Harvest Salad: butternut squash, cauliflower, sweet potato, brussels sprouts, cannellini beans, horseradish vinaigrette, pomegranate seeds, and mulberry. Like WHAT!! So delicious and filling. Got a refreshing True Story cocktail, because who doesn't want a gin cocktail with aloe, cucumber, snap pea, pineapple, and lemon? We finished off our meal with an ice cream sundae. Everything was absolutely perfect. Fantastic spot for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Parking in Cherry Creek can be a challenge, but just pay for a few hours, eat here, then walk around the neighborhood. Note to self: Avoid visiting True Food Kitchen late in the evening as they often run out of popular menu items. I was really looking forward to the Tuna Tataki, so it was a major disappointment to hear they'd run out. Instead, my husband and I each had a cup of the Butternut Squash Soup, split a side Simple Salad, and shared the Wild-Caught Tuna Poke Bowl and the Grilled Grass-Fed Tenderloin. The Tuna Bowl was missing avocado and mushrooms and ended up being overly spicy. The Simple Salad lived up to its name--nothing exciting, just basic. The Butternut Squash Soup was good but not remarkable. The highlight of the meal was definitely the tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly medium rare. The roasted carrots, onion, and squash alongside it were delicious. We had a 7:45 pm reservation, and while there were plenty of open tables, it seemed the restaurant was short-staffed. Our soup and salad plates weren't cleared until after we finished our entrees. Corey, our waiter, was clearly stretched thin, handling multiple tasks like table clearing and water refills on his own. Despite the busyness, he stayed friendly and gave us the best service he could under the circumstances. The tables are very close together, making the restaurant a bit noisy. Maybe next time, we'll visit for lunch instead of dinner. read more

We came here for a girls night out and had a party of 6. Server was more concerned about telling us about drinks than getting our order in a timely fashion. He came by and told us about drinks twice and then disappeared for 15 min. I ordered an $18 spicy pineapple margarita and it was about 8oz and nothing to write home about - not flavorful nor spicy. Very disappointing for that price. We finally get our food and my friend's dish has a human hair sticking out of it. She sent it back. I ordered the Nashville hot sandwich and it was also mediocre. It was a chicken tender sticking out of a bun and was very awkward to eat. The sweet potatoes on the side were soft, almost mushy and over powered by the onion they were cooked with. The butternut squash soup however, was VERY good! All in all, I wouldn't come back again. It was way too pricy for the quality and overall experience. read more

My boyfriend took me here for our valentines dinner date and I couldn't imagine a more romantic place to celebrate. Our server, Mason, was so wonderful, kind and made our dinning experience phenomenal. I love that the menu offers a meaningful selection for all types of dietary preference. I had the ancient grains bowl with tofu and it was incredible. The vegan pesto was perfect and really took the flavor to another level. We also shared the hummus plate and I loved the chunks of fresh vegetables! Last date night for Mom and Dad before our baby girl arrives! Wanted a restaurant with a variety of unique, healthy options and True Food kitchen certainly has that! From edamame dumplings, unique Salads, and an amazingly cooked beef tenderloin all of the food was extremely fresh and cooked well. The restaurant is right in Cherry creek with views directly into the kitchen and outdoor, covered seating. It took a while for our waters to come and be to served at first but food came out relatively quickly once ordered. We were also given the wrong dessert and once we told the waiter she took it back and brought us the correct one quickly. Typically, restaurants give you the wrong dessert on the house, but they took it back which was fine but I hope they didn't serve it to someone else as it had been on our table a couple minutes. read more

The burger bun was dry out too. The fries were a disaster, rock hard from the air fryer! A little quality control goes a long way! I didn't eat hardly any of the meal.
