First of all I'm completely at a loss for words,My baby boy Gizmo was admitted on the 29th of June 3,500 for 24 hours. On Sunday June 30th i received a call in the morning saying he needed to have a huge surgury if i even wanted him to have a chance. They told me they would email an estimate, The estimate came through for 1,700 for another 24 hours of hospitalization or 10,000 for the surgury. After meeting with the Dr on Sunday evening we decided to move forward with the surgury.So on Monday morning July 1st the surgeon called me and said he would be doing my babies surgury around 12:00 that afternoon.They started his surgury around 2:15 and finished around 3:00 . The Dr called me and said he did really good but he needed a blood tranfusion due to blood loss. About an hour later they told me he was doing much better getting stronger. Spoke with his Dr around 6:00 she told me he was doing good. That evening i spoke to Gizmos nurse his name was David extremely rude, He should not be dealing with sick animals and their parents i was extremely worried about my baby boy and he made me feel worse. I called at 7:00 A.M for an update and was told they were to busy to give me an update an someone would call me back. I waited 2 hours for the call back. His Dr told me he was doing well but could use another transfusion That day well i was at work they sent me another estimate for 2 to 3 days more in the hospital wth his surgeom had already told me he needed 3 to 4 days in the hospital after surgury everything was included with the $10,000 the new estimate was for another $ 7,000 they said they couldn't mive forward with his care wuthout the money it hadn't even been 24 hours since his surgury and he was in icu, and i couldn't bring him home he was to sick.The dr called me that evening and said Gizmo was doing really well and said we could visit on Wed July 3rd we went to see our baby around 12:00 P.M and stayed with him until 1:30. That evening around 6:00 i spoke with his Dr she said he was doing excellent and he could go home im 24 to 48 hours since this was the 4th of July she decided to keep him until friday because he was extremely scared of fireworks. I checked in at 3:00 A.M he was doing well . I was going to visit him that mornimg around 12:00 . I called at 10:03 for an update and a Dr answered and said I'm sorry we took Gizmo out to use the bathroom and he went into cardiac arrest and they were doing CPR i was completely in shock . I called my daughter to come and get me they called me back at 10:09 and said they got a heartbeat back but to hurry and get there.My daughter and i got there at 10:35 they took us in a room about 3 mins later they brought me my baby in a doggie bed with his tounge hanging out the side of his mouth HE WAS DEAD no warning or anything thanks i get to live with that for the rest of my life he"s my baby After being with him for 2 hours they took him from me. I chose to get his ashes and pawprint . They told me the place would pick him up and he would be safe with them.They said when he got picked up i would get a phone call , 3 days later i hadn't heard anything so i called them on Sunday 3 times it took them over an hour to tell me where he was.They said they were trying to locate him and had to go through the freezer in the back just what i wanted to hear They put this guy David on the phone with me SO RUDE I'm sure it was the same guy that was rude to me that was taking care of Gizmo and he told me i can't just assume that they had lost my dog, what did they want me to thinkl absolutely disgusting. If you love your babies stay away they are money hungry and they play on your sadness and love for our babies. NEVER AGAIN read more

I'm writing this review because this place was such a bright spot in what was otherwise a terribly painful and traumatic moment in my life. That may sound dramatic, but its true. My beautiful dog Midnite who has been with me for 12 years passed away this morning and I had no idea what to do. I'd never experienced this before, so I did a Google search and True Care came up. They were the first place I called and the only place I called because the kindest lady by the name of Dani helped me. Through the entire process from beginning to end, she was amazing. She was comforting and patient with me in one of the most difficult moments of my life and it made me so glad that I found their business. I hope to never have to call them again, but god forbid I do, I hope Dani answers the phone. read more

Our standard poodle has been getting chemotherapy for 5 months now and our oncologist has just left TrueCare. It is hard enough getting an appointment every week or 2 weeks but we missed a week being out of town and wanted to take Lewi for his chemo treatment the first day back as time between treatments is critical. We scheduled the first day back, taking probably 4 phone calls to do so, had an email confirmation, took Lewi, waited several hours and were told they would not have time that day, to call back and make another appointment...apparently they are treating all of the oncologist's clients poorly if they mention they will move to wherever he is establishing his new office for continuing clients like ourselves and our dog. I must say that they acted petty and totally unprofessionally.... read more

Would love to find an animal hospital that cares more about the pet than about how much money they can take from you. I think this is an LA thing, where business trumps care. These hospitals know people will do anything for their pets so they extort whatever money they can out of you. The assistant doctor, or whatever his title is, Joshua, was cold and rude. I don't get it. Like, if you work in customer service, don't be a dick. Or just don't work in customer service. It's really that simple. All it does is set a bad tone for you and makes your business look bad. I work in customer service. I'm a bartender. If I ever gave someone bad attitude, do you think that person would think highly of me or the place I work in? Maybe if doctors lived on tips they'd have a totally different demeanor... However, the receptionists were all great. Shout out to Cory for his care and understanding. He's the reason I'm giving this place three stars and not 2 or 1. With regards to treatment, of course they just wanted to give my dog more and more things so they could bring up the cost to me. To give the history of what happened, my dog tried to jump on the arm rest of my couch, he missed and landed on his back. The screams still haunt me. Anyways, I took him to True Care to get help, perhaps x-rays and whatever else. They claimed it was not possible to check him out without giving him a pain med, so naturally, I said ok and of course will pay whatever the cost ($84) to get him checked out. Then they said they can do x-rays to make sure he doesn't have any broken bones and they sent me an estimate. I knew I was going to be paying a lot so I prepared myself. They provided me an estimate with a low-end cost and a high-end cost (which is actually nice, and so I give them points for giving me the two ends of what I'd pay, almost $900 on the high and almost $800 on the low) and the difference between the two was a $90 sedative. I requested they not give that to my elderly dog with a heart murmur because I was worried about complications. They said ok and that the results would take 2 to 3 hours after taking the x-rays, and once I've signed and sent the payment, they'd proceed right away. Anyways, an hour later I get a call from the doctor saying they can't do the x-rays without giving him the sedative. Why did they wait an hour before calling me to tell me that?? I was told they'd begin the procedure as soon as they received the payment, which was right when I got the forms to sign. So now I think of them as liars as well as poor quality customer service and extortionists. To those of you who've read this far, to close out the review here, I ended up canceling the procedure, requesting they prescribe my dog Gabapentin (a pain killer, which my dog has been prescribed a few times in the past so I know it works and is something he's used to [$40]) just so he could get through the night with some ease, and first thing the next morning I took him to my vet. My vet not only took him right away and performed x-rays, they kept me informed throughout the entire process, they even were so kind and didn't charge me at all for the x-rays (they instead charged me for a Bromine test. Slightly more expensive than the x-rays, but it provided more information and I only had to pay for the one procedure and not both). The cost to me was less than $700 for the whole procedure, INCLUDING the medication they sent me home with (Meloxycam). Why couldn't True Care have done this? Because True Care truly doesn't care :( read more

I made a call to TrueCare for pets inquiring about their euthanasia process. I must have accidentally called the Oncology department and asked if that was the right line to call or if I needed to be transferred over to the ER line? I was mainly looking for advice from any professional to help advise me on the best route to take for my cat that has severe salvitory gland cancer and is needing to be put down. I explained that most vets I called have these strange new Covid rules that don't allow you to take your animal into a private room for assessment & euthanasia even if you have proof of vaccination, a negative Covid test and are wearing a mask. If you are person like me, that needs to be with your pet when they pass on, then going to these other facilities was just not an option. A friend of mine recently had to put her dog down and came to True Care and said that they were the best and allowed her to come back and be with her dog in a private room while he was euthanized. My normal vet won't allow me to go inside for the euthanasia so I wanted to try to come to True Care after hearing they were so accommodating and understanding. The man I spoke to in the Oncology department said you can't come inside, you have to wait in the parking lot for a while for a vet to come pick up your pet and take them in to be assessed. I explained my cat was extremely temperamental and won't allow anyone to handle her or hold her but me. I said I'm pretty sure they are going to assess that the time has come to euthanize her since she is very sick and in severe pain. She's also very stressed and I want to keep her comfortable and not stress her anymore. Since she won't cooperate if you take her, is it ok if I were to carry her into the private room to be euthanized. I explained I was referred by a friend that just did this same process at their location. The man proceeded to tell me that they don't do that and you have to hand over you pet in the parking lot and those are the rules they have set. I said, Really?, how was my friend able to bring her dog to the private room when she put her dog down? He said no, they don't do that there. I said oh ok, I completely understand and thanked him kindly for his time but told him I needed to call another facility to see if I could find one that could help me do that. In the most vicious, heartless, insincere, snarky tone this man said "Good luck finding one". As polite as I was trying to be on top of how extremely devastated and emotional I am over losing my best friend of 17 years, this man was so appallingly rude to me. I could not believe how rude he was to someone going through the grief of losing a pet. It broke my heart that this place chooses to hire such heartless employees that can't have decent customer service for people just looking for the best way to help put their pet out of their pain and misery. It showed me that this employee not only did not care about the well being of my pet but took the extra step to ruin my day even more which is just not the type of people I want to associate with or have handle my animals! It's such a shame because my friend had such a wonderful experience here and I heard great things and had so much hope for this place, but the way this employee handled this matter was so polarizing that I could never take my cat to a place with employees that speak like that. Most places I called explained those same rules and told me "we're sorry we could not be more accommodating ma'am. It is frustrating that the new Covid protocol makes it difficult for us to help our customers the same way as before". They all explained they had the same rules, those places were just way more professional at handling the customer service aspect. For anyone that is seeking euthanasia for their pet that is looking for a place where you can come be with them while they pass on, I suggest that you use an in home euthanasia service. I called one immediately after that extremely rude man told me "Good luck finding one", well I did. I found a lovely kind-hearted and truly caring service that was accommodating, polite and sincere and was she the most pleasant to speak with about this process. We scheduled my cats euthanasia in the comfort of her own home and I got to hold her the entire time and she was in peace. I'm grateful that I found the place that had employees with great customer service who actually cared. Unfortunately, True Care was not capable of offering me the same experience or customer service. read more

Pet owners--don't let those one star reviews deter you. This is an emergency pet hospital, not your average vet, so you should already be prepared to pay for an emergency visit. We were there on an extremely busy day and you could tell everyone was doing their best, especially considering the volume. What comes with the territory of emergency services is oftentimes there's not enough time for them to get to know your animal. With us, they tried to make the best assessment in the time that they had, and offered the most comprehensive treatment possible. It didn't necessarily mean that I had to take it though. You should be prepared to ask questions, and they will give you time to think about it. I weighed out my options and decided not to go through with every single test or keep my dog there overnight, and they respected my decision as the owner. Dr. White was detailed in her explaination of the test results and her recommendations. That's what actually prompted me to write this review. She seemed like she genuinely wanted to make sure that I had all the data. I wouldn't hesitate to go there again, if we found ourselves in an emergency situation. read more

My sweet baby girl needed soft palette, nares and spay surgeries. It was the first time we have ever gone to TrueCare as recommended by our vet. I was hysterical to drop her off and leave our sweet baby girl there with people we had not even met. [covid] Dr. Soto was AMAZING, she was truly everything a vet should be. Kind, caring and patient . She explained the procedures and protocol to us over the phone. I was still a mess though leaving my girl there. That first night I swear I drove them crazy , David was kind enough to take a picture of my Violet and send it my way via text. This put me at ease. The next morning Dr. Soto called and let me know what time the surgery was, how Violet was doing, and when to expect a call to let me know how she did. I spoke with Ariana the Dr's assistant who was soooo patient with me and all my questions and nerves, she as well sent me a heart warming picture of my Violet with Dr. Soto. Even Avery was amazing, actually everyone we spoke with [at least 5 times a day] was soo wonderful. The name of this Hospital is really PAWFECT since they truly do care!! read more

Dr. Quarterman (radiation oncologist) at TrueCare said that radiation therapy would shrink the tumor and save the leg. She saved our baby's life and leg! We were transferred here by Animal Urgent Care in Burbank and they ensured us that they WERE NOT at capacity and could perform a much needed abdominal ultrasound for my cat. After making me wait for almost 2 hours they call me to tell me that "unfortunately we are now at capacity". I had another appointment made at another location and could have taken him there and now that is wasted. Thank you staff for being so understanding and helpful to me personally and giving my dogs the excellent care they needed. Dr Cavanaugh and staff, dog #1 "Poodle" needed you to take out of all things part of an SOS Pad she apparently though was tasty enough to eat. She is doing fantastic and all eyes are on her at all times from now on. Dog # 2 "Scamp" Dr Chaplow, thank you for having time in your very busy schedule to see Scamp on such short notice. Dr Soto and staff for doing the exploratory surgery and biopsies he needed. Fingers crossed the biopsies come back normal. I know we are all stressed during this time with Covid 19, starting up again the crazy election and every emotion exposed because of the uncertainty. Our dog vomited blood at 3am and they admitted her quickly. They communicated with us via text and calls. The vets were all very patient, helpful and caring. I really appreciated their patience in answering my questions and the care they seemed to give. My dog did have diarrhea and had to have her hind quarters shaved due to the diarrhea & this resulted in bad butt rashes and nicks/cuts from being shaved. This is sooooo minor compared to the fact my dog is now on the mend. Maybe they can give some training on dog grooming so they don't end up with nicks/cuts that make them so uncomfortable after a brutal few days. To be clear I'd come here again for the vet care given a scary situation. Great vets, great communication, maybe some minor improvements in tech vet care. Also please please PLEASE get pet insurance. 100000% worth it. read more

While I am usually extremely understanding, this visit was the last straw. They were dismissive, uncommunicative, acted like I was inconveniencing them just by being there and giving them information, the doctor over the phone sounded like she could care less and had such an I don't know what you want me to do attitude, kept reminding me how uncooperative my cat was being (never had a problem anywhere else...funny how that works), and left my cat sitting god knows where for hours before even working on her (I am sure I will get a canned response to this of they do their very best etc. But honestly multiple reviews with the same issues don't lie...). My cat came away traumatized and way worse then before she went in. She came out in an unnecessary cone "because she swatted at them" and with a rag or towel tied around her neck? They are so lucky I kept my cool. What sloppy unprofessionalism. I finally got to my regular vet the next morning and they took the necessary action - with no issues and no cone. Because they are human beings who know how to treat animals. I want to make it my life's mission to shut this place down and my husband and I are STILL seeing red. Do NOT go here. I wish I had the time because I'd devote all of it to that. Wasted my time, my money, and hurt my cat. It makes me sick to think what they did behind closed doors. 3rd time bringing our cat here. Cons: About 10k so far in bills and parking is tight. Pro: Everything else. The staff is great. The wait time isn't so bad. Dr ogle and Dr Brahma have been great. Even though we've spent so much money here, I don't think they're ripping us off. It's just that expensive of a service. The most recent visit I asked if we should keep our cat over night, which would have easily cost hundreds more but Dr Ogle said it wasn't necessary. She could have easily milked us but didn't. I don't know how fair is the pricing but it is what it is when your cat has cancer and needs emergency services. Would bring any pet here if needed. read more

My dog was sent home from TrueCare for pets to die with a misdiagnosis and out over $4,500.00 (my dogs visit began in normal business hours). Everyone reading this if your pet is having an emergency and it is life threatening go ANYWHERE ELSE. It's incredibly frightening when your pet is very ill/life threatening and you react quick and do whatever needs to be done, STOP... take a breath, find another option, and please don't go here. If I could give a negative -10 I would! This is a complete tragedy that they consider themselves an EMERGENCY hospital! They are driven solely by money. They have a desperate clientele and exploit that! It wouldn't have been so horrifying to spend the insane amount of money if they actually knew what they were talking about. The "doctor" had to send out the x-rays to be read elsewhere....why? Because they don't know how?? They told me my dog had a high red blood count which caused his body to work hard because the blood gets thick. "After finding out you actually do a removal of some of the dogs blood when this occurs, NOT just give the dog fluids. Let me just slso state that the vet NOT Once in the 8 hours I was in their lobby, ever came out to tell me ANYTHING face to face. She literally called me the whole time I was sitting on their couch and was very clear regarding my location. She then mumbled something about his back, then said she would get the xray read and get back to me. I had already paid 2.5k and they wanted 3500 more for him to spend the night, yet no xray results, no plan on how to cure this blood issue. I was so disgusted I said go ahead and give him fluids then when that was completed we would be leaving. My dog ended up passing away two days later. I am not just blaming True for his death, I am blaming them for running their operation with zero empathy, zero concern, zero urgency and 100% about money money money! They wanted me of course to prepay every single item Immediately, yet wouldn't run my card for me. They told me to do it on this website which I might add is not very easy to use (mind you I was a COMPLETE wreck). Once I told them he wasn't staying in their non care and UNTRUE and greedy facility, I was told I just needed to pay an additional 20 some odd dollars...the stupid website charged me 3x! It took over a week for them to refund me...not because they did it when I informed them, I had to dispute the duplicate charges with my bank. They sure were quick to take my money tho. I honestly don't know how this place remains open. They without a doubt, have ZERO drive to help animals or help their owners except to walk the owners right into the pits of Hell! When they brought my lifeless dog out to me, I could barely hold him. He was literally dead weight, much worse then when I brought him in. I will never forgot this awful experience. Losing this dog has literally affected me so much, I feel like I am dying of a broken heart. I hope that this entire operation is ashamed of themselves. Know one day your greed will catch up with you and eventually, will have to answer to the man upstairs. TrueCare is a predator not unlike the phone scams that threaten to turn your businesses power off. My experience is as follows. My cat, Phoebe, had been vomiting for two days and my wife and I became extremely worried. Our vet was busy and couldn't take her for another day. So, we decided to try TruCare. I called and the said there could be up to a 3 hour wait and I had to wait in the parking lot. That's a long time, but would be worth it to make sure Phoebe is ok. Once I arrived, I called and was informed it would be closer to 6 hours. I asked if I could be on a list and go home and they call me closer to that time? They told me no and that I had to wait in the lot. I said I would wait in the lot. Immediately after letting them know, I received a text asking if I understood he wait time. I replied, "Yes, I don't want my cat to die. So, it's worth it." They immediately came out and got Phoebe. The 6 hour wait had disappeared. They cane out and got Phoebe and called me and let me know the recommend blood work and an X-ray and that I would need to pay $1,100. That's a lot, but I was worried and paid. I was then allowed to leave the lot. 45 minutes later I was called and informed that the bloodwork was negative, but there was a concerning dark spot on the X-ray and Phoebe needed exploratory surgery and in 45 minutes and it would cost another $6-9,000 that has to be paid up front and we needed to let them know immediately. Once again, that's a lot of money, but they scared us enough to make it life or death for the cat. We paid. A few hours later, we were informed that Phoebe must have eaten a string, but that it has passed and the woukd keep her over night. We picked her up the next morning with her jagged 4 inch, staples incision. I'm sure the do some honest business, but if you voice you're willing to go to any lengths for your pet, TruCare will exploit that love. Like blood in the water to a shark, TruCare will get you! My advice, if possible, wait for your regular vet! read more

We brought our 14 YO dog in late on a Saturday night for difficulty breathing from his collapsing trachea. We found the entire staff kind, compassionate and caring. We were presented with our options and given time and privacy to make decisions. I highly recommend this facility for emergency care for your pet. read more

In panic, they immediately charged me $1,200 for tests that my dog ended not even needing. After waiting for 6 hours outside, I finally decided to take my pup out of there and take her to her regular vet who finally responded. (It was off hours) They attempted to pitch me for other services and potential surgeries and when I said no, within 20mins after realizing they couldn't squeeze another penny off of me, they released my pup saying it was just a bad stomach ache (diaherea related). Even though the news wasn't good, I still had a positive experience with the staff. I followed their covid-19 instructions (fill out the admission form, park, call to check-in.). My cat didn't wait long to be triaged, Bethany was very thorough in questioning the reason for the visit which really put me at ease--I felt heard. My beloved cat saw Dr. White who is remarkable in that not only is she very thorough and investigative, but she is also very patient and kind. Lorna, Dr. Whites assistant was very kind, thorough and knowledgeable as well. Both of these ladies helped me make informed decisions that I can live with. Even though I was unable to physically be with my cat due to covid, I felt she was in good hands and this *feeling* is SO very important to me because I am generally untrusting. It's worth mentioning that the front desk is always super helpful, informative and available for questions. I have never had to wait long to speak (or text) with someone and they always get back to me in a timely manner. I know this place can get expensive--it IS an emergency hospital after all and so that is to be expected. If you're looking for an affordable place for basic veterinary care needs, this may not the place--you might be better served finding a small veterinary clinic. But for emergencies and specialty services (oncology, etc.), this is definitely the place to go to! I never write Yelp reviews, but for these entitled asshats, I'll make an exception. If you go there, be prepared to wait for HOURS (we waited 8 hours) and to be ignored the whole time like you're an inconvenience. When you're finally seen, you're dealt with in installments: Dr. Ogle in particular is incapable of diagnosis + prescription + discharge in one session. Each time, you are made to wait hours between each phase. They're simply inefficient and everything they do is designed to prioritize their own needs over yours and of your pet. "True Care" is a misnomer because they truly don't care about you. This is not a clinic, it's purgatory. read more

Cannot say enough GREAT things about this hospital and EVERYONE who works there. A couple of years ago, our terrier, suffered a horrifying medical condition in the middle of the night. We raced him over to True Care and after a day of running tests, etc., they were able to figure out what the digestive issue was. He was placed on meds and had been doing just fine until this past November when we started to see hints of the same condition resurfacing. We knew to get him back there right away and Dr. Maya Lotatti and the support staff there once again brought our 11 1/2 year old buddy back to us in good health. Since then we have been back for followup bloodwork and prescription refills and been treated royally. We have now moved to another state and we've been able to keep Dr. Lotatti updated to which she cordially responded. THANK YOU all!!! read more

I just tried to take my dog in as she consumed a grape and she only weighs 8 lbs, based on a quick google search I figured I should bring her in; Online it said this was urgent and to bring your dog in ASAP like within an hour of them eating the grapes. At the front desk, I was told by the young man: "just so you know it's going to be two or three hours before she can be seen by the vet..." and I said "I'm pretty sure this is an emergency, at least based on my quick research" and he said (with little sympathy or encouragement, in a sort of drone voice) "well I'm just telling you our situation... we will get her into triage as quickly as possible but it might be two or three hours..." Then I said: "so what I'm hearing from you is that this is not an emergency..?" And he just kept saying "all I can say is it's going to be awhile...." Um, ok..? What kind of emergency hospital is this! I understand them taking a few hours to treat her, but to not be seen for a few hours when no one had determined if it was an emergency or not? I have been here "after hours" multiple times for our two dogs and always received fantastic service.... let me preface that I am a nurse who works in hospital surgery for trauma victims- so I am understanding and forgiving of the fact that places such as this triage their patients which may result in longer wait times for those babies who are not urgent. I know this is frustrating at times, but understand if a baby comes in dying- they get first priority and you will have to wait because its all hands on deck- matter of fact, take this into consideration any time YOU need care as well, and also understand that human or beloved pet. Also, if you have an appointment, running late means you throw the entire schedule off. That being said- you would NOT want your doctor to rush through an appointment when care is truly needed, right??? You don't want a doctor cutting you off and saying your time is up- correct!? They don't, so be understanding when doctors take their time- because that means they will do the same for you if and when needed.... I've had a few trips in for minor emergencies requiring urgent care such as abscesses etc.... but last night, No- we had a true emergency, which was solidified by my baby girl breathing at 120 breaths a minute- you not need to have my educational background to know this is a TRUE emergency. The vet tech came out immediately when I told the receptionist our problem- he asked to look at her, just to make sure I know what I'm talking about and that my baby girl wasn't panting vs breathing that rapidly - he confirmed she was not and told me- "I have to take her now" and RAN inside with her.... I have witnessed my own share of grief in the hospital since CoVid so I was not surprised we were not allowed in- I will spare you the details, but she was admitted to the ICU and we were told it was safe to go home... per covid and for no other reason.... Just as is in hospitals- no visitors are allowed unless .... things we wish not to discuss.... 2:30 am we received a distressing call and we were allowed to come in and see her beautiful face before making a final decision..... Sadly, it took me a full 60 seconds to understand- it was time to say goodbye to my sweet 15 year old baby girl...... I was devastated due to the rapid and sudden onset- I had hoped she would stabilize by morning, but intubation is not a word you want to hear, come human- or fur baby.... I recognized staff from visits past that had been simply fantastic, and they continued their excellence through this momentous loss.... we were met with soft touches, and looks of empathy behind these giant face masks, even hugs before I left and sincere looks of grief behind their barely visible eyes.... We were forced to make the worst of decision during the worst of times- Yet, I still felt loved, I still felt cared for and even more.... as horrible and difficult as it was to leave that room- I trusted them and I knew they felt the pain of the world losing this tiny baby... the tech at the end offered me a hug and his acceptance of my boa constrictor type hug and wailing cries with no judgement of me leaving tears on his sweater during questionable times- only made me love this place more, especially with my knowledge of caring for humans.... she was not a dog to them- she was my baby, and I can never say enough for that. I will also note that the MD Vet caring for my baby, had many of the same questions I did.... and she was not willing to give up, unless I was willing to as well... I made the easiest, yet most difficult decision of my life that night, and I promise you- they cared for us both. So if you took the time to read this very thorough review... I would absolutely suggest you bring your baby here- I will never regret this being the last moments I was able to share with my wonderful, beautiful, sweet 15 year old taco terrier.... Beware!! My dog got a bad case of kennel cough here. Other than one particularly rude member of staff snapping at me because HE mis heard what I said, this place did a good job with the initial reason she needed medical attention. They are overwhelmed and stressed out so I would rather go to a different ER that are better suited to working in walk in situations. Unfortunately my dog was sent home with meds and kennel cough. TrueCare actually asked me if she'd been around other dogs when trying to figure out where she got it but she had only been to TrueCare. Anyway, they also didn't treat her for it or offer any advise as what I should do to care for her. I know kennel cough is highly contagious but you would think that the facility that infected her would help treat her too. read more

I am so relieved/happy/grateful that we chose TrueCare for Pets to take care of our fur baby, Kona, when she needed 2 TPLO surgeries. Dr. Soto and the TrueCare team, Ari, Brit, Tiff, and Chris, were amazing and took wonderful care of Kona. Kona's quality of life has enhanced greatly following surgery and she is no longer in pain, which brings this fur momma so much joy. I can't recommend TrueCare for Pets enough. Right before the Christmas holiday our beloved panther kitty, Jesse, was in trouble. As often happens, this occurred in the evening when the regular vet was closed. I called TrueCare, and they told me to come in. During the Covid pandemic, not only are the regular human hospitals slammed, but also the veterinary hospitals. I was so grateful to get in. The staff upfront was professional and warm. I was able to wait in their lobby, appropriately spaced, and was kept comfortable, cozy, and awake with some complementary coffee. This was right before the Omicron variant roared in, so I don't know what the current waiting room policy is. I had to work that evening, and returned home. Dr. Maya Lottati called with news that was very serious and sobering. Our beloved boy had something called idiopathic chylothorax (unknown reason for lymphatic fluid building up around his lungs). This process had likely been happening for a while, but the doctor explained that cats can mask things and adapt, until they no longer are able to hide the problem. We lost Jesse a week later. The sadness of this event was softened by the incredible compassion and care that was displayed by Dr. Lottati and Dr. Craig when I had an emergency return visit to have more fluid drained. The care Jesse needed during that time was on the hospital level, and he was right where he needed to be. We did not have pet insurance, but I will be purchasing some for our remaining kitty who is younger. Jesse was only eight years old, and you expect things when cats are getting much older....just like us people. I now realize it's prudent to have insurance for your animals. Jesse was with us at home, when a visiting vet helped him "cross the rainbow bridge" in a peaceful way. As painful as this situation was, and boy do we miss him, I know he received compassionate care, and I received superb medical advice. ‍ read more
