    Thai tea with boba
    AJ C.

My first impression walking in is that this place is clean and visually appealing. Who ever was the interior designer for this gets a high five. It's extremely stuffy in the store though. There needs to be more ventilation bc I could barely breath. I tried the Thai tea and the mango milk tea (I think it was black tea? Not sure but it was the special for the day so I chose it). Thai tea was average. Nothing special. But if you stumbled upon this place while waiting to get seated next door at boiling crab, I would highly suggest the mango milk tea. So yummmy. The boba balls itself were way too soft for me. It reminded me of loogie.... I'm assuming this is a new place because I ordered two drinks and they were literally SO slow. It took approximately 15 minutes to get my drinks out and it wasn't even a long line. At least customer service was nice. I dinged 3 stars bc 1) there is only one size for drinks 2) service takes too long to make drinks 3) it's so stuffy in there. Smells like ingredients from the viet sandwiches.

Coco milk on you right is 1cm less than strawberry green tea. Their excuse is because I ordered less ice (well... So does the drink on left)
    Elizabeth N.

Stopped by this place because my daughter was having a haircut next door. Apparently thier specialty is coco milk drink with green tea jelly. I thought it's gonna be weird if it really is 100% real coconut milk but I think it's just coconut flavored-milk so it's pretty good. However if you see my picture, the coco milk drink (on the left) is missing about 1cm compared to the strawberry green tea drink (which was still too sweet even with half sugar, might be the lychee jelly too). I asked the guy if maybe the drink might have spilled or maybe my cup was leaking. The guy said it's because I asked for less ice. I definitely don't buy the logic because I asked for both drinks to have less ice but why is it only the coco milk that shows up as half full. I was too lazy to make my case so I'll just warn other Yelpers in this review. The lady at the counter is not very friendly. We asked where the bathroom is, and she pointed to her right (empty wall). I thought maybe she was maybe pointing outside the store so I went out but apparently she's pointing at the key for the bathroom. She could've said something when she saw me go out without getting the key. One positive point for them is because they also sell Thien Huong banh mi. I didnt try this time but if I ever come back, that would probably the only reason why

Black milk tea with egg pudding
    Vicky N.

This place is combined with Thien Huong sandwiches and bakery. It was a hot day on Saturday and I was hungry so I decided to get a sandwich at Thien Huong but also ordered a black milk tea with egg pudding. The black milk tea with egg pudding was actually really good. I would definitely come back for more :)

    Why is there 20% missing?????
    Andrew S.

Pretty disappointed. First of all just take a look at the photo. I asked for no ice so I suspect that's why the drink isn't filled but really???? Is this really acceptable? It's just a normal black milk tea... Oh well The tea was made from a premixed batch and even though I asked for 25% sweet it's still super sweetened. OK for a boba fix. But not planning on coming back considering there are like 3-4 places across the street. I gave it a try but failure. Disclaimer...Not a rating for the sandwiches just the drink.

    Oolong tea with matcha crema
    Jenny N.

Well I finally got to try their tea.. at first I wanted to order a black tea with matcha crema with no topping but the cashier started talking to her workers something in Vietnamese, she then turned to me and told me it's better with oolong tea; I took her advice and it's actually turned out better than I expected. I gave them three stars because my friend ordered an oolong winter melon because he saw on their menu; he thought that it comes with grass jelly since the picture shows that it comes with grass jelly but the cashier charged him 50 cents extra for it. I don't know but that's kind of misleading.. then I noticed on the menu that they charge 50 cents for each toppings. I don't know about you but I wouldn't spend that much on milk tea.. I would rather go to T4 or iTea or something else.

Vietnamese coffee 60% filled to the top.
    Jennie N.

$4 for a Vietnamese coffee that's not even filled to the top (60% filled). The roosted oolong milk tea that I got was also very bland. Not coming here again.

First time coming here. I ordered the jasmine green tea with tapioca, my son ordered a black milk tea with tapioca, and my other son ordered Thai milk tea with lychee jelly. The tapioca was soft and the jasmine tea and Thai milk tea was okay!

Occasionally burnt espresso but I love them too much to mind. I am a matcha snob to say the LEAST. Hands down best coffee shop matcha in the Bay Area. The classic iced matcha latte with honey is grassy and earthy and creamy and a little sweet. The iced banana pudding matcha latte had people lined up around the corner for months when it came out. It is deliciously worth the wait. Best banana cold foam in my opinion because it's made with actual bananas instead of flavoring so it's much more mellow. The double matcha they had for awhile is also awesome. Banana cold foam also goes great on an espresso latte. Now they let you add whichever cold foam you like to whatever drink which is great. Basically you can't go wrong. They are always changing up the menu for the new season and have lots of unique drinks on their menu. Not much seating inside at this location. The winchester Blvd one has more if that's what you're looking for. Their pastries are also all yummy and they sell their matcha powder for $60 for 100g which is a GREAT price for a great matcha. I would've gate kept this place but everyone already knows about it so I HAVE to show them the love they deserve!!

Con Azucar is a whimsical escape with an amazing staff (shout out to Ricardo for being so helpful!)…read moreYou can enjoy delicious drinks and foods with plenty of seating inside (and even more seating in the shared patio space in front). The parking lot is large, so we found parking with ease. Upon entering, we were greeted by the staff. I immediately noticed the "instagram-able" hanging seat with a flower backdrop. The cafe had an abundance of colorful decor and wall art. The comfortable tufted velvet seating matches the playfully vibe of the place. Drink orders Refreshers: -Horchata Made in house, creamy with a very sweet cinnamon flavor. -Pepino Con Limon Made in house, a wonderfully refreshing drink that is on the sweeter side Specialty Lattes: -Dulce De Leche (+ extra caramel, no ice) The staff was very accommodating. Ordered "iced" w/out ice. Flavor is coffee forward, but the drink is also very sweet. (Reminds me of the strength of sweet Vietnamese coffee). -Spanish latte (iced +vanilla foam) Great coffee flavor with a nice balance of creamy sweetness (creamier and a more balanced when compared to a Dulce De Leche). A wonderful drink if you want a coffee dessert drink. -Matcha Cloud - seasonal drink Coconut water with Matcha Foam is a wonderful pairing. The sweet coconut water really is refreshing without being too "sugary", while the matcha foam adds subtle matcha flavor that elevates the drink. This drink is perfect if you don't want something overly sugary/sweet. Snack: Next to the register, they sell a small variety bag of their pastries. The pastries are small bite sized pieces of the Larger pastries they offer. A great way to taste the various flavors and types of pastries, at a very reasonable price. Restroom: The restroom is a single stall restroom "disguised" as a refrigerator door on the back wall of the cafe. The restroom is spacious and clean. It contains a single toilet and sink with a mirror. The restroom door is very thick, and has two sliding door latch locks. A wonderful spot to take a break, to relax and enjoy a drink, as well as an atmosphere that lends itself to catching up with friends and family.

Originally I was looking to get pearls, but they didn't have any at the time. I asked the staff how the sweetness is, and he explained it tends to run on the sweeter side and grass jelly would add additional sweetness. I ended up going with 25% sweet. I think I could have gone to 50%, but it's fine. Regardless of the sweetness, the jasmine flavor was a bit off in taste for me in that it didn't have the floral quality that I was expecting. I'd say the grass jelly didn't add too much sweetness. I was also expecting the grass jelly to be the one that sinks to the bottom of the cup, but it was floating at the top, so initially when I was drinking it, I thought they had forgotten to add the grass jelly, but it was there. It was also cubed for ease of drinking. In addition to milk teas and teas, they do have Vietnamese coffee with different types of foam/cream toppings. It's cool they have the standard salt coffee, but also toppings such as ube, pandan, durian, egg. I had a Vietnamese coffee previously here, but I can't recall exactly how it was. They do also have some sweet pastry and some savory snack options. The shop was clean and spacious. It has some seating in here. It was pretty empty when we got here. They do have a happy hour 3-6 pm for two types of drinks (but all I remember is jasmine tea), in which the drinks are $4 each. Considering it seems most of their drinks land in the $6-$8 realm, this is a good deal. Service was very friendly and the staff member who helped me was informative. Overall, Cafes Quan is a solid option for tea and coffee.
