TruSmile is a special place. I first came here many years ago, and what always stuck with me was how well everyone treated me. The staff genuinely seemed happy to be there, and that positive atmosphere made the whole experience enjoyable. I came back today after all these years, and somehow they were even better than I remembered. They were on time, organized, incredibly friendly, and, most importantly, honest. I was actually interested in doing more orthodontic treatment, but after reviewing my 3D scan, they explained that any additional treatment would be unnecessary. They could have easily recommended more treatment, but instead told me it simply wasn't needed and clearly showed me why that is the case. That kind of honesty is rare. I almost never write reviews, but I felt this one was deserved. While I was there, I spoke with a few other patients who had driven quite a distance for their appointments. After today's visit, I completely understand why. Great healthcare providers are hard to find these days. Amazing Orthodontist. I got braces during Covid to fix my snaggle tooth in the bottom teeth. Got the clear ones. You could barely see them. (You could feel them)...everyone is so helpful and friendly. I think I wore them for 19 months. When they came off, it was a glorious day just to feel my teeth again was amazing. So of course you have to wear a retainer to maintain that new smile. I got the retainer assurance plan, which is why I'm here today because I lost my retainers...again. I think you get up to seven retainers over like eight years or something. This is the second time I've used it. I might have like a year or two left, but it's been amazing to be able to stop in and order another set. Everybody on staff is absolutely amazing. The office is so clean so modern with the latest technology. This is the place you want to go if you want your teeth straight and they whiten teeth here they have payment plans that work for everybody's budget. Cannot recommend enough! read more

Where do I begin!??? I absolutely LOVE Dr. Z and his team!!! This is my second time in life getting braces. First time was only 6 months with my dad's insurance in high school. It was not the best experience. Not nearly as thorough as Dr. Z. I found Dr.Z through yelp and the reviews did not lie. From the moment I stepped in the office it felt like family. I never felt like a number or just a last name. From the front office personnel to the dental assistants they all seem to genuinely care. In the duration of having my braces with them I've had a nice relationship with almost every employee there! I genuinely couldn't wait to see them. Catch up on their life and same with me. I HAD TMJ pretty bad before this and Dr. Z didn't promise it would've fixed. It just so happened that I went from a level 10 ok the pain scale to a 0. My face use to be in excruciating pain. I am forever grateful for the detail work Dr. Z does. He made the experience so special for me. If it were up to me I would've neverrrr ever taken my braces off lol! One in part because I loved them so much and so I could continue to see everyone. If you're thinking of getting braces or Invisalign please come to TruSmile and get a consult. 5 stars for the consultation, with a bit of a deduction for too many pre-appointment reminders! I came in for a free consultation because my teeth have shifted a bit since I had braces. Every staff member I interacted with was extremely friendly and welcoming. They did two x-rays (panoramic and cephalometric - side profile), took several photos of my smile, and then did a 3D scan of my smile that was generated virtually. They had cool AI software that showed what your smile would look like before and after treatment. It was a very high tech and educational experience. Kayla was extremely positive, personable, and friendly. We chatted for a while waiting for Dr. Zamani and she even shared some life advice. Dr. Zamani was also great - he answered all of my questions and explained the treatment plan clearly. I didn't feel rushed as I have before with other dental care providers. In many ways it felt more like a spa experience than an orthodontics consultation. I felt like they were truly invested in my wellbeing and in making the treatment plan the best it could be. All this being said, unfortunately orthodontics treatment is quite expensive, and I learned at the consultation that my insurance plan doesn't cover any part of it, so I won't be moving forward with treatment at this time. For ~12 months of Invisalign for minor smile adjustments, it was $6250. They do have monthly payment plans for up to 18 months (for this specific treatment timeline) and there is no interest, which is nice. If you decide to start the process same day you get a $250 discount. I asked if I could get partial braces but they didn't recommend that. I wish I got an estimate for the different types of braces as I bet Invisalign is the most expensive of all the options. I had hoped that since they were relatively minor tweaks it would be cheaper than someone who had never had braces before, but I guess not! My main critique is about the pre-appointment process. I scheduled an appointment online, and then got an email asking for information (much of which I had already entered online when booking the appointment). I got multiple phone calls, text messages, and emails. I found it funny that after all the reminders I got in the weeks leading up to the appointment, I did not get a same day reminder (which is probably the most critical one to get). I think they should consider implementing a fee for no shows like other clinics do, instead of reminding people multiple times. Ultimately I am grateful for the free consultation as it validated a lot of my concerns and helped me get an idea of the correct treatment plan. When I can afford it, I would definitely go back to TruSmile and recommend it to friends. Thank you very much! read more

After a year of going to Dr. Zamani, I can say, I had a wonderful experience at this clinic. I started my treatment a year ago because I had retainers from a previous treatment but noticed my teeth were not as straight as I'd like them to be. Dr. Zamani was very thorough and clear about the expectations of my treatment. He was able to remove my previous permanent retainers, and provide a plan for me to follow at home. Even though Invisalign is dependent on how patients continue their care at home, the clinic was extremely supportive with all my questions every step of the way. Excellent care and customer service, some of the staff basically watched my daughter grow up! When searching for braces for my daughter, I went to two different offices. One office was cheaper but I decided I'd rather pay a little more for the quality experience that Trusmile provided my daughter and I. At the end of the day, I think I actually saved money because Dr Zamani is a perfectionist, I had paid off my daughter's full treatment plan and she still was seen many times until he was satisfied with her smile and bite. I never felt like I was left with any unanswered questions. Sometimes we had to wait a bit to be seen but typically we were seen quickly. There are a lot of friendly staff in the office, but Kash was our absolute favorite. She is so knowledgeable, kind, caring, and has the best energy. True smile Orthodontics has requested that I write them a review so here it goes. I did not spend too much time with them, but for the three visits I had with them, they were pretty decent. And I appreciate how they accepted my HIPAA and other authorization releases in place of their own, as of all entities are required to adhere to according to the HIPAA Privacy Rule, etc. The patient is not obligated to sign their forms in addition tot he patients own form. The thing I was impressed with the most was how they made my Invisalign retainer within less than 24 hours! I was able To pick the next day, unlike other places that make you wait weeks and then have more delays! There was a slight complication with the original one made where it didn't cover my whole back molar but the attitude was very professional and they immediately made me a better retainer to make sure that it fit properly and covered all teeth. When I came back for the third time the following day around my inundated schedule, they happily made a better one. Everybody including as well the staff and doctor were very well-behaved and ready to serve me. My only observation was perhaps not getting a response from office manager(s)after I emailed them quite a few times. I was needing to get a confirmation response that they received the emails and are trying to resolve all questions/comments addressed in the emails before getting the service. When running a business, the urgency to communicate well and readily to customers is key. It is important to not ignore customers in the least bit of way when the customer is reaching out in any way and any mode possible (email, phone, etc.). Also keeping in mind how to not make customers repeat their requests more than once or at the most, sometimes, twice. But overall a solid experience, so far. I appreciate how excuses were not made to justify any unprofessional/undesirable behaviors when interacting with customers. Thank you for my retainer and the reasonable price ! Sooooooo, I had the worst underbite known to man. And after being told "get jaw surgery that's all that can help you." I got into their office cause someone canceled and they told me they were 75% sure they can fix my bite. I did traditional braces at the bottom and Invisalign at the top. Everyone at the front office and staff through out the years have been the best and so accommodating. It took just two years to fix my bite and everyone THINKS I had surgery. This office cares about their clients and isn't looking to just take money from you. I may have purposely not wore my retainer to come back more often to just see everyone ... jk. I'm a grown-up now, but had regular braces as a teenager many years ago. And wearing retainers kept them straight for decades. Then, when my retainers broke at the beginning of 2020 [the pandemic], I was stuck at home and stopped wearing them for over a year, and my teeth shifted. :( So I went to TruSmile to get a new set of retainers and see if it was a good idea to try to re-straighten my lower teeth. I just completed my treatment, using the custom aligners that were made in-house, and I'm so happy with my smile! I'm glad I took the time to fix my lower teeth before getting new retainers. Go with a different provider. Or if you have to go with this provider, only use corporate branded services, do not use their custom aligners. My service with them at first was frustrating, but i left feeling at least neutral to slightly positive. They quoted a time frame for my teeth, my teeth were barely out of shape. The treatment was supposed to be 6 months. On multiple visits, their custom printed aligners were printed incorrectly. They had to manually alter the bottom aligners, which affected the integrity of the aligner, ultimately not shifting the bottom teeth. I called this to their attention more than three times before they took action to correct this. On top of that they gave pushback on the treatment despite their mistake. I had originally planned to leave a mildly positive review for my service, until I was sent a bill over $500.00. I immediately sent the bill to our health insurance service, to verify if the chargers were in fact legitimate and owed. During this dispute process, they charged my card without my consent. Causing me to have to change my card information. The health insurance service, then updated me that I had infact overpaid for what my obligation was based on the insurance. So not only did they charge me without consent and send me a large bill, it turns out I had already overpaid past what my insurance said was my financial responsibility based on the services provided. Again, from their custom aligners. My insurance changed after what was my final appointment, they were aware of this. I had requested to have my treatment ended and whatever needed to happen to end since the treatment went well over a year when it was quoted at 6 months. At the time they were amiable, but apparently not since I was sent a large bill despite their mistake. I truly believe they are taking advantage of knowing my insurance changed, as this is a clause in their billing contract. However my plan was ended before the insurance change took place. I'm still actively in dispute with them via the third party health insurance assistance service. I would have been fine having paid what I had paid, if they had not sent a large bill months after my treatment had ended, and after their mistakes creating an extended care duration. Then to find out I had been overcharged on what was already paid, and to find out they are attempting to bill for more is incredibly disappointing. I would check other locations first. Their offices are nice, and their staff is nice, but the business practices need work. I feel bad for people who don't have access to the health insurance assistance services and don't know theyre being taken advantage of or falling prey to predatory billing. read more

Premier Ortho in West La / Culver City! Pros: cannot speak highly enough of the quality of work this office does. The Dr. is very knowledgeable and educated in his practice. This center also has the ability to create custom aligners made specifically for their clients. The doctor (Dr. Zamani) spends generous amount of time with each patient carefully providing his feedback on the specifics of their work and the upkeep needed for post visit and routine checkins. Trusmile staff also keeps up with all patients with their necessary upkeep and revisit schedule. Ultimately tru smile is a win win for patients. I am 36 years old and had traditional braces TWICE as a child. My teeth were "perfect" back then, but they started shifting about 10 years ago, due to a car accident. I had started grinding my teeth as a result of the accident, my teeth started shifting! I have a ton of family in the dental industry (none locally), so I knew my teeth were going to get worse as time went on, if I didn't do something about it. That's when I found Dr. Zamani with TruSmile in Culver City. I live in Orange County, so it's a bit of a drive for me, but getting the best doctor was definitely worth it! TruSmile made "custom aligners" for me and it's been a 'walk in the park' compared to what I endured as a child with traditional braces (i.e. brackets to push my tongue back; multiple extractions at a time; neck gear; expander on the roof of my mouth; rubber bands; the need for wax or mouth-guards to protect from injury, etc.) YOU NAME IT, I'VE HAD IT WHEN IT COMES TO ORTHODONTICS!
