    Chicken and beef lula plate
    Brit W.

First time trying True Love Kitchen and it's definitely a small, hole-in-the-wall spot but those are usually the best kind. The food did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken and beef lula plate, and it was delicious. The meat was juicy, and cooked just right. The portions were solid, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I also tried the garlic feta fries, but unfortunately those weren't for me. Would of preferred if they were tossed in fresh garlic. Definitely will back to try other dishes.

It's a small local restaurant located near a cemetery, but it is not to be underestimated! The staff was helpful because they did a good job explaining the menu to us. I ordered the falafel plate which came with rice, grilled tomato, grilled jalapeño, five pieces of falafel, pita bread, hummus, and Greek salad (the latter three are not pictured). I love that they shaped the rice into a heart! The food was delicious and I would love to come back and try different dishes.

Went back for a second time and it's still my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the SGV. The meat is well cooked, all the hummus and babaganoush are so flavorful and smooth in texture, and the salad is fresh!

If you're looking for a true hidden gem, True Love Kitchen absolutely delivers. It's the definition of a hole-in-the-wall spot that lets the food do all the talking--and the food speaks loudly. The pita alone sets the tone. It's thicker than your typical wrap, warm and pillowy with a flavor that stands on its own. You could honestly enjoy it plain, but dipping it into their hummus takes it to another level. The hummus is smooth, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor without being overwhelming. The salad brings the perfect contrast--fresh, crunchy, and bright without being overly tangy. It balances out the richer dishes beautifully. The rice deserves its own shoutout too: fluffy, fragrant, and generously garlicky in the best way possible. Every bite is packed with flavor. As for the proteins, the filet mignon is unbelievably tender--truly buttery soft and seasoned just right. The beef lule is just as impressive: juicy, savory, and cooked perfectly. You can tell care goes into every component on the plate. From top to bottom, everything tastes fresh, intentional, and satisfying. Don't let the humble exterior fool you--this place is easily five stars and absolutely worth coming back for.

I'm back! Just wanted to add the current menu as the others are old. But basically got great service again! Switched up some menu items and it's still delicious! Get over here now!!!!

True Love Kitchen has unexpectedly elevated my appreciation and love for Mediterranean cuisine!!!!! Ordered the Chicken Thigh and Chicken Luna Platter. Everything on the plate was delicious. The Chicken, rice, jalapeño, tomato, hummus, salad, and pita were each prepared perfectly and blended well together. The subtle enhancing seasoning was perfect and allowed the freshness of the ingredients to delight my palate. If you review the restaurants I have visited, you will see over 50 Mediterranean locations across the U.S. and Europe. True Love is one of my top 3!!!!! My only wish is that they were more centrally located so that more of you could be blessed by their warm hospitality, amazing food, and humbling reminder that great things come the most understated packages!

Support small local businesses that offer yummy food. Cute spot, friendly staff and a fat 3 meat meal for $30. Everything tasted fresh and delicious would return.

Food alone spoke for itself. The food that was prepared came fresh, I mean it was fresh. Premium quality meats alongside herbs and vegetables. The ambiance was something you don't get these days from larger restaurants. The general manager was not only respectful but caring. You can see not only the effort, but their passion when seating their customers and getting their orders. This place is not only a hole in the wall for great mediterranean food, it is my new go to for lunch and dinner after a long day of hard work. Grabbing a plate from here is definitely the right choice. Come here and grab some food if you don't want to be disappointed. I'm not a paid review, I'm just a local who likes to eat good food.

Hidden gem Mediterranean food in Rosemead. The best Mediterranean food I've ever tasted, especially their protein. Everything is made fresh when you place your order. SO Worth if you're dining in or take-out. I've heard more people order takeout than dine in. However, when I dined in, the staff's kitchen, teamwork is pretty funny while they're cooking and blasting their music. Friendly staff throughout, and if you sign up for their loyalty program, you'll get a discount coupon for your next visit. Filet Mignon Chicken Thigh Combo: Comes with a side salad and pita bread with chickpea hummus. I love their side salad because it's not as sour compared to other restaurants. The pita bread is so soft and the chick pea sauce was smooth and rich. Honestly, the protein was what made the whole dish stand out. Both the filet mignon and chicken thigh were so soft and juicy, it made me question which one was my favorite.

A girlfriend and I were planning to meet for lunch, but the Mediterranean restaurant we've been to before is closed on weekends. I looked on yelp and found this amazing little restaurant, and I'm so glad! The owner took our order and explained the menu. We both ordered the Chicken Thigh entrée. He brought out hummus, pita bread, and their house salad while our meals were being prepared. OMG!! Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS!! The pita bread was warm, soft, and fresh. The hummus is probably the best I've ever had. The salad was fabulous. Our meals were beautifully presented, with the rice in a heart shape. The portion was so large. I have tons of leftovers! We both loved everything and plan to meet there again soon. If you are in the area and craving Mediterranean food, make sure to stop in and check out this amazing restaurant!

Beef fillet and chicken thigh barbecue

Definition of a hidden gem. I traveled 40 minutes to try this wonderful little restaurant and it was definitely well worth it. Super friendly staff, amazing food, and very clean dining area. They do have a bathroom since one post mentioned they weren't sure. The filet kabob and the chicken thigh were so delicious and tender. Can't forget that magical garlic sauce!

Three item combo (lamb chops, salmon, shrimp)

Amazing and delicious food! We have dined-in twice. The service is great - from taking your order to serving fresh salad, pita, and the best hummus in LA! All the meat and seafood items were juicy and flavorful. We really appreciate the extensive meat/seafood options (chicken, lamb, pork, salmon, shrimp), as no other middle eastern/mediterranean restaurant offers such a selection. We will be coming back

Everything was delicious, fresh and made to order.

You would think the food would be piping hot since it's made fresh and required such a long wait...but no... Everything was lukewarm and the bread was cold. The salad consisted of lettuce and some marinated tomatoes that tasted sour. The hummus was very bland and the bread was thin, but soft. The Luhle (ground beef) was savory, but wasn't very juicy at all. The RICE, however, was very delicious. It was well seasoned and you can taste the different spices used to flavor it. Very earthy notes. Overall, very underwhelming experience. Mediocre and not worth the price or wait. Would probably not go back again. After looking up a few nearby spots, this Mediterranean restaurant caught my eye, and I'm really glad I decided to stop in. There was one customer dining inside and several to-go orders waiting, which is usually a good sign. The dining area is fairly small, with mostly two-seat tables. If you're coming with a larger group, you'll probably need to push a few tables together. It feels better suited for couples, solo diners, or anyone looking for a quick lunch rather than a long sit-down meal. Judging by the steady flow of takeout orders, it also seems to have a strong to-go business. The young woman who took my order was pleasant, though not especially chatty. She quickly got back to helping prepare orders, and you could tell everyone was focused on keeping things moving. The food wasn't rushed, but honestly, I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes when it's being made fresh. Once my plate came out, I was impressed with the portion size. I ordered the chicken kabob plate with a Perrier, and my total came to about $20. Considering I had spent $25 earlier that morning on a breakfast that, in my opinion, wasn't nearly as satisfying, this lunch felt like a much better value. These days, quality food isn't cheap, but I'm happy to pay for a meal that's fresh, flavorful, and filling. The chicken was well-seasoned and juicy, and the plate came with a generous serving of rice, fresh salad, and creamy hummus. Not to mention good homeade style pita bread. Before I even finished eating, I called my mom to tell her I had found a new kabob spot that I think she'd really enjoy. That's usually the best compliment I can give a restaurant. If you're in the area and craving a solid Mediterranean meal with generous portions, fresh ingredients, and fair prices, this place is definitely worth stopping by. I'll certainly be back to work my way through more of the menu.

Came here on a weekday dinner and dined in. Heads up for summer, there's no AC, just a fan, so it gets pretty warm inside. The only difference between dine-in and takeout is they put your food on a tray, but it's still on a disposable plate. Just so you know. Like other reviews mention, expect a long wait. Most people were picking up to-go orders, and dine-in definitely doesn't get priority. I still waited 20 minutes for my food. I'd recommend calling ahead and ordering "for here" not sure if it actually helps, but probably better than waiting 40 minutes. Only one restroom, so be prepared to wait. I ended up using the one at Awesome Wings next door because the line was ridiculous just to wash my hands. Now for the good: the food itself is solid. Generous portions, flavorful, though some pieces had burnt spots. I wouldn't say it's better than or even equal to Zankou, but considering there's not much Mediterranean competition in the area, it fills a gap. If you live nearby, it's a good spot to add to your takeout rotation for a change of pace. ***Pro tip: They just got added to InKind (25% cashback app), so here's $25 off your next $50 meal if you want to try it out https://app.inkind.com/refer/EUDQIJDO

So apparently this isn't one of the ones from the chain which I don't understand because it's still same menu Pretty much everything we wanted was 30 mins. The only thing was the Rotisserie chicken so we got half. I asked for tabouleh and he said there is no tabouleh and we're out. Mind you that was 5 pm. It wasn't even late. Then after I ordered, I went back to order more for my sister and I saw tabouleh on display which was there initially but I didn't pay attention. So when I was paying I asked the guy and he said oh I didn't know. Back told me we don't have any. Anyways it didn't taste good and the parsley was not cut properly. My husband and I shared the chicken and a plate Order of falafel. That took 30 mins because of falafel. Really though frying falafel shouldn't take that long! My sister loves their chicken and she didn't even eat it. Forgot to mention when I went to get the chicken, they didn't have anymore then he said this the last one. I'm just confused on how there is nothing left when they have another 4-5 hours! I got an extra tabouleh which she didn't eat either Management need to be better and food shouldn't be taking 30+ mins! This is a fast food place
