Came here for my regular cleaning, which typically is with Shannon (who's fantastic) but this time it was with John! John was very thorough, kind, listened to me blabber (even with dental tools in my mouth) and gave incredible food recommendations for my upcoming trip to San diego w/ my wife! I quite literally fell asleep during the teeth cleaning. Rolls Royce treatment. I drive here all the way from Orange County because i know i'm getting the best by the best for the best! We came to this office because of only 5 star reviews. I would have to say I do not trust reviews anymore and most of these I believe are not true. When we first started we had Dr. Fung once who pushed us to another dentist which we said ok but he shouldn't of done that. We believe the new dentist had less patients and was newer. She filled a couple of cavities did a terrible job and insisted I had multiple cavities. It took over an hour for that the two cavities on the same tooth. I was in pain for 3 weeks after. Never had anything like this from other dentists. Fast forward, New dentist said I don't have all those cavities after taking new x-rays. Also they have very hard wooden benches no backs in there waiting room. Very uncomfortable. I would suggest normal cushioned chairs for patients. I am sorry to say I do not trust these reviews or this office. This is a true review. read more

Dr. Dalit is a kind, empathetic human being who genuinely cares about her patients and wants to get to know you as a person. - great listener - very good with nervous people. nothing but understanding and supportive. - when I first came I hadn't been to a dentist in years and years (maybe a decade) and she was totally nonjudgmental about it - referred me to an amazing oral surgeon for my wisdom teeth removal. She also checked in multiple times afterward to see how I was doing! - definitely the most thorough dental exams I've had, but gentle! I have recommended her to my friends already, and I would recommend her to anyone! 5 stars isn't enough!! The hygienists there have also been great! Shannon made me feel relaxed and chatted with me (but also knew how to not ask you questions that you can't answer when she's doing stuff in your mouth, haha), and I can't remember who the other hygienist I've seen was, but she was great too, very thorough, and answered all my questions. read more

SBD was very understanding, friendly, and professional - didn't make me feel bad, explained the plan thoroughly so I knew what we were doing moving forward, and made me feel incredibly comfortable. I was in need of a good dentist after recently moving down to LA and I'm so glad to have found Dr. Fung. The office itself is immaculate with the latest technology. Checking in as a new patient was very straightforward and I appreciated my hygienist's professionalism throughout the process of taking radiographs and pictures. I've been looking for a new dentist near the culver city area and I'm excited to say I think I found one! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel very comfortable. The office is clean and new with very contemporary styling (their heart wall in the lobby was a cool touch - very instagramable!). Their chairs are comfortable and they had netflix to keep me entertained throughout my visit. During my visit I saw Dr. Dalit and she was such a pleasure to be around - I would highly recommend her. She was extremely knowledgable/professional and walked me through my comprehensive exam with a lot of detail. She was very easy going and went to great lenghts to make me feel comfortable. I've been searching for a new dentist and am happy to say that I finally found a good one. The place is a health spa. From the amazing office and excellent staff (literally the nicest staff ever for a dentist office!) to the cutting edge technology. I get 4 cleanings a year and you bet yourself I'm going to use them all. The dental hygienist is probably one of the better ones I've had, and they were careful to explain everything and definitely took a lot of the guessing out of the whole process, which after so many years of life you would think somebody would have told me some of these things. During the cleaning you can also watch the netflix show of your choice! Nice way to keep your mind off the actual scraping. Dr Lawrence was also very awesome. Told me some not so good news about a loose crown and he also let me know that there is a cavity on the surface of one of my teeth, but he wouldn't recommend doing an actual fill at this point in time since we could probably treat it with fluoride. Honest! I like it. Anyways, this place is great. Also, just be careful where you park, the lot attached is $$$ so if you don't have a flex account that you can get your parking back from then you should probably park in their other lot across the street. read more

After two years of living in LA, I finally made myself break up my long distance relationship with my dentist in Ohio. I found Silicon Beach Dental on Yelp and am so glad I did! Their office is conveniently located to me and they accept my insurance (Assurant) which was a great start. On top of that, all of their employees are helpful and friendly. The office itself is cool and modern, and while I prefer to stay "in the moment", the option to watch Netflix during your appointment is awesome! My hygienist, Jackie, completely exceeded my expectations. It felt like hanging out with a good friend who was also a dental professional! I personally love to learn about every detail of what they are doing and she explained everything for me. They also took professional pictures of my mouth which were really interesting to see and go through in detail with to have a full understanding of possible areas of concern. I did end up paying out of pocket for x-rays ($75) and fluoride ($25) but that's just because I have very basic insurance. It was definitely worth the investment to be pro-active with my health and to have current x-rays to use as reference for future appointments. Currently due to COVID, they are not polishing teeth, which is totally understandable. While I would love the extra shine, they did a very thorough job with scraping. They also have you swish with a hydrogen peroxide rinse before they examine you mouth to kill germs, which once again, makes total sense to keep the employees safe. I will recommend Silicon Beach Dental to anyone I know looking for a dentist and I plan to stay with them as long as I live here. read more

Dr. Fung was very straight forward with what was needed to do with my dental upkeep. His staff is very welcoming and personable. I love the high tech feel of the office and the comfort level that is provided based on the atmosphere. While the office isn't the easiest to find, it's well worth the minor journey. Dr. Fung and his staff were amazing from beginning to end! When I first stepped in, I actually thought I was in the wrong place because it looked more like a spa than a dental office. And it's not just for show: the whole atmosphere really puts you at ease. They seem to take a very holistic approach and they recognize that when you feel relaxed and comfortable from the beginning it makes the entire experience better. Very unique. I scheduled for the dental check up and cleaning together on the website. That's another thing, it's great that you can make appointments online over the website which is super convenient. Dr. Fung was also awesome, super detail oriented. He took detailed photos of my teeth so that we could keep track of how they look, staining, etc. I've never had a dentist that detail oriented before. But I haven't found one in LA since moving here over 2 years ago. I've asked friends but no one was in love with their dentist. FRIENDS, I have found our solution. Dr. Fung aka Lawrence. Referred to me by a friend. I made a last minute appointment (urgent need for the dentist! was worried about some teeth sensitivity) and they were able to squeeze me in today. They also verified my insurance prior to my arrival (I only made the appointment 3 hours prior, talk about efficiency... Shoutout Veronica!) I arrive. Nespresso machine on deck. Instagram wall with super cute TEETH chairs? check. Big 'Hello!' on the front desk wall? ugh, check. Good vibe music playing? check. Really great first impressions! I jokingly texted my sister how I was in a 'very LA dentist office'. Dr. Fung reviewed my x-ray, very personable, energetic, and friendly. He did what no other dentist have ever done for me... He talked to me about the anatomy of my teeth, why I am feeling symptoms, what he suggest I do about it (without pushing any products on me!) he was also very transparent about the pricing of certain procedures and did not make me feel pressured at all. He even offered to send my impressions for a night guard to my sister for *free* so she could make me one. How kind right??? Anyways, very clean, very chic office. TV screen with netflix available at your chair. I got the cutest "goodie bag from the dentist" when I left - a sustainable cloth bag, with a bamboo toothbrush, floss in a box made of coconut, beeswax chapstick and activated charcoal toothpaste. Came here to get my teeth cleaned recently, Dr. Lawrence and his team are rockstars!!! From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and was offered some coffee and water, I waited a couple minutes and was then called in right away for my cleaning appointment. I really appreciate not having to wait a long time, everyone's time is valuable and they definitely take this into consideration. The cleaning was very thorough and painless! The office was extremely clean and lively with a lot of nice artwork all over the office. I was able to watch my favorite show on Netflix while getting my cleaning done. The dentist's office, its the stuff of nightmares. It's always been important for me to feel comfortable and trust/respect my dentist or else I just don't go. So it helps when you step into an extremely friendly office thats well organized, spotlessly clean, but feels warm and relaxing. The two girls at the front desk, Veronica and Sydney, got pretty nice smiles (probably why they work in a dental office) and were very inviting. Veronica contacted me a week and a day before my appointment to remind me which is helpful because I don't remember anything. They offered fancy water/coffee too. Paperwork was a breeze as they were super on top of it. 10/10 front of house. I had to get the full new patient routine of xrays and a mold among other things. Betty, the dental assistant, was hilarious and made the entire thing quick and painless. 10/10 dental assistant and would watch her on a Netflix comedy special. Dr. Fung came by afterwards and gave me the breakdown of whats going on in my mouth. From a technical standpoint, he's very knowledgable and fluid/gentle with his hands. Unlike other dentists I've had, he didn't automatically tell me I have a million cavities and need a whole new mouth. From a personal standpoint, he's very friendly, charming, and funny. Theres a reason he's in commercials and Youtube videos. I trust him to accurately diagnose and execute on whatever my oral health requires. 10/10. I also have done two cleanings at SBD. Alexandra and Alyssa were both gentle but meticulous. I don't think they missed a single microbe. They're probably biologically engineered with microscopes for eyes and robot muscles because they're also super strong and didn't get tired. Def stronger than me. Also, if being told to floss is something you enjoy, you'll never leave the office. 10/10. I'm so incredibly disappointed in this practice. I have referred so many friends to Silicon Beach Dental over the years because of how friendly and helpful the office staff was along with how great Dr. Fung is. I had an appointment for a cleaning scheduled for February 5th of this year. On February 1st, it became very clear my dad wasn't doing well so I called to cancel several days ahead of time as he ended up passing away a few days later. When I rebooked a time and called to confirm, they said they didn't even have me on the schedule, they then re booked me for a time that wasn't convenient for me without checking in for that same day. When I called, they canceled it but it required so much back and forth and I was not happy with how the entire experience went. It left a bad taste in my mouth so I called this morning to cancel my appointment for tomorrow. I used to think this was worth driving 40 miles for, and now I no longer do. When I called to cancel, they told me that even though I was giving over 24 hours notice, they'd be charging me a $75 cancellation fee because it was my 2nd cancellation of the year. Really? I told you at my February cancellation (4 days in advance) that it was because of my father's ailing health and then I had to cancel an appointment I didn't even book! It's ridiculous and when I said that there were no condolences, no apologies, just a "let me ask the doctor." Then when the person came back on, she said they wouldn't charge me the fee as if I should be so fortunate and not that they were just doing the basic human normal thing. If you want a practice that treats you horribly then come here, but otherwise go elsewhere. read more

I normally do not write a lot of reviews, but given my overall terrible experience with OTHER dentist offices, I feel this is definitely warranted. My experience here as been nothing less than amazing. To provide color around my experience, I had a cleaning done and a cracked crown replaced. Lawrence is great and does a lot to explain everything he is doing without the constant upsell. I feel in my past experiences, I've always been constantly upsold on services without full context as to why I need them. Coming to this practice, Lawrence does more than needed to provide the context and educate me in why I need certain things. Staff is great and extremely friendly, Lawrence is knowledgeable and does great follow up to check on his patients, and making appointments has been easy. A lot of my pain points with other dentists have been addressed here and as long as I'm in LA, this is the practice I'll be staying with. read more

Hands down our best dental experience ever. And considering we're senior citizens, that's saying a lot. Dr. Fung and his dental hygienist Alexandra were highly recommended by a family member. We both had avoided going to the dentist because of poor experiences. Mostly over selling the need. But we were both experiencing issues that required dental care. We are so pleased we made the 2 hour drive. Yes, 2 hours. My husband and I both had appointments. He had a broken crown and I needed a deep cleaning and a troublesome crown checked. My husband is not easily impressed, especially when it comes to dentists, but he says Dr. Fung was honest, thorough and competent. He appreciated the fact that Dr. Fung addressed his concerns and didn't try to oversell him. He also enjoyed dental assistant, Betty, who made him feel at ease. Now about my deep cleaning. I have had numerous deep cleanings in my lifetime. Dr. told me that Alexandra has a light touch. I totally agree. A last-minute cancellation allowed her to complete my entire deep cleaning in one visit. With topical numbing, I experienced no major discomfort either during the procedure or after. She was very thorough in my post instructions including coaching me on better dental hygiene for the future. Lastly, I'm going to venture to say this is unlike any dental office you will have ever visited. It doesn't feel, sound or smell like one. The waiting room is small which indicates they take care of their patients in a timely manner. I saw no one waiting when we came in nor when we left. And yet everyone was busy. We both have to return for further treatment. This is the first time we are actually looking forward to going back to a dentist. Kudos, Silicon Dental. read more
