When they became available, my wife researched the terms for the visit and feeling comfortable with their requirements due to Covid-19, purchased the tickets. It cost her almost $100. The day before the event, she got an email stating that a negative result from a rapid test is necessary to attend or proof of all vaccinations. There was no mention of this on their FB page, only that masks are required. I told her to just get a refund, but she discovered the tickets are nonrefundable. How convenient for TFAC. We love our little town of Tryon, but TFAC sux!

The IMAX theater seats were brutally uncomfortable and at 5'4" I almost had trouble getting into them. The theater was also brutally freezing and while I really like loud theater sound, the sound was so loud I thought we were going to have to leave - my ears actually popped (and I'm not an elderly person or anything). Each seat is an extra spacious recliner with an individual, swing away counter for drinks or snacks. It's very much akin to an airline seat in business class. Except the controls are all electronic. There are kiosk for ordering tickets as walk-in guest. But the line for concessions looked pretty much the same. Now what we need is to order concessions directly from our recliner seats!

Before, there was only stadium seating, but now there are recliner options so pay attention to the fine print if you prefer the recliners when picking your time. Our visit was overall pleasant. Although we had recliners, the foot part for mine didn't go up all the way straight. My husband's appeared the same so I don't think it was just mine. The chairs were otherwise comfortable.
