I called True Move because of a referral I received and I was not disappointed. It was a last minute move that ended up having a lot of moving parts even up until the day of. From the beginning, Jason was an excellent communicator. He was able to accommodate all of my requests including moving an extremely heavy 1500lb safe, as well as having to last minute store our stuff overnight. Him and his crew all showed up on time, were very well mannered, and moved everything with ease. My husband and I were both extremely impressed. It was also one of the lower quotes that we received. I used True Move today for my move from one house to another within the city. Communication was excellent before the move and day off in terms of ETA for arrival. I moved a 1500 Sq foot house to a smaller house and also utilized reusable Green Bins and the entire move took 3.5 hours. All 3 men were very careful with everything and wrapped all furniture and anything fragile. The cost was great for the care taken and the attention to detail. We used Student Helping Hands in 2018 to move some furniture and boxes from an apartment to a home. I will say that the price beat all local competitors. The owner was great but the helpers lacked some work ethic and professionalism in how they spoke around me. Despite the price and speed of the move, which were good, I had the back of a dining chair broken off and the wheel of a suitcase so damaged that it was unusable. They didn't wrap the mattress so it got a little dirty from the movers handling it or from their truck. A few other light scratches on furniture as well, no idea if they were wrapped at all during transit. For the price I might consider using them again but also might consider other options if it means nothing damaged or not having to pay in cash. read more

He would respond and tell me that he would call but never did. I cancelled the job and found someone else. We didn't feel confident that they would even show up. We were promised and reassured by the owner there would availability to move us despite it being a "day off". Five days before the move, we received a voicemail canceling. Needless to say we were left in a terrible position trying to find new movers at the last minute. The days leading up to this the communication was lacking, both through email and text message. Summary: Hire them. Owner goes above and beyond (!), clean cut, and very professional- I HIGHLY recommend (and I've used a lot of movers/packers). Especially if a female needing movers who are handy/can trust in your home!!! I move a lot (old military). So I'm very use to how dinged up things get when you go from location to location- especially IKEA furniture that usually doesn't even make it unless you can move it whole. I had put off moving a brand new IKEA bed, even though it only needed to be moved to a house a mile down the road - so when I asked them how quickly they could get to me, being located in Scottsdale, they offered to do it at the end of their next day... they even picked it up for me and just met me at my new house. When they arrived with the bed in pieces (apparently it needed to be taken apart to get out of the house) - I felt terrible! They didn't complain once - moved the pieces - AND put the bed back together for me - AND didn't break or ding one piece of it! This was a huge relief considering part of the reason I didn't just buy a new one was because I didn't want to put it back together - they literally did it in just a few minutes (would have taken me forever). Anyway, they hadn't quoted me much and so I paid them double just because I know it was WAY more work than they I told them it would be and they got me in so quickly. I just wish I had hired them for our original move instead of the Two Guys and and a Truck who "packed us" aka threw everything in boxes broke/dinged almost everything they moved! read more

Used Student Helping Hands again today. Our remodel job was complete and it was time to move our items out of the portable storage unit on our driveway and back into our house. Today, I had the opportunity to meet Jason. He and his crew were again, AH-MAZING! Jason was very communicative via text message to let me know ahead of time that they were running behind and updated me when they were on their way. It's not everyday that you have such great communication from a service related company. Within an hour of arrival, everything was moved back into the house. Jason even reconnected my washer and dryer which are not in the most optimum location but in very close quarters where you have to be an acrobat to connect the dryer vent. BEST MOVERS EVER!!! Jason and his crew make the most difficult moving jobs possible! I hired them to move from a 3rd Floor apartment to another 3rd floor apartment and NEITHER buildings had an elevator. On top of that, I had a very heavy sofa sleeper that needed to somehow fit through the narrow stairwells with tight corners. I was completely blown away by how fast they worked! All my items (except the troublesome couch) were moved into my new apartment in just 2 hours! Jason told us he had another job to go to and would need to disassemble the couch and reassemble it later. He asked if they could deliver the couch the next day which was absolutely no problem with me. When they returned for the delivery, they brought it in one piece and even gave us a little discount for the service due to some very minor scratch on the couch that were barely noticeable to me.
