Please save your money and don't go here!! As I was drinking my drink there was lots of tiny pieces of metal!! Could possibly be from a blender, very hazard issue but the worker seem to not be botherd by the situation.

I really loved coming here to Ding tea a lot when I used to live on the south side of SJ . I was really looking forward to the yummy snack offerings mainly the takoyaki balls sadly was sold out ! (*´-`). I did get the takoyaki fries though so not all bad . I did have to ask about the milk and if it was lactose friendly they said yes ! Fingers crossed it's true lol Ambiance is always friendly and welcoming the staff is kind and helpful in making a great choice . Must try !

Tt's located right in the junction of E Capitol and Senter, with the big banner of B2F1, it attracted us to stop and pay a visit. Their menu price is more pricey compared to the local boba shop nearby, the B2F1 is a trap. $5 for a simple brewed tea, not to mention their normal milk tea cost ~$7. This is not even a famous TW franchise. If you drive 0.6 miles away at Senter Road, at CARIBBEES CENTER, there are other boba tea with B2F1 deal and more decent price.

Asked for no ice on this rainy cold day and got ice

Parking is great, no issue here. Customer service is extremely lackluster, we ordered three drinks (had two other guests in front of us) and our order took 23 minutes. It was a cold and wet/rainy day, we asked for no ice in our drinks. Still got ice. One of our drinks wanted ice, the ice was Literally filled 1 inch beneath the rim, insane. The drinks were bland, boring and nothing special. This location is franchised so it's nothing like the other famous/popular ones in Southern California. I'd stay away, you can find much better boba spots within 2-5 mile radius.

FOOD & DRINKS - Brown Sugar Milk Tea: this was tasty. I added grass jelly and aloe vera. 4.5/5 - Spicy Crab Meat Fries: These were really good. It had a little bit of a kick and they use real crabmeat. 4.5/5 - Popcorn Chicken: The meat was tender and flavorful. But they were huge! More like chicken chunks instead of popcorn chicken. 4/5 SERVICE: Friendly staff. I love their buy 2 get 1 free deal! 4/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I would definitely come back. The drinks and food were good. I'd like to try other items on the menu.

Was craving some milk tea boba and this hit it spot! I got their most popular drink the Panda Milk Tea at 75% sweet, cause there drink are usually sweeter and today it was perfect and milky. The boba was soft, chewy and I love there crystal boba! They still have the promotion where you can buy 2 drinks get 1 free! They also have a food menu. I tried to get the tater totes but there kitchen was closed sadly. They also had alot of open spots to sit outside and inside.

Strawberry Pomegranate, 50% Sweet, No Ice, Lychee Jelly

I have not had Ding Tea in a very long time and that was back when I was living around the Sacramento Area. This store is off the corner and easily seen on the street. Inside, social distancing was enforced, to an extent. They only allowed 3 customers at a time in the store, but there was a bit of a "complication", which I will discuss down below. All the employees were wearing masks and gloves, and they had a plexiglass screen when ordering. They have a "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" deal that is ongoing. I find this as a major plus. The tea itself was strong, but I do like my tea to be noticeable. I ordered 2 drinks, both Strawberry Pomegranate but varying Sweetness and different toppings. One had Mango Star Jelly with 75% Sweetness. I found this one to be a bit too sweet for me (and I love my drinks sweet). The 50% Sweetness with Lychee Jelly had the perfect balance for me. The Lychee Jelly is already sweet to begin with, but cutting back to 50% Sweetness helped find a middle ground for me. The big issue I had with this store was that the 2 customers in front of me stayed in the store after my order, while I was told to wait outside once my order was placed. There were other people waiting in line as well, so I was confused why I had to leave the vicinity and not the two customers in front of me. The employees and 2 customers in front of me were speaking Vietnamese, so I am not sure if that had a factor or not. I do feel better about being outside though, to help prevent any possible transmission of Covid, but one has to think why I was asked to leave (and everyone else that came after me), but the couple before me were not. Overall, not a bad tea shop. I would consider coming again, but hopefully without experiencing anymore "interesting" customer service.

Teas are okay, cups and location are cute. Easy to find as they are on the corner and because of their blue LED lights around the window at night. Parking is in the back. I find that all of the drinks are on the sweeter side, so we order them at 30% sweet (the lowest sweetness) and it is still sweet. We have yet to try the snacks. Last time we were here the kitchen was closed. Tips: Drinks are always buy 2 get 1 free! Great ongoing promo. - $0.25 charge for credit card purchases under $20 - If you order "no ice" they will leave a gap where ice would have filled up the cup, so maybe order "less ice" if you want the cup full. We ordered: Top tea - refreshing with some fruit bits on the bottom Assam black milk tea with boba - Boba is soft and slightly sweet

Back at it again with the milk tea grind, but interestingly enough, not with a milk tea drink! Ding Tea House is a spot I found out about when I was taking my foodie adventures to South San Jose, and I am glad that I hd decided to check it out. I got myself the Jasmine Green Tea with Grass Jelly ($5). The drink was requested at 50% sweetness and less ice. Normally in any milk tea store, I would order the Jasmine Milk Tea with boba, but I was informed by the cashier that the store had ran out of boba. I will cover more about why I ended up with an item from the brewed tea selection. I was surprised at how strong and high-quality the tea is. It may be because it didn't have any milk, but my surprise came from being exposed to so many milk tea stores that opt for powdered tea in the past, milk tea or not. The difference is very noticeable. The grass jelly is also very good, having the right consistency and texture without the super grassy, unappetizing notes you get from other places that serve it. Although a 4.5 on closer examination, the reason why I am rounding my experience to 4 stars is because there was miscommunication behind the counter that was not addressed even after I had pointed it out. From the moment of purchase, I had made it very clear to the cashier that I ordered a Jasmine ""Milk"" Tea. It was when I saw my order that I looked at the receipt and realized that apparently I didn't make it clear enough. When raising the concern up, the person just stared at me so I awkwardy took my leave. On the bright side, at least I was charged for the right item. Some additional notes: the unique thing about the store is the Buy 2 Get 1 free deal. If you have a third person or if you want to be the third person, take advantage of this deal. As of this review, there is a 3 customer limit to set foot inside. I came here on a Sunday night, an hour before it closed. There was no line, but the parking area around it is small so you need to be on a lookout for that. Ding Tea House gets my stamp of approval. If you're at the South San Jose area, check it out at your own leisure!

I'm very happy they're open now!

For awhile I had to take a break from drinking milk tea because of my heart problem. And then I started drinking Jasmine MT when I had my heart problem under control. It brought me to other places! So it's been awhile since I've gone to Ding Tea! I happen to be in the area today and so I stopped in for my usual. HOKKAIDO MILK TEA is the only thing I order here besides their Yakult drinks. And I was in a mood for some Hokkaido today. The moment I walked in, I was in awe. They renovated the place and made it a lot more pretty! It was very plain and boring and I hated that wall that was up previously, but it's been knocked in half so it looks a lot more spacious. They did a very good job at giving it an upgrade. My only concern was, this place is a complete mess. There were straw wrappers all over the ground, it was wet and slippery when I walked in, and the music was turned up so loudly I felt like I was standing next to a speaker at a club. Speaking of music. THE PLAYLIST SHOULD REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLLLLLLLLLY BE CHANGE. THERE'S NO CENSOR. I'm sure these HS kids don't mind the music. But I don't want to hear lyrics like "She give good heads..." or "F**K" words and other inappropriate lyrics playing loudly while I'm trying to work. If you're going to play these song choices, THE CLEAN VERSION OF IT WON'T KILL YA. So maybe just clean up a little more in between shifts and consider taking out some songs from their playlist.

Although this MT flavor has a way STRONGER jasmine tea flavor than Itea (on Aborn E. Capitol Expwy), I don't think any MT should NOT cost more than $7. This was also my first time trying this place and will probably be my last time.

    Combination of classic milk teas!

Temperatures were just under 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside. The air conditioning was great in here, not freezing cold but cool enough to be comfortable. There were a few other tables of people with their laptops out, and I was excited to see that they have expanded since my last visit and added more seating for customers. The lotus milk tea is still one of my favorites in the whole city. We sat at a table so there was no outlet, but I can't remember if there were outlets along the walls for the booth seating. The WiFi worked well and if there was background music it was not being blasted loudly. I would definitely keep this spot top of mind if I needed a reliable spot to work remote again, especially since there is now more seating than there used to be. Fingers crossed that I will be able to attend their grand opening. While I like the cherry blossom concept behind it, it left me rather disappointed when it came to the service and making of the drinks. While the coffee shop felt spacious and more than enough space to accommodate everybody, it just felt rushed throughout the whole time I was there. Their drinks were another dimension. I got their EGGspresso Hanoi, which surprisingly, was not bad at all. I loved how consistent the egg batter was, and the consistency of the coffee was quite equal. I will be back to try their other drinks, and hoping that their customer service could improve just a little bit more. I know they have the potential, but being more courteous goes a very long way compared to being bland in attitude, obviously.

I was so excited to try the mango sticky rice matcha, as I hadn't seen this flavor anywhere else. The drink has a creamy salted coconut milk cold foam on top and some mango puree and glutinous rice on the bottom. Once everything was mixed, the mango flavor does get lost unfortunately. But still, the drink was amazing and rich. The guava li-hing matcha was sooo vibrant! I loved how the tropical flavor of the guava cold foam sprinkled with li-hing balanced out the earthy matcha. I walked in with crossed fingers and low expectations, but walked out with a satisfied palate, a smile, and an eagerness to visit again soon. This is NOT your run-of-the-mill coffee shop. They roast onsite. Real deal, Holyfield. I started with an espresso. Then a cortado. Then grabbed a bag of Yirgacheffe to go because I gotta see what else they got going on. . These guys clearly know what they're doing; and if they don't, they accidentally perfected it anyway. The espresso was balanced, clean, and intentional. Nothing hidden behind over-roasting or gimmicks. Just refined quality coffee handled correctly. I'm genuinely glad spots like this exist, and even happier one sits right here near my fam. When my husband asked about their most popular specialty drink, she mentioned the "Milky Way" and compared it to a Starbucks macchiato--which felt like an odd comparison for a specialty coffee shop that otherwise seems to take pride in its craft. More than anything, the interaction came across as disengaged and a bit uninterested, which stood out because places like this usually shine in both product and service.
