I do not like to give poor reviews, however, TrueCare has overbilled or double billed me. I went a couple of weeks ago for impacted earwax and a dental check. The doctor was great, and the dentist was okay. I paid both bills in full on the spot with my debit card before I left. Now they are sending me a bill for $137.25 by email. This is very distressing to be sent a bill when I have already paid. It is the weekend, so I will try to resolve this on Monday. If they admit their error and send me written resolution of this bill, I will increase my rating. If they press me to pay this unfair billing, I will fight it, and they will get another one of their many one-star ratings. I sure hope they are smart and admit their mistake quickly. read more

I have been with Tru-Care medical for several years now and have been more than satisfied with the care that I have received. The doctors are very helpful and take the time to explain what is going on so that you understand m. The staff has always been very courteous and helpful. The only downside is that sometimes it takes me weeks to get into see my doctor. If I have an urgent matter I am forced to see someone else or go to an urgent care or the emergency room. read more

TrueCare is where my kids and I have gone for very basic care over the years. We don't really go to the doctor much because I order my own labs and research most of my own things. That's how bad the medical world has become. The last time I visited was in 2022, I brought my most recent labs and I was having some throat pain. Different than a sore throat. The PA who saw me wouldn't allow me to take my mask off so she could look inside my throat. Will someone please tell me how a doctor can help a patient without looking at the area that is concerning? She then looked at my labs and said everything looks good, even though there were a couple of numbers that were not within normal range. I wanted to figure it out, but it was clear, as usual, this wasn't going to happen. Bottom line, if you just need a prescription for antibiotics, I guess go here. The only doctor there who was GREAT was Dr. Ming Chen, a pediatric MD. She was fantastic, and I just got a letter that she is no longer there. So I guess it's time to get my medical license since finding a good doctor is like finding a needle in a haystack these days. read more

Overdue review. I've been to multiple psychiatrists throughout my life. I have a family history of crazy sh*t. I want to and need to stay ahead of it. Recently starting going to a small pharmacy after being jerked around by cvs for years. I mentioned I needed a new psychiatrist. They recommended me this place. The NP was nice and listened to me. I had the worst experience ever!! I had to come here because I had to change my pcp and this is the closest one to where I live. I had an incident where I twisted my ankle. No sure if it was broken or not and I could not walk at all. I made an appointment here to get it checked out. The doctor was so rude and disrespectful. NEVER in my life have I had something like this happened to me. I asked if I can get some crutches since I could not walk at all. And I had to go to school. And the doctor said no. And I asked why not and he just ignored my question and sent me to go get x-rays. I had to borrow some crutches from a friend since he didn't provide some. NEVER EVER GOING BACK AGAIN! I've had my share of problems with the services here. But, lately I've been seeing some changes and am getting some good help with caring for my elderly mom. Her doctor has been corresponding and listening to my concerns. so, I have to give a thumbs up for that. I'm also happy with the new online portal and get fast replies and can order refills on medications there and set dr visits there. Reaching them or setting appt on the phone with a live person still is hard. I don't even try calling now. Just use the portal online as it makes much things easier. They also helped out with a safe ride to and from last time I needed it. read more

We had a pediatric appointment with Dr. Chen and she was extremely dismissive and belittling. My son had ver noticeable rash on his stomach and automatic blamed it on poor diet without even taking to me about what he eats. She made the blanket assumption that he was eating poor quality food (which is not) and refused to give us any other answers or suggestions for how to make his rash better. I do NOT recommend seeing her, zero bedside manners and judgmental. read more

I moved from San Diego and had a hard time finding a doc and good health care facility. I called around and eventually found this place and it was a blessing. I'm now with a great PA and she is knowledgeable about what she does and I was relieved finally I found a good doc with great service. They also follow up with you. I tried (Tri Ciy ) it was the worse. I had a problem that was misdiagnosed and my new doctor caught it right off the bat. Lucky me. I feel comfortable that I'm in good hands. They don't know how to handle virtual appointments. I missed the first 2 calls, so I called them back at the number they left. You have to wait forever to get through the multiple menus until I finally reached the front desk. They called a 3rd time as I was calling them. So the receptionist told me "oh because they called 3 times and you didn't answer, they canceled the appointment." I asked her to transfer me, to leave a note or to do anything to get on with the appointment, she was so uncooperative, inflexible and just overall (sorry to say this) but just dumb. The stupidity of this receptionist is truly unmatched. Like if you are gonna work in healthcare, you need to advocate for the patient and try to work with them so that they can be successfully seen promptly. But frankly this all would not have happened if they give you a call back number that directly connects to virtual appointments or if the menu even includes an option for virtual appointments (which does not exist yet). Additionally, they need to incorporate better training for their administrative staff to understand that they are working in healthcare, people may have serious issues or they may have waited for so long to be seen, this is not a way to treat patients. They need to learn to be better liaisons between the patient and the providers. This lack of empathy, social intelligence and robotic behavior has no place in healthcare. read more

This is my third visit, exceptional service treated with dignity. The third visit was a bit of an urgent matter, same day appointment. From the front desk they were pleasant, the medical assistant Carolina was very caring and relatable, the make nurse Gonzalo was very nice informative and concerned and Dr K came in twice to talk to me she gave me great patient time. I wasn't there long, no long waiting periods. The time spent there was with a good medical team. Keep up the professionalism, informative and caring work. What a great facility you all have! 4 stars due to the on time appointments. Never waited more than 5 minutes over my appointment time & sometimes called before my appointment time. Nurses snd staff top notch. However, getting thru on the phone to ask questions or make appointments is a lesson in patience. You will spend more time waiting to make a appontment via phone then your whole visit in person to see a doctor. read more

If you lack insurance then I guess you don't have much of a choice but to go here but I'd pass. My girlfriend broke her thumb and doesn't have insurance so I did a Google search and found this place. I called to ensure that they had the capabilities to handle a broken thumb and they assured me they did. So, I made an appointment and off we went. Once we arrived they promptly charged my credit card for the visit and after consulting with the Dr I was promptly told to take her to the closets ER. To me this is shady business, they knew that they couldn't treat her yet they lied and said they could. Once they had my money the truth came out. Going there was a complete waste of time and money. ***UPDATE*** We went to the ER at Tri City. Tri City ran their own X-rays, her finger was dislocated. So not only did this clinic lie & steal my cash they also can't read their own X-rays & miss diagnosed her. read more

True Care, formerly North County Health Services, is very difficult to set an appointment. The wait time to set an appointment is anywhere from 40 minutes to 60 minutes of being on hold. If you call in the afternoon after waiting the usual 40-60 minutes you are encouraged to call at 7:30 in the morning the following day to set an appointment. I find this absolutely ridiculous and frustrating. I would not recommend their services and will be looking for different health care. read more

I had an experience just like Mathew B. I went in without an appointment because of SERIOUS ear pain and infection. I was hurting bad and still am. They said they would fit me in the clinic downstairs. I sat and waited for over an hour and they then said I could be seen, but was sent upstairs. The lady checked me in and had me wait. I then was called to the back room where some nurse acted like I was going to be seen and checked my vital signs. Then she checks my ears and says they cant see me today. I was so confused, in pain and sick that they played with me the whole time. It was as if it was scam and a big lie the whole time. This has be one of the worst clinics I have ever been to in my 42 years of life. They are in the medical care field, but they DO NOT truly care about patients. The place is operated by 20 something young women who should not be in the medical care field if they do not know how to truly care for patients. read more

We went to NCHS because our dr Ronald Park moved from private practice to NCHS. We called to make sure our insurance was accepted "Yes, Dr Park accepts your insurance." - we brought our kids in for their yearly physicals - they were DENIED because while Dr Park accepts it - NCHS does not - NCHS was nice on the phone but only submitted at NCHS and refused to bill for Dr Park - and Dr Park would not bill for himself. We were told by Aetna that he WAS still contracted that he simply needed to bill properly. No accountability. We ended up eating over $300 worth of bills for a STANDARD PHYSICAL that should be covered at 100%. In addition to that - the nurse asked disrespectful and inappropriate questions about my children's adoption situation. We will NOT be going back. This seems like a great place to go to if you do NOT have insurance and have state funded medical care (not judging - just pointing out something good) - they bill WAY higher than regular bills for the visits we had - so it is BAD if you have to pay out of pocket - but the facility is clean and our kids were seen fairly quickly. I suppose that is the only way this place would be good - if you are not paying for it - your kids are going to be seen and it is clean and safe. read more

I really appreciate the good care I receive here. I usually make appointments for early morning and I am seen on or very close to the set time. Everyone is nice and professional. I really like my physician, Dr. Safi, and her nurses Elena and Juana. I'm vegan, don't like to take meds, and the Dr. doesn't try and push me to take meds. She'll discuss my ides of natural ways to treat things. They are on top of making appointments for preventative medicine and screening for women's health issues. I have insurance, but in the past when I didn't, I was treated with the same, great service. They recently started to use an online portal where I can check my lab results and send my Dr. a question. I look forward to using this feature. read more

This place shows a complete disregard for patients time. They schedule appointments way in advance. Then you show up on time, still wait in line for 30 min and they tell you that either the doctor is unavailable and no replacement is available or the appointment was errorneously scheduled. The actual doctors are ok, but the customer service is so bad that you end up wasting hours again and again with nothing to show for it. The only excuse you ever get is "I don't know who scheduled this and why they didn't check..., I don't know why no one called you, etc." The experience has been beyond frustrating. Very disappointed in the service. I have been trying to get service for my 10 year old daughter who fractured her toe. We went in on April 4th 2018. After 1st xray they scheduled a time to get a cast. that did not happen they decided to put tape. the crutches showed up a month late. we went back in for a follow up becuase there was never one scheduled, on May 9th 2018 we went in and they said dont bother with the crutches. Their plan of treatment at this point was continue with post op shoe and no gym x2 weeks note given for school. xray next week. I called today once again to follow up 5-23-18, they have not called me or mailed me a time and place for xray and it has been two weeks. when i called their office they told me they were not answering the phone that they would have to call me because there was nothing scheduled for an xray. one month and a few weeks later.This is why i said i was diappointed. read more

So I'm here with my girlfriend to get a referral. The doctor came in asked a few questions kept interupting us. Talking over us and the rushed out when we asked to see him to see If he is actually getting the referral a nurse stopped us and said he spent to much time with us and that we need to sit. OK here is my review. The good, the bad and the ugly. If I had to compare this clinic to the one I was going to in San Marcos then I will give them an extra star for trying. If you want to know my experiences there, feel free to read my reviews on that one... this one I switched to to get coverage for my son and I's mental health. I had my appt first with Mercedes whom is wonderful and understanding. Everything went smoothly and she even got some bloodwork done during my appt time. Then we had to go downstairs for my son. Appt was 10 45. Due to paperwork and processing we got back there more like 11 30. The good news is Angel and Maria worked hard to get him in to the dr, with no problems with insurance (we had been doing the run around since medical laws are changing) we saw the dr about 11 45 an hour later. He checked his vitals and then wrote the prescript that he needed immediately since he had been off his meds for a week and withdrawling. I leave and go to the pharmacy and the prescript has not been turned in. I go back the next day saturday, still no prescript so I call the office. The dr forgot to put it in and cannot be reached until Monday. SO A OK... would be better if there was complete follow through but after the events I have been through at the other clinic. I've had to visit this facility a few times in the last several months. Every time I have been there the check-in has been fast and efficient. I had a couple of very good visits with Dr. Meredith Heidenfeld, I love that she makes it a point to combine as many services as possible into one appointment - so helpful.
