Come to find out, there are actually two Mr. Foamy's locations fairly close to each other that have the same owner. I accidentally wrote my previous review for the Mr. Foamy's at the Shell gas station, but that's okay because that one is great too! I especially wanted to make sure I reviewed the Express location at the ARCO, though, because as others have mentioned, Mahir is top-notch at maintaining an awesome car wash. The prices are good, and saving $.20 per gallon at ARCO is a great incentive. Mahir goes the extra mile. He sprays down the car before it goes through the wash, keeps everything well maintained, and pays attention to details that really make a difference. And I have to give special recognition to something you might not normally get excited about at a car wash--the vacuums! Why would vacuums deserve special mention in a car wash review? Beach sand! Anyone who has tried getting beach sand out of carpet and upholstery knows how challenging it can be. We recently went to the beach, and Mahir takes pride in keeping the vacuum filters clean--and you can absolutely tell by the strength of the suction. The vacuum did an outstanding job. You can't even tell we ever went to the beach! Even something as simple as having plenty of clean towels available gets his attention. When I was there, the supply of clean towels was nearly overflowing. And how often does someone at a car wash actually remember you? Mahir has gotten to know me, always has an awesome attitude, and is genuinely upbeat when I come in. Like I said, both Mr. Foamy's car washes are great--the one at the Shell and the Express location at the ARCO gas station--but the Express location really lives up to its name as a great and efficient way to get my car clean, inside and out. Once you try those vacuums, you'll understand why I've now mentioned them in two reviews! I like to get my car fully washed inside and out, grab Lourdes while I'm waiting to eat in their seating area (they have indoor and outdoor seating), then fill up my gas and get a little cash back on the gas. I got home and could wipe dirt off with my hand on the SUV, so I find it hard to believe anything but a quick drive through wash was done. Also made an appt via yelp and the people on-site were confused and annoyed. "On-site" is relative as it's a tent at a gas station. I'd recommend going literally anywhere else for services. Edit - per the owners "scam alert" about not sending photos, see attached. They were sent in real time. I had to follow up for days for a supposed resolution, and the only recourse after was attempting to resolve with my credit card company. To clarify, I never said I didn't receive some services. We were simply trying to understand our options, and there was absolutely no reason for him to speak to her the way he did. I remember when Talk of the Town was a place where you could go and feel like you were getting good service and being treated like a valued customer. Unfortunately, that was not my experience today. The customer service has clearly gone downhill. If there are specific policies regarding Teslas or hand washing, that's completely understandable. But there is a respectful way to communicate those policies to customers. Being rude, dismissive, and constantly pushing an upsell is not acceptable. Today was a very disappointing experience, especially because of how disrespectfully my wife was treated. I hope management takes this seriously because the employees at the entrance are the first impression customers get of the business. Based on today's experience, we will not be coming back.
