*UNPROFESSIONAL & DECEPTIVE* Summary: Dr. Sabbaghia and SmileOnDentistry filed and received insurance benefits on my behalf for a total of $2300 for services NOT rendered. Not only were services NOT performed, but Dr. Sabbaghia tried to get me to agree to these services without a comprehensive and thorough explanation. She tried to deceive me into getting treatment, and after I refused, she still filed an insurance claim. I found Dr. Sabbaghia on SmileOnDentistry by accident. And it was a terrible mistake. After one teeth cleaning, Dr. Sabbaghia recommended invisalign. I raised several concerns and yet she still recommended the service. Fast forward to the day of the first invisalign appointment, Dr. Sabbaghia was not present, but her assistant basically told me all the things I was concerned about were in fact true and that Dr. Sabbaghia should have done a better job explaining the entire process. I never proceeded with the service. Later that day Dr. Sabbaghia called me to apologize. I told her I would never be visiting again. I found out later that Dr. Sabbaghia submitted an insurance claim for services she never performed for $2300. read more

This is my second review for Smile On Dentistry. I previously wrote about my absolutely WONDERFUL experience with Dr. Ana and the staff for my extraction of my upper left molar. I am now writing about my experience with Invisalign. In these hard times, I had gotten laid off and lost my insurance that covered Smile On dental work, BUT I continued to pay out of pocket to see Dr.Ana and the staff because they are just THAT stellar!!! They never hesitate to provide discounts and are understanding of the financial crisis that the majority of us are in. Their willingness to work with patient's individual situation and provide access to the ABSOLUTE BEST (and I mean THEEEEEEE BEST) dental care is just beautiful. I can't even think about the words to express how I feel about their compassion and kindness. As for the Invisalign service...wow, just wow. I had completed my first round of treatment last year but my two front teeth began to slightly shift, and since I was qualified for the complimentary revision, they proceeded to do another round of treatment to correct the issue. Again, just WONDERFUL service!!! They paid close attention to my concerns, and addressed them promptly and precisely; while providing a warm and welcoming environment. I know the dentist is scary for some people, but going to Smile On literally feels like visiting friends. I had accidentally lost my retainers and Dr. Ana provided me a discount on replacements. Dr. Ana is an absolute genius and her staff are the absolute best I've ever worked with. Dr. Ana has also inspired me to practice good dental hygiene as part of my lifestyle, which all dentists try to do but rarely succeed. PLEASE do yourself a favor and visit this office. I moved back to the area right before COVID started and lockdowns were in order- Winter 2020. Already fearful of the dentist, I was hesitant to find a new one once I was settled especially amidst a global pandemic. Fast forward to November 2021 & it has now been almost four years since I've seen a dentist. Yikes!!! ... I know. Hence you can imagine how nervous I was when I entered Dr. Ramona's office just to find out that I had 4 cavities :( Obviously, this was a bit expected with my lack of bi-yearly cleanings, but what was not expected was Dr. Ramona's amazing care and comfort throughout my initial appointment. Not only did she provide a judge-free zone as I explained how low my pain tolerance was, but she also shared a personal story with me that made me feel like I wasn't the only one who acts like a baby when needles are near! After scheduling a date for my fillings, I left her office feeling accomplished. How many people can say that after leaving a dentist?! I went back today for my fillings, again very nervous. Dr. Ramona's greeted me with a smile and assured me that my mouth would be completely numb for the procedure. I thought, "yeah, okay that's what they all say," but I couldn't have been more wrong. I'm thrilled to say that "I am in absolutely zero pain after having four cavities filled!!" The staff at SmileOn Dentistry truly care about their patients & Dr. Ramona is a godsend! So, 5 stars for the great dentists here and for the front office management. Here's why: I am deeply frightened about tooth sensitivity and pain during dental work, and having interacted with both dentists here? I can vouch they are each brilliant dentists who know their medical science stuff AND still have the bandwidth to care if you're in pain or feeling sensitivity. They check-in with you during procedures and it makes me feel safe and secure about coming back. BUT here's the gravy - If your needs beyond cleaning and cavity care include needing cosmetic help? These doctors are as much artists as they are scientists, so talented making a beautiful healthy smile that FITS YOUR FACE and make you feel like a million bucks. Fortunately they don't charge a million bucks lol, but seriously -- trustworthy dental work is worth paying, and Dr. Ramona and Dr. Anna and their team are worth every bit. The front office manager Daisy is a no nonsense AND also very kind presence who cares about patients just like the doctors. Dr. Ana gives some of the best care I've received from a provider since moving to Los Angeles. I came to her after seeing two different dental providers who left me with more questions than answers. Dr. Ana immediately addressed my concerns in the first visit as well as called out some areas of concern and provided a treatment plan for those. Her bedside manner is best-in-class and she's able to clearly explain WHY she recommends her treatment and HOW she plans to address it in a way that any patient can understand. The only con is that wait times are typically long when you arrive to your appointment. I've found this is because Dr. Ana squeezes in all emergencies and will not let you leave her chair until the work is 100% perfect. I personally don't mind waiting an extra 20-30 minutes knowing the level of attention she provides to each patient is unmatched. Just keep this in mind when booking! read more

Poor quality work and no accountability Ana Sabaghian did 2 temporary crowns on my 2nd visit, and the work she did was horribly sub par. She left tons of adhesive all over my gumline I had to painfully scrape off when I got home, and left a hole in one of the crowns, so that food and bacteria were getting down into it causing me pain. When I went back for the permanent crowns on my next visit I tried to inform Ana at the time about her shoddy work, and the pain it had caused me, and I was completely ignored. There was no discussion, she didn't even stop what she was doing to prepare for the permanent crown install. She just brushed me off and seemed determined it would be fine to install the permanent crown over a tooth I had a lot of pain with. She had to numb me 3 different times just to be able to install the crown because I was in so much pain. Afterwards, she gave me a lecture about how I should have called sooner if I was in pain, so apparently her lack of professionalism and inability to perform her job correctly the first time is my fault, as the patient. I was in serious pain for over 2 weeks after this, could barely eat because this is the one side of my mouth I could actually eat on, and this tooth will now need a root canal, which is what I suspected when I went in for the permanents, after 2 weeks of bacteria getting into the hole in the temporary crown she installed. It seemed very much like this dentist can't take any accountability for herself and her work, and won't listen to a patient try to tell her she has made a mistake that has caused them pain, and re-evaluate her treatment plan. Her negligence and refusal to entertain the idea that she made a mistake is going to cost me thousands more dollars to get my tooth fixed properly. When I called to cancel all my appointments going forward Daisy at the front desk was pleasant and professional, as usual. It's too bad the person doing the expensive work on my teeth didn't have the same classy, compassionate demeanor. You couldn't pay me to ever get any work done at this office again after the way Ana treated me. Shame on you, Ana Sabaghian. read more

Great visit with Dr. Ana as 1st time patient! Not only was a full set of X-rays taken (not charged for those as a new patient!), but also photos of my teeth. Photos were awesome; I had a visual as Dr. Ana thoroughly explained my 2 issues. Never knew that composite fillings shrink over time & either need to be replaced with new composite or crown. Dr. spent time with me, not rushed! Returning for work I opted to have done, 2 crowns. Also, location in Marina del Rey so easy to access. Stay away! This dentist made major billing errors (either via negligence or fraud). I had an appointment for a routine exam and cleaning. When I saw my insurance Explanation of Benefits, they had added in four separate charges for "scaling and root planing", which I never received nor would I have authorized. They charged my insurance over $1200 for this! Unbelievable billing negligence or outright fraud. I will be documenting this and filing a complaint with their office, my insurance, and the CA dental board. I will be taking my business elsewhere to a doctor I can trust. read more
