If you're looking for a true hidden gem, True Love Kitchen absolutely delivers. It's the definition of a hole-in-the-wall spot that lets the food do all the talking--and the food speaks loudly. The pita alone sets the tone. It's thicker than your typical wrap, warm and pillowy with a flavor that stands on its own. You could honestly enjoy it plain, but dipping it into their hummus takes it to another level. The hummus is smooth, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor without being overwhelming. The salad brings the perfect contrast--fresh, crunchy, and bright without being overly tangy. It balances out the richer dishes beautifully. The rice deserves its own shoutout too: fluffy, fragrant, and generously garlicky in the best way possible. Every bite is packed with flavor. As for the proteins, the filet mignon is unbelievably tender--truly buttery soft and seasoned just right. The beef lule is just as impressive: juicy, savory, and cooked perfectly. You can tell care goes into every component on the plate. From top to bottom, everything tastes fresh, intentional, and satisfying. Don't let the humble exterior fool you--this place is easily five stars and absolutely worth coming back for.

It's a small local restaurant located near a cemetery, but it is not to be underestimated! The staff was helpful because they did a good job explaining the menu to us. I ordered the falafel plate which came with rice, grilled tomato, grilled jalapeño, five pieces of falafel, pita bread, hummus, and Greek salad (the latter three are not pictured). I love that they shaped the rice into a heart! The food was delicious and I would love to come back and try different dishes.

Went back for a second time and it's still my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the SGV. The meat is well cooked, all the hummus and babaganoush are so flavorful and smooth in texture, and the salad is fresh!

First time trying True Love Kitchen and it's definitely a small, hole-in-the-wall spot but those are usually the best kind. The food did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken and beef lula plate, and it was delicious. The meat was juicy, and cooked just right. The portions were solid, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I also tried the garlic feta fries, but unfortunately those weren't for me. Would of preferred if they were tossed in fresh garlic. Definitely will back to try other dishes.

I ordered this lunch platter for my work, and everyone loved it! The chicken thigh was very juicy, and kebabs tasted amazing. This was more than enough food for the office. My staff loved it! The customer service provided was exceptional! Emil went above and beyond to make sure my order was on point. BTW their hummus tasted AMAZING!

We started coming here a few months ago and quickly became regulars because we genuinely loved the food. We used to stop by for late dinners during the week, and every meal was consistently excellent. Unfortunately, the last couple of visits have been disappointing. We recently started ordering during the day, expecting the same quality we've always had, but it hasn't been the same. On our last visit, the pork belly was overcooked, but we figured everyone has an off day and decided to give it another chance. Today, the wraps were a letdown. The pita was so dry and brittle that it cracked and fell apart with almost every bite, making it difficult to eat. The overall quality just wasn't what we've come to expect. We're not sure if something has changed or if the daytime kitchen prepares things differently than the evening staff, but the difference has been noticeable. It's honestly a bummer because this was one of our favorite spots, and we'd love to see it return to the quality that made us regulars in the first place.

True Love Kitchen has unexpectedly elevated my appreciation and love for Mediterranean cuisine!!!!! Ordered the Chicken Thigh and Chicken Luna Platter. Everything on the plate was delicious. The Chicken, rice, jalapeño, tomato, hummus, salad, and pita were each prepared perfectly and blended well together. The subtle enhancing seasoning was perfect and allowed the freshness of the ingredients to delight my palate. If you review the restaurants I have visited, you will see over 50 Mediterranean locations across the U.S. and Europe. True Love is one of my top 3!!!!! Hidden gem Mediterranean food in Rosemead.The best Mediterranean food I've ever tasted, especially their protein. Everything is made fresh when you place your order. SO Worth if you're dining in or take-out. I've heard more people order takeout than dine in. However, when I dined in, the staff's kitchen, teamwork is pretty funny while they're cooking and blasting their music. Friendly staff throughout, and if you sign up for their loyalty program, you'll get a discount coupon for your next visit. Filet Mignon Chicken Thigh Combo: Comes with a side salad and pita bread with chickpea hummus. I love their side salad because it's not as sour compared to other restaurants. The pita bread is so soft and the chick pea sauce was smooth and rich. Honestly, the protein was what made the whole dish stand out. Both the filet mignon and chicken thigh were so soft and juicy, it made me question which one was my favorite.

I looked on yelp and found this amazing little restaurant, and I'm so glad! The owner took our order and explained the menu. We both ordered the Chicken Thigh entrée. He brought out hummus, pita bread, and their house salad while our meals were being prepared. OMG!! Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS!! The pita bread was warm, soft, and fresh. The hummus is probably the best I've ever had. The salad was fabulous. Our meals were beautifully presented, with the rice in a heart shape. The portion was so large. I have tons of leftovers! Food alone spoke for itself. The food that was prepared came fresh, I mean it was fresh. Premium quality meats alongside herbs and vegetables. The ambiance was something you don't get these days from larger restaurants. The general manager was not only respectful but caring. You can see not only the effort, but their passion when seating their customers and getting their orders. Craving mediterranean food so checked out this small business! We got the lule chicken + lule beef combo as well as the filet mignon. GET THE LULE!!!! Super good, juicy, and tender 9/10. The filet was just alright, kinda dry 7/10. Hummus was great as well as the huge pita bread. It did take a bit long for the food to get prepared, but I'm assuming they were making it fresh. Interior was super small, barely any seating, so we just did takeout. read more

Small place, BIG flavor! The service is prompt and professional. The Dolma with garlic sauce is the best ive ever had. The meats I tried were all tender, juicy, and most of all packed with flavor! Filet mignon, shrimp, lamb, chicken, pork belly all check the boxes. Also had the grilled potatoes as an appetizer and i immediately want the recipe. The pita is warm as it should be, and the hummus has a nutty overtone that was a pleasant surprise. Couldn't recommend this little diamond in the rough enough. read more

Svc - new business and still in first week of opening so give them a break. Also, see pic, skewer was cooked fresh over fire! We finally found a very good Mediterranean spot in Monterey Park! This family owned place is truly a hidden gem! The plate comes with a side Mediterranean salad with cheese and your choice of dip. The service was good and the place is clean. I regret not taking photos of my order, because a photo is worth a thousand words. But this place is a hidden gem, great rice and the kabobs were seasoned perfectly. Hummus was smooth and delicious. When things aren't quite right, True Love does the right thing, and without asking, they refunded my last order. While the quality of the kabobs has been consistent, that hasn't always been true of the sides. Last time, that wonderful tabbouhel I raved about, while still good...it was a skimpy portion considering it was a la carte, just a few spoonfuls with hearts of lettuce on the bottom; it was chunky and probably not made by the name person who had those mad knife skillz. And the baba ganoush was creamy, had no discernible eggplant flavor and was salty. (Although, saltiness is subjective, but it was so salty we had to throw it away.) The owner took these notes to heart and cares about his customers. He gave me a refund and I'm sure True Love will work on consistency of the a la carte portions and on the quality of the other a la carte items. I still love the combos...especially the lule and the chicken thighs, their olive forward/feta salad....I also liked the lavash that came with the a la carte chicken kabob. I'm giving the tabouleh a second change, maybe this week!! I like to think I'm one of their favorite customers!!! read more

I have tried coming here twice and both times they were closed during their regular operating hours. I highly suggest updating your social media pages (Facebook and/or Instagram) if you plan to be closed due to an emergency or a holiday. One of the best lule kebabs I've ever had! It was incredibly juicy--something that's surprisingly hard to find. The staff (possibly the owners) were exceptionally friendly and made my family and me feel genuinely welcome. Despite being very busy, they took the time to apologize for the slightly longer wait, which I thought was totally reasonable for freshly prepared food. They even offered samples of their homemade baklava and Armenian coffee--both clearly made with care and love. A truly warm and delicious experience! I highly recommend this spot. Its tucked in an old plaza in a area that isn't as well traveled so you wouldn't know about it unless you really looked for it. Take a chance and try it. You wont be disappointed. read more

First time I came a couple weeks ago. We received the wrong order and missing our baklava. I called next day to let them know and they said to come back and they would take care of us. Even though we received the wrong meat order it was still good. The fries we ordered were a bit salty so that is my only complaint. 2 weeks later to pick up food, as promised they took care of us. Chicken and filet is very tender. Hummus is bomb. Love their Greek salad. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

Very happy that there is now delicious Mediterranean food so much closer to us. Like under 3 minutes close. So far, we have tried the lule, filet mignon, pork belly - all are delicious. Overall it was not great. Rice was blend and had no flavor and had a weird texture. The worst part was the chicken, it was undercooked and pink from the inside . Made all my co workers sick ! I must admit though the reason im not giving less stars is because i ordered the filet mignon and that was really good. It was quite lively. I ordered a gyro plate and it came around 15 minutes after. They give you a little buzzer so you don't have to stand and wait. Personally, the gyro is too salty for me. Add in the pickles, even saltier. The creamy sauce is pretty heavy too. The thicker bread was very tasty. The hummus was delicious too. The pita was a little tough. It was almost enough food for two because of how dense and heavy everything was. We found street parking. It was a little extra busy today because of the farmers market so it took us a good amount of time to find a spot.

Stopped by True Love after passing it a few times, and I'm glad I finally gave it a shot. This spot serves up Middle Eastern cuisine, and they clearly know what they're doing when it comes to flavor. For our order, we went with the filet mignon wrap, chicken skewer (breast), and the chicken lula wrap -- and honestly, everything was on point. The seasoning, the tenderness, the overall flavor -- dialed in across the board. The filet mignon wrap was flavorful and satisfying, the chicken breast skewer came out juicy (not dry, which is key), and the chicken lula wrap had that perfect smoky, spiced balance. And I've got to say -- even the fries were off the charts. Crispy, well-seasoned, and definitely not an afterthought. Portion-wise, they were solid. You're getting a good amount of food. But if I'm being real -- selfishly, I wish there was just a little more, because it was that good. What really stood out beyond the food was the hospitality. Most tortas are $19.83 and it includes a side. Love that they are on Doordash now and they offer online pickup! Got the Carne Asada Torta and the side - Apples and Cream. The torta was slightly burnt and darker than I expected. The carne asada didn't really seem like carne asada quality but more similar to ground beef quality. My favorite was probably the avocado because it was so fresh! The Apples and Cream was nothing special since it was just apples with cream. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with the torta and it seemed overpriced so I most likely won't return or recommend unfortunately.

Today I found out Gloria usually works M-F so it's rare when you get to eat her food on weekends! I can tell by taste of the food when she's not cooking. If you haven't had a good cajun shrimp taco, just call the restaurant ahead of time and confirm if Gloria is cooking. If she is, I'll guarantee you'll have one of the best Cajun shrimp tacos!!!
