I received a number of quotes, McKenzie's was the most reasonable. What I appreciated the most was their honest feedback. I expressed that I was only looking to cleanup the property. They took this to heart and did not try to oversell, unlike other companies. The owner even stopped by to ensure the initial estimate was realistic. I thought this was a nice touch. We recently expanded a deck, added a patio cover, and are putting a hot tub underneath this second…read morefloor deck. There was a concrete patio below the existing deck and we wanted to match that, w/ reinforcement for a hot tub. We got a couple bids for the job. Danny was the estimator that came out for Forest and he seemed knowledgeable and was punctual and professional. It was not the cheapest bid ($6600 for a 13'X16' 4" concrete patio w/ hot tub reinforcement), but the company is much more well established than a couple others we consulted so I put more trust in their work. Rigo is the guy we needed to work with on scheduling etc. for concrete work. This was a little rocky at first, but that had a lot to do with us needing to postpone the start till our deck was done, but then also work around a vacation we'd be taking, and make sure the concrete had enough time to cure before our hot tub is dropped. Despite a slight language barrier, we worked it out and even managed to get it done ahead of when we originally scheduled it. Punctuality is impressive with these guys. For 3 days they were waiting outside our house to start at 7:30am precisely. They had to remove a portion of fence and work around some foliage for access. They ended up encountering an unexpected drainage tube of some kind while digging and made sure to create an access point for us if it's ever needed in the future. The concrete looks great and matches our old patio so well, it's hard to tell they weren't poured together. Danny and I (and later Rigo) discussed treating the old concrete to help the matching. At the end of the work they did a great job of cleaning up the area and returning everything to normal. Rigo also helped us by showing us how to remove the fence portion for when our hot tub is delivered and left the top cap off because he said we'd really struggle to get it off if they put it back. I'm happy with the work, communication, and cleanup and trust if there are any problems I will be able to get them resolved. If we have further landscape needs in the future I will def be calling Forest for a bid.

We are currently working on a greenhouse project in our backyard and needed gas, electric, and…read morewater installed. It required multiple subcontractors to complete the job, but Forest Landscape made sure everything went smoothly and that the project was kept on track. The guys who came to do the excavation for the trench did an amazing job and we were so impressed and grateful that they even worked through all the rain and cold weather. It was so muddy yet they still managed to get the job done. When it was time for inspections, they were all approved which is definitely a positive thing. It reassured us that we made the right decision to go with this company. Not only are they professional, but at the end of each day, they took the time to clean up and make sure they didn't leave a huge mess. Artistic Landscapes was fantastic to work with. When Robert came out to provide the bid, he explained everything in detail, and we were kept informed throughout the process. They even started the job early. Jeve and his crew did a fantastic job removing the old wall and fencing, building the new block retaining wall, and setting new fence posts. The original retaining wall ran right up to the property line with the fence attached to it. We wanted the new fence to follow the property line, so the new wall was set slightly back from the property line with enough room that we can easily take care of any weeds that may grow between the fence and wall. Bonafacio and his crew built a beautiful new fence and gate. He also installed our gate so it would open wider than the old one. Both crews kept the work site extremely clean and they were very work-from-home friendly with the only noise heard was them working. Robert came after the job was done to do a final inspection of both the work and job site cleanup. He also gave us information on how to care for the new fence and retaining wall. I would not hesitate to use Artistic Landscapes again.
