This was our favorite dining experience in Hawaii. We went to plenty of fancy places, even had food featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. NOTHING was as good as TryDis! We are Kalbi connoisseurs (my husband has literally eaten it every day since we arrived,) and this is simply the best. The flavor goes all the way through and the meat is so tender. The garlic shrimp is absolutely the best shrimp I've ever had in my life. Hands down. I'll be dreaming of it and that sauce when I'm back in New York, trying to replicate it for myself, lol. Well if you suggest to me, a customer, "you can get ribs" because shrimp "ran out" for the 4 item combo, you should inform them that it will cost 2X as much as the 3 item. This costly cost of ribs substitution from Trydis was painfully $52 each combo (we bought 3 of them) versus $26 for the three item combo. That's 2X 5the price = $78. And then when I asked there is no macaroni, you said I told you it ran out. 3 of us were present when ordered, and NO one heard that. We will gladly pay, as we've paid thousands on this trip, but being hustled is the worst pain. This is the ONLY food truck of 20 here that does not show price on the truck. All other ones show prices. That's a dead giveaway. 25 minute wait also doesn't help. Btw, other patrons sitting around said it was expensive and we all laughed and said check your receipt. read more

I'd been in Hawaii for three weeks when I found Trydis. It was hands-down the best meal of my trip. I highly recommend the Kalbi ribs!

The experience at this food truck was nothing short of fantastic. We were dropped off at this location by an Uber driver that said to try some of the local food and I am glad that we did! The food was well priced and so delicious that not only did we go back several other times, we told everybody to go to this truck as well. I had the creamy garlic shrimp that was great, lilikoi smoked meat was the best thing on the menu alongside the Kalbi. The food every time was fresh, hot, And came out perfectly every time. I also got to talk to the workers after everything closed and everybody was so sweet and gave me suggestions to places that where the locals would gather instead of tourist traps and we had a blast with those recommendations. I'm from Portland Oregon and a few years back I flew to Hawaii for vacation, as I did a road trip around the island I came across this food wagon. It caught my eye when I seen this young lady backing up a trailer and setting up her grill all by herself. I was curious of what she was cooking so I TRIED IT AT TRYDIS. This young lady was so amazing, with her excellent customer service, and a great personality. She made me want to come back. So now I'm back and I'm very disappointed I ordered the same plate, but not only the price was high, but that young lady wasn't working there no more, and food just didn't taste the same. The food was cold, and it smelt funny. I don't know where that young lady is at or what her name was, but I hope I find her before I go back home. I see a very bright future ahead of her. read more
