chicken pineapple tacos and sweet potato fries
Sarah W.

This place had been on my husbands bucket list for a while, and we finally had the chance to stop in on a recent trip. Very cool themed chick fil a, feels very tropical, barely can tell it's a chick fil a. The food was good, not the best tacos i've ever had but definitely tasty. Loved the sweet potato fries! The highlight for me was the frosted pineapple--tasted almost like a dole whip slushy, SO good!! Fun vibes, good service, glad we made the stop.

Truett's Luau is a fun and very unique Chick-Fil-A property in Fayetteville, GA (about 45 minutes outside of Atlanta). The restaurant has a table service side and a counter service side. The Chick-Fil-A staples are on the menu, but there are some really interesting Hawaiian-themed dishes as well. On our trip, we ate on the counter service side and tried the Mahi tacos, chicken and pineapple tacos, sweet potato fries and the fruity frozen drinks. The atmosphere is lovely with indoor and outdoor seating. There are tropical touches throughout. The outdoor seating space is particularly pretty. The staff is amazing...operating under the Chick-Fil-A standard in customer service!

I've been trying to visit as many of the fun Chick-fil-A locations around Atlanta as I can, so I was really excited to check out the luau-themed one. The theming inside was a lot of fun and definitely made it feel different from a typical Chick-fil-A. I ordered the pineapple macadamia nut milkshake, and it was hands down my favorite thing I had, it was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, it took a while before I could even try it because the server forgot to bring straws and then forgot again when he went to get more. For food, I ordered the mahi mahi platter. The mixed vegetables were very salty, with a strong soy sauce flavor, the mahi mahi itself was good. The fried was a bit bland. I also tried the island chicken nuggets, which were flavorful and enjoyable. I did ask the server for the other specialty sauces for thenlocation to try out, but they never came back after the food was delivered. Even after our meal we had been waiting for about 20 minutes before finding another server to check out with. Overall, I'm glad I went and experienced it, especially for the fun theme and the milkshake. However, with the service issues and the drive, it wouldn't be worth going out of my way to visit a second time.

This Chick-fil-A absolutely lives up to the hype. The Hawaiian-inspired menu items are honestly the star.. It's fresh, flavorful, and a fun twist you don't get at regular locations. I really wish this version of Chick-fil-A was available everywhere, because the unique flavors make it feel like a special treat every time. The service was just as impressive. Super friendly, fast, and welcoming, even during busy hours. The restaurant was clean, and the food came out hot and perfectly put together. Wish there were more food items you can order to go, as there is a bigger menu if you dine in.

Everything was cool about our experience. Truett's Luau is located in Fayetteville about a 45 minute ride for us, but we had to go back for the inside dining. Upon arrival we were great by a young man play a small guitar, too cute! Loved that entrance! We were seated right away but out waitress didnt show up until about 5 mins later. She wasnt the warmest to speak with and she was that attentive, like we could tell her day wasnt going well. But we made the best of it. I ordered Pineapple Chicken Tacos-Two tender chicken tacos topped with our signature spicy sauce and pineapples. Topped with our tangy slaw $12.85 with a side of sweet potato fries. Which is a premium side amand we had to pay a different of a $1 and change. For my deink I had to have the Frosted Hawaiian $4.69 but worth every penny! Its a combination of punch, ice cream and something else I cant put my fingers on. Lol Hubby had the hawaiian burger with waffle fries. We love this place and will most definitely come back because the hawiian feel is throughout this restaurant and I think the Chickfila family did a great job on the concept! Thanks CFA. SYOY

Finally made it here! This spot has been on my "to visit" list forever. The place is so cute! My milkshake was a 10/10, the food was great, and the service was good. We went on a Monday night, and it wasn't too busy. I definitely need to come back to try more items on the menu!

I have been wanting to check this place out for ages it always find myself going through the area on Sunday! This time we made it happen though and it was a fun experience. We chose the sit-down option and tried a bit of everything. The wonton nachos with Kahlua pork were the star of the show for everyone. Loaded and delish, a practically perfect bite. 12/10. I got the pineapple chicken tacos with both sweet potato waffle fries and the roasted potatoes. This all fell short for me, the tacos had three tiny pieces of pineapple each which is definitely not enough considering the name. Flavor and texture was good, maybe. 6.5/10. The fries were dry and over cooked. 5/10. Roasted potatoes were season less and didn't get eaten. 2/10. My niece had the cod tacos and she devoured them, 10/10 according to her. She upgraded her side to the pineapple fried rice and again, the pineapple was missing. Very dry as well. Disappointed us all tbh. 3/10. My mom got the chicken salad sandwich with fried rice, she liked it but said homemade is better. 6/10. My sister got some chicken with stir fry veggies and likes it but wouldn't order it again. The veggies were really good though, I would get those in the future. We also had a frosted Hawaiian and a frosted pineapple and they were both aesthetically pleasing and delicious. Our waitress was incredible and very patient as we took a while to decide what to order. The atmosphere is what you come for though and it didn't disappoint! I'm glad to have finally been able to stop in!

A Hawaiian twist in your classic Chick-fil-A! The decor was so cute! They have everything your typical CFA has but you need to try the exclusive things! I had the luau burger and we tried the sweet potato waffle fries they were really great. I also had the pineapple white chocolate macadamia shake and it was good until the end where my tough started to get raw but over I would definitely be back to get the tacos!!

A little bit of paradise in Fayetteville . What a great place to have breakfast . They have excellent pancakes with banana and macadamia nut inside. The tropical nuggets are tasty as well. Mahi is a great choice if you looking for something different . Our server gave service with a smile. The ambiance is like a Hawaiian chicken shack with down home flavors. We will be back!!!!

The essence of chick fil a was not present in my dine-in experience. Waited 5 mins at the host stand just to be acknowledged, then waited 5 mins again to be sat. Service was lackluster, presumably by a bunch of students not motivated to deliver the speed & efficiency that the restaurant brand is known for. My meal, while looking visually appealing, was a frozen flavorless filet with too sweet rice & too salty veggies. The decor was nice and perhaps the traditional food offerings would be up to standard, but wouldn't make the 30 mins trek off the interstate for it.

Volcano nuggets and nacho fries!

Had another great experience! The consistency is great. They didn't have lei necklaces or free post cards anymore which is sad. The nachos are amazing.. get the nachos! The theme is obviously very fun, the prettiest chick fil a in the country. The pineapple and macadamia nut milkshake is bomb.

Truett's Luau is the Hawaiian themed Chick-fil-A offshoot. You'll find many traditional faves but also new offerings and takes on classics. The restaurant is a sit down one appearing to be first come first serve. The menu offers tacos, burgers, salads, sides and a breakfast option in the morning. We tried the fried rice, sweet potato fries, pork and chicken tacos, and an ice cream smoothie like drink(yummy). Overall it was fine just very salty. Very much liked the volcano sauce. Serves were friendly.

WOWIE MAUI AT TRUETT'S LUAU | I've had this one on my Atlanta bucket list and it did not disappoint! Seriously the cutest chickfila theme in the country, for sure. They serve Hawaiian themed breakfast and items exclusive to this location only! It's also fun to walk around the restaurant and non-dining areas of the luau, including interactive exhibits and a spacious outdoor patio. We arrived around 9:40am on a Saturday morning and it was busy - because obviously, chickfila breakfast reigns supreme versus other fast food breakfast options. We were one of the first tables to be seated - and we started with some very un-breakfasty drinks - including bubble tea (peach tea with mango popping bubbles), the frosted Hawaiian and the frosted Pineapple. All were tasty, but my favorite was the frosted Pineapple. Would definitely order again. The bubble tea isn't truly authentic but was a pleasant surprise to find on the menu, regardless. I love Chick-n-Minis so of course I had to try the Tropical Chick-n-Minis, which were basically just regular chick n minis dipped in Polynesian sauce. Am i complaining? No but it did feel a little silly paying $0.90 more for them. It comes with grits and two eggs any way. We also split the Banana Macadamia Nut Pancakes, the Loco Moco, the Hawaiian Bread Pudding, and after waiting for lunch time to start, we ordered the Luau Fish Sandwich. I was a bit disappointed in some of the entrees, especially after coming back from Hawaii just several months before - but overall, if I hadn't know what I was missing, it's still a fun and different menu from the typical chickfila. The Luau Fish Sandwich was great since they had stopped serving it for Lent after a few years of testing them in the market. Overall, I would 100% come back to Truett's Luau if it were closer. It's definitely a must stop if you are done touring the stereotypical Atlanta sites and want something different and unique to Atlanta.

Is dine-in service available for this location right now?

Not quite! We will keep you updated via social media!

I don't get the deal here, am I missing something? These Truett places are still just Chick fila's right? Same food but you pretend it's a restaurant. I don't get the infatuation, it's a chicken sandwich and fries.

No, its not. You obviously didnt go in.

Friends were meeting here and I was intrigued. Interesting reviews and pictures…read more So decided to get there early and was not disappointed, except for one thing and it was kind of understandable. What I loved... The cute and engaging decor, very bright and colorful. I found a new favorite donut with their gluten-free red velvet. Moist and delicious Their signature dish of the egg on top of the hash browns was yum. Yum. The chunks of potatoes are crispy and the eggs were cooked just right. There was enough hash browns there that I saved some and cooked more eggs the next day at home Although my husband didn't like his scrambled eggs because he says they were as flat and not fluffy. And they were not very busy when we arrived and had additional staff come in as their peak hour approached around 9:00. The gal that was doing it all had to stop and make coffee and I think she rushed it a little bit because it wasn't hot and it was bitter... She gladly warmed it up for me and when she topped it off it wasn't as bitter

I ordered the AG Power Plate with Two folded or fried eggs*, grilled chicken breast, avocado, tomato, vinaigrette, and dill. Anda coffee. My favorite part of the restaurant is their airy dining room, large windows and sunlight.
