I recently tried Truett's Luau on a trip to Fayetteville. The restaurant was conveniently located almost across the street from my hotel and is easy to find for anyone visiting from out of town. I thought the theming was tastefully done and not over the top. I liked the Hawaiian style fans as well as the tiki style glassware. The building is cozy and just right for the Hawaiian atmosphere! My favorite part was the service! My server was very hospitable and helpful as I had plenty of questions. She helped me through the menu and explained all of the variations in offerings. She was attentive but I did not feel rushed. Service is definitely a standout at this location! I ordered the frosted Hawaiian and the limited time Iced berry pie latte to drink. Both were fantastic! The frosted Hawaiian was a mix of Hawaiian Punch, pineapple juice, and ice cream I believe...served in a chilled tiki glass. The iced berry pie latte while not served in a tiki glass was also wonderful. I opted not to order an appetizer but instead ordered a sampling of several of their specialty dishes. The nuggets and sweet potato fries were great same great nuggets you know and love from CFA but these were battered very well (nice and crispy). Sweet potato fries offered a nice change of pace to your usual waffle fry. The kaulua pork sandwich was a good attempt at Hawaiian food but not as good as something you would get from a specialty store. The pork should have been a bit smokier and the sauce was a bit too sweet but the slaw was very fresh! The grilled Mahi sandwich was the biggest disappointment of the evening however. It was "grilled" on a George Foreman type grill it seems and it was pretty dry. They should add a glaze or a sauce to help with this issue in my opinion. This location features both a traditional CFA with counter service and a drive thru as well as dinning room with table service. I found the table service to be a standout here and would definitely recommend giving it a try if you are ever in the area. read more

Pineapple frosted lemonade was bussin! Please make that everywhere! I randomly drove past this after taking about it the week before. I love a good God aligned day! I was pleasantly surprised at how this location felt like a hidden resort. It was so cute down to the decor. I didn't have much of an appetite but I wouldn't mind going back to try out one of the fish sandwiches. It was also surprising that they had a drive through! I see there's a lot of mixed reviews about this place - seems like it tends to depend on who's cooking in the kitchen. I'll say from my experience that I really enjoyed most of what we ordered. We got the Frosted Hawaiian, Tropical Nuggets (appetizer portion), and the Kalua Pork Tacos. The Frosted Hawaiian was sooo good - refreshing, fun, a little creamy, and a crisp hint of sprite. I could drink that for days. I didn't need a side, so I went with the appetizer portion of the Tropical Nuggets. From my experience, the nuggets were significantly better than the ones that are served at the fast food locations. The nuggets were larger, still tender, and were coated in some yummy, sweet sauce. I had half the nuggets be volcano style, and the other half be regular style. I personally don't think the volcano nuggets were spicy at all, but to someone who is very sensitive to spice, then sure maybe they'd be a bit spicy. The volcano nuggets had more of a sweet and spicy ginger kick to them, while the regular nuggets had more of a sweet, tangy flavor to them. My boyfriend ordered the Kalua Pork Tacos - they were also good! I didn't enjoy them as much as my nuggets, but we were both pleasantly surprised that the pork was moist and not dry. I've been trying to visit as many of the fun Chick-fil-A locations around Atlanta as I can, so I was really excited to check out the luau-themed one. The theming inside was a lot of fun and definitely made it feel different from a typical Chick-fil-A. I ordered the pineapple macadamia nut milkshake, and it was hands down my favorite thing I had, it was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, it took a while before I could even try it because the server forgot to bring straws and then forgot again when he went to get more. For food, I ordered the mahi mahi platter. The mixed vegetables were very salty, with a strong soy sauce flavor, the mahi mahi itself was good. The fried was a bit bland. I also tried the island chicken nuggets, which were flavorful and enjoyable. I did ask the server for the other specialty sauces for thenlocation to try out, but they never came back after the food was delivered. Even after our meal we had been waiting for about 20 minutes before finding another server to check out with. Overall, I'm glad I went and experienced it, especially for the fun theme and the milkshake. Everything was cool about our experience. Truett's Luau is located in Fayetteville about a 45 minute ride for us, but we had to go back for the inside dining. Upon arrival we were great by a young man play a small guitar, too cute! Loved that entrance! We were seated right away but out waitress didnt show up until about 5 mins later. She wasnt the warmest to speak with and she was that attentive, like we could tell her day wasnt going well. But we made the best of it. I ordered Pineapple Chicken Tacos-Two tender chicken tacos topped with our signature spicy sauce and pineapples. Topped with our tangy slaw $12.85 with a side of sweet potato fries. Which is a premium side amand we had to pay a different of a $1 and change. For my deink I had to have the Frosted Hawaiian $4.69 but worth every penny! Its a combination of punch, ice cream and something else I cant put my fingers on. Lol Hubby had the hawaiian burger with waffle fries. I have been wanting to check this place out for ages it always find myself going through the area on Sunday! This time we made it happen though and it was a fun experience. We chose the sit-down option and tried a bit of everything. The wonton nachos with Kahlua pork were the star of the show for everyone. Loaded and delish, a practically perfect bite. 12/10. I got the pineapple chicken tacos with both sweet potato waffle fries and the roasted potatoes. This all fell short for me, the tacos had three tiny pieces of pineapple each which is definitely not enough considering the name. Flavor and texture was good, maybe. 6.5/10. The fries were dry and over cooked. 5/10. Roasted potatoes were season less and didn't get eaten. 2/10. My niece had the cod tacos and she devoured them, 10/10 according to her. She upgraded her side to the pineapple fried rice and again, the pineapple was missing. Very dry as well. Disappointed us all tbh. 3/10. My mom got the chicken salad sandwich with fried rice, she liked it but said homemade is better. 6/10. My sister got some chicken with stir fry veggies and likes it but wouldn't order it again. The veggies were really good though, I would get those in the future. We also had a frosted Hawaiian and a frosted pineapple and they were both aesthetically pleasing and delicious. Service was lackluster, presumably by a bunch of students not motivated to deliver the speed & efficiency that the restaurant brand is known for. The restaurant is a sit down one appearing to be first come first serve. The menu offers tacos, burgers, salads, sides and a breakfast option in the morning. WOWIE MAUI AT TRUETT'S LUAU | I've had this one on my Atlanta bucket list and it did not disappoint! Seriously the cutest chickfila theme in the country, for sure. They serve Hawaiian themed breakfast and items exclusive to this location only! It's also fun to walk around the restaurant and non-dining areas of the luau, including interactive exhibits and a spacious outdoor patio. We arrived around 9:40am on a Saturday morning and it was busy - because obviously, chickfila breakfast reigns supreme versus other fast food breakfast options. We were one of the first tables to be seated - and we started with some very un-breakfasty drinks - including bubble tea (peach tea with mango popping bubbles), the frosted Hawaiian and the frosted Pineapple. All were tasty, but my favorite was the frosted Pineapple. Would definitely order again. The bubble tea isn't truly authentic but was a pleasant surprise to find on the menu, regardless. I love Chick-n-Minis so of course I had to try the Tropical Chick-n-Minis, which were basically just regular chick n minis dipped in Polynesian sauce. Am i complaining? No but it did feel a little silly paying $0.90 more for them. It comes with grits and two eggs any way. We also split the Banana Macadamia Nut Pancakes, the Loco Moco, the Hawaiian Bread Pudding, and after waiting for lunch time to start, we ordered the Luau Fish Sandwich. I was a bit disappointed in some of the entrees, especially after coming back from Hawaii just several months before - but overall, if I hadn't know what I was missing, it's still a fun and different menu from the typical chickfila. The Luau Fish Sandwich was great since they had stopped serving it for Lent after a few years of testing them in the market. Overall, I would 100% come back to Truett's Luau if it were closer. He told his board of advisors his vision. The advisors told him all the potential issues with his vision. Truett practically said "I hear your concerns... now go build me my Luau." This place is so much fun! Them atmosphere is just so different... you wouldn't even know it's a Chick-fil-A. It's got Dine-In options with servers and a special Hawaiian themed menu, there are carry options with some of their favorite Luau menu items, and there is a play area with outdoor seating and waterfalls. My party enjoyed sharing the specialty frosted beverages and milkshakes that are only offered here. We got the Frosted Hawaiian and the Pineapple Nut Milkshake. I especially loved the crunchy bits in the milkshake! The Luau Burger was a highlight- an absolutely amazing burger! It had colby-jack cheese, applewood smoked bacon, (and the best part) grilled pineapple... yum! I would definitely recommend this to all my burger fans ;) My party enjoyed getting the chicken salad sandwich. I love that CFA has an option for a gluten-free bun, and it paired perfectly in this case with the chicken salad! This issue has been ongoing for weeks, but it has become especially unacceptable on Friday, Saturday, and again today, November 21. Despite consistent customer demand and a full staff of hospital employees, this Chick-fil-A location is frequently out of essential food items for long stretches of time. Today, the store had no sandwiches, no salads, no milkshakes, no ice cream, and essentially no meals available for hours. This is not a one-time occurrence--it has become a pattern. This problem has a direct impact on: * Emergency room staff and medical teams who rely on quick meals during critical shifts. * Hospital employees who use their limited break time expecting reliable food service. * Patients and visitors who patronize the location expecting Chick-fil-A's usual high standards. It is important to note that this is not free food--hospital staff and customers are willing to pay full price for these meals, which seem higher here at the hospital than the actual store. However, the store at the hospital by the emergency room has repeatedly failed to provide basic menu availability. What makes this more concerning is that there has been no apparent effort to restock by requesting supplies from nearby Chick-fil-A locations or satellite stores, which is something many Chick-fil-A operators routinely do to avoid service disruptions. It's kinda random that there's a Hawaiian-themed Chick-fil-A in Atlanta, but I'm not complaining! Inside near the entrance, there's a little station where you can send a themed postcard to mail back to yourself, which I thought was cute :)) There is an option to dine in with a more extensive menu, but I chose takeout since I was pressed for time. I ordered the pineapple chicken tacos, sweet potato fries, and a frosted coffee (my CFA beverage of choice) through the app. My order didn't take long at all and the workers were very friendly (as CFA workers usually are). The tacos weren't bad, but there was SO MUCH ginger-garlic sauce, and the sauce paired with the pineapple was way too tangy for my taste. The sweet potato fries were good -- perfectly crispy and hot, maybe a little too salty but overall fine when dipped in ketchup. I had the jasmine rice to go with my fish sandwich and it was just ok. They should offer a a type of gravy or something over their rice. And the rice was a little old it had become gummy and hard in spots. Our server, Peyton, was so nice but slow. It was not that busy in the sit down restaurant portion. When we ordered our food the server asked what type of drinks we wanted, we told her. She could have told us the drinks were not part of the meals. We received our bill and saw the charge. Let's be clear, the ambiance of the place is spot on. There's a bunch of Hawaiian decorations from native flowers, architecture, and even ukuleles hanging on the wall! Unless you were privy to the information prior (which you probably are), you would have never guessed that this Hawaiian themed restaurant was a unique twist on Chick-fil-A when just looking at the place at a quick glance. Our server was very friendly, patient, and took the time to explain the menu to us. The service was a bit slow and it seemed like they were a bit understaffed at least on the floor/dining in experience, but our server was great given the circumstances! The food. What is sad is that the food was actually not bad! The tropical nuggets were definitely the standout for me. Although the concept was simple, the sauced nuggets were very flavorful and still different than just dunking your usual Chick-fil-A nuggets into some Polynesian sauce. The sauce was different, on theme, and paired well with your standard Chick-fil-A nuggets and I couldn't ask for anything more on that front... However, I also ordered the Citrus Chicken Meal and was sadly disappointed. It comes with 2 sides in which I ordered the veggies and sweet potato fries (the fries were actually really good and somewhat saved the dish for me tbh). But the chicken...my God the portion was laughable. I got a piece of chicken about the size of my palm and I honestly couldn't believe it. The chicken itself looked like it MIGHT be enough to cut up 8 nugget pieces which is crazy when you remember that this is marketed as a full entree. The 2 sides take up most of the plate which baffles me as to why they didn't just add a 2nd piece of chicken in place of one of the sides but I don't know. What sucks is that the chicken was not bad! Nothing to write home about but it is just so disappointing that there was barely any chicken that came with the meal. The atmosphere was great, the food on a flavor standpoint was good, I just wish there was more, both literally and metaphorically. Sweet potato fries and tropical nuggets definitely saved the experience for me and I highly recommend ordering those things. But overall, sitting down at Truett's Luau and being immersed in all the decor really makes you think you're going to have an amazing, Hawaiian themed meal but instead just gives you a little taste of what you were expecting and just leaves you wanting a little bit more. read more

needed a quick bite and wanted to try truett's luau for the first time in years. love it here because they serve fish and i don't eat chicken much any more. decided to sit inside so that i could get some work done and the server was super sweet and attentive. the ambiance felt very hawaiian with greenery and such inside. i ordered the fish sandwich with sweet potato fries and lots of sauce. also had a cranberry limeade situation. yum! read more

Food: I had the mahi mahi tacos, the sweet potato waffle fries, and the cranberry lemonade. I'd say everything was solid - fish was a little dry, but the avocado ranch on it was great! Sweet potato fries with Chick Fil-A sauce I think is a must have at this place and they were crunchy! Too many restaurants you order anything sweet potato and it comes out soggy with no crunch to it. The cranberry lemonade was good, but not amazing. Service: the line inside and out were a mile long it felt like. I'm not sure this place is a good pick for a casual lunch break where you're trying to get in and out in a timely manner - with that being said the team here is great! No less than three team members offered to assist me when I was looking for the pick up area and one of the managers asked my name and told me he'd bring my order to me at the entrance of the store so I wouldn't have to fight the crowd. Chick Fil-A service is a cut above for fast food. They are the best, and here is no different. Price: it was $21 even which I thought was decent. On a day where I had more time and could sit down at the restaurant side I'd say it would've been totally justified. Good experience, but crowds at lunch when I'm trying to get in and out make this a risky venture for me. I'll come back when I know I have some free time and it's ok if it takes a minute. read more

Loved the nice welcoming & chill environment. Unique menu added to your classic options at Chick-fil-a We loved the tropical nuggets with pineapple fried rice. We got all three of their sauces unique to them (Luau, tropical & volcano) The volcano was our favorite of the three with the perfect sweet spice. We weren't a fan of the Luau Burger but we would definitely try other things. Lastly we got two shakes. One pineapple macadamia & one cookies & cream. We got to send out post cards in exchange for a free shake :) that was fun LoL Overall a fun little experience! read more

Me and my parents came for breakfast on a Monday morning. It was not crowded at all, and we were seated immediately. I was excited to learn that the Hawaiian breakfast was served all day, but the usual breakfast (biscuits and chicken minis) ends at 10:30am. My mom and I ordered the macadamia nut and banana pancakes with bacon while my dad ordered the sausage skillet. The pancakes were really good and not too sweet, but they were a little overdone on the bottom. My dad really enjoyed the skillet breakfast, especially the gravy it was covered in. Overall, we had a great first experience, and I'm looking forward to trying more food items in the future. read more
