    I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Castle Group management with ongoing issues…read morefor the past 3 years since they took over our building. Communication is consistently unprofessional and unresolved issues are ignored for extended periods of time. It is impossible to reach anyone that can assist with a concern. When you do, your phone calls are rarely returned, and staff members have even hung up on bank representatives who were calling on my behalf with proof of payment documentation. Despite timely payments being submitted, payments are either not applied properly or intentionally delayed so the account reflects late status, resulting in erroneous late fees of $75-$80 being charged each month. They then proceed with liens to recover illegitimate fees that have compounded with interest causing thousands of dollars that must be paid regardless of their legitimacy to avoid further fees, and never once speaking to the owner to try and resolve the issue or analyze why there was a balance in the first place. They simply send out incorrect numbers in letter form and neglect to discuss it when you call or email. Their solution to avoid late fees is to give them access to your banking account so that they can withdraw whatever they want from your account. Sure, you can fill in how much your payment should be, but they have a small print statement on the registration page that states they can adjust the withdrawal amount with no prior notification. The property itself has also been poorly maintained. Hallways have ongoing mold issues, the pool has been inoperable for nearly five years, and elevators are constantly breaking down, creating major inconvenience and safety concerns for residents such as myself who is disabled. And not because we don't pay for it! We pay 4 different Special Assessments in addition to a very high monthly maintenance ($1700 Monthly Maintanence and Assessments for a mortgage-free 1 bedroom apartment) Another major issue is the constant turnover of office staff and transient management employees, making it nearly impossible to get accountability or consistent assistance. Managers are often rude, dismissive, and refuse to escalate legitimate resident concerns. Overall, this has been one of the worst property management experiences I have ever dealt with. Residents deserve transparency, professionalism, proper maintenance, and basic customer service -- none of which have been consistently provided here. I would urge anyone considering using Castle Group as their management company to reconsider and read the reviews available online via all forums (Anji, BBB, Yelp, Google). Apparently, these practices referenced are common occurrences by Castle Group. Somehow, a previous complaint I made on Yelp about the Castle Group was taken down.

    I waited 30 Days to post this review to give Benjamin the benefit of the doubt, to give him a…read morechance to prove his word as a property management company but here is the proof that he is a SCAM artist. I believe that Icon Realty was involved in hacking my bank account. I leased an apartment in the heart of las olas/Fort Lauderdale from December 2016, from Atlantic loft llc. I agreed to pay a 2 month security deposit of $2400 as well as first, last and security (pretty standard) got my key, etcétera. After 2 different companies handling our property, ICON Realty came in January 2020 and revamped property by implementing a ***online payment service ***** aka , a way to get into your bank account. I questioned who this is and why I had to use this system to pay, not only to be replied with "It is our new system and you have to use it, you must pay rent this way or consult your attorney" As I went ahead and used it but decided to not renew my upcoming ending lease of 3/30/20. I emailed, texted and explain that I would not be renewing the lease because not only I don't trust the payment system, I had a very difficult time communicating with Benjamin (who by the way runs the whole thing). He ignored all my calls and the ones he replied, he did very rudely. I promptly moved out on schedule and handed him the keys along with my original lease agreement. He took the keys and said that He did not have a refund and I would need to wait 30 days to receive one on the mail. Now 30 days later. My bank account has been HACKED and bank investigated the multiple charges leading back to that January rent payment. I have been getting random withdrawals from different wiring entities totaling over 1k so far. Due to covid19, I can not yet file a claim in court. And the reason I am writing this is to WARN tenants and landlords about companies like this! I am attaching the refund check I just received. What a joke! See you in court.

    Positive: Professionalism I was told about John Kemper a…read moreyear ago, and spoke with him about selling my property...After one year and finally deciding to sell, I was given names of other Realtors to deal with, but I remember talking to John and felt like he was someone that really knew the business.....He knew exactly what I needed to list my condo for, to get a buyer. It was big, very pretty, mile from the beach, great location, but did need upgrading.....He told me exactly what to do..and he was right...Great listing price........He negotiated with these people right up front, this is what she is taking, needs upgrades, but great price for this condo, location was beautiful.... John definitely knows his business, don't fool around, gets to the point...I liked John and yes...I would highly recommend John Kemper, e-pro realtly....

    My experiences with EPRO were outstanding, they helped to try and sell my mothers condo in Florida…read moreafter she passed away, unfortunately there were some other issues that would not allow us to sell the condo and it was at the bottom of the market when not much was selling but they did offer good suggestions on how to sell it. I can not recommend John Kemper, the owner high enough for all he had done! I read the rants of one of the other posters, my opinion is she wanted something for nothing. My experience is if you have problems with a tenant before they move in, you will always have problems with that tenant.I have never come across a landlord that will allow you to pay "piecemeal" its all or nothing, and since it is in the begining of her review to me it sounds like she has an issue with anyone that is Jewish.
