Service here was great. The guy at the counter was very helpful and provided information to us about the different types of drinks and flavors. We came one afternoon before heading back home and we were the only ones in the store. We ordered 3 drinks that were pretty tasty. Ambiance is also nice with clean white and blue decor. I especially liked the quote on the wall about "To the world your 1 person but to 1 person u are the world"....something along those lines. I've passed by Ding Tea House a lot. First time stopping in to try it. Andrew Hill HS just let out, so it was quite busy. They have seats and tables inside and a few tables outside. Hokkaido Milk Tea with Boba. Cute bear design. The boba was nice, soft, and chewy. The tea was sweet at 100%. The service was slower as she was the only one at the store. Though, she did warn walkup customers this when we ordered. The drink was at least 15-20 minutes. Overall, 3.5 stars. They have a deal of buy 2 get 1 drink free. Tt's located right in the junction of E Capitol and Senter, with the big banner of B2F1, it attracted us to stop and pay a visit. Their menu price is more pricey compared to the local boba shop nearby, the B2F1 is a trap. $5 for a simple brewed tea, not to mention their normal milk tea cost ~$7. This is not even a famous TW franchise. If you drive 0.6 miles away at Senter Road, at CARIBBEES CENTER, there are other boba tea with B2F1 deal and more decent price. read more

I have not had Ding Tea in a very long time and that was back when I was living around the Sacramento Area. This store is off the corner and easily seen on the street. Inside, social distancing was enforced, to an extent. They only allowed 3 customers at a time in the store, but there was a bit of a "complication", which I will discuss down below. All the employees were wearing masks and gloves, and they had a plexiglass screen when ordering. They have a "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" deal that is ongoing. I find this as a major plus. The tea itself was strong, but I do like my tea to be noticeable. I ordered 2 drinks, both Strawberry Pomegranate but varying Sweetness and different toppings. One had Mango Star Jelly with 75% Sweetness. I found this one to be a bit too sweet for me (and I love my drinks sweet). The 50% Sweetness with Lychee Jelly had the perfect balance for me. The Lychee Jelly is already sweet to begin with, but cutting back to 50% Sweetness helped find a middle ground for me. The big issue I had with this store was that the 2 customers in front of me stayed in the store after my order, while I was told to wait outside once my order was placed. There were other people waiting in line as well, so I was confused why I had to leave the vicinity and not the two customers in front of me. The employees and 2 customers in front of me were speaking Vietnamese, so I am not sure if that had a factor or not. I do feel better about being outside though, to help prevent any possible transmission of Covid, but one has to think why I was asked to leave (and everyone else that came after me), but the couple before me were not. Overall, not a bad tea shop. I would consider coming again, but hopefully without experiencing anymore "interesting" customer service. read more

Decent Boba tea. Diverse menu with plenty of milk teas, fruity teas, milkshakes and fried food to choose from. However I found the place a tad expensive compared to other Boba joints. Ding Tea House is a spot I found out about when I was taking my foodie adventures to South San Jose, and I am glad that I hd decided to check it out. I got myself the Jasmine Green Tea with Grass Jelly ($5). The drink was requested at 50% sweetness and less ice. Normally in any milk tea store, I would order the Jasmine Milk Tea with boba, but I was informed by the cashier that the store had ran out of boba. I will cover more about why I ended up with an item from the brewed tea selection. I was surprised at how strong and high-quality the tea is. It may be because it didn't have any milk, but my surprise came from being exposed to so many milk tea stores that opt for powdered tea in the past, milk tea or not. The difference is very noticeable. The grass jelly is also very good, having the right consistency and texture without the super grassy, unappetizing notes you get from other places that serve it. Although a 4.5 on closer examination, the reason why I am rounding my experience to 4 stars is because there was miscommunication behind the counter that was not addressed even after I had pointed it out. From the moment of purchase, I had made it very clear to the cashier that I ordered a Jasmine ""Milk"" Tea. It was when I saw my order that I looked at the receipt and realized that apparently I didn't make it clear enough. When raising the concern up, the person just stared at me so I awkwardy took my leave. On the bright side, at least I was charged for the right item. Some additional notes: the unique thing about the store is the Buy 2 Get 1 free deal. If you have a third person or if you want to be the third person, take advantage of this deal. As of this review, there is a 3 customer limit to set foot inside. I came here on a Sunday night, an hour before it closed. There was no line, but the parking area around it is small so you need to be on a lookout for that. Ding Tea House gets my stamp of approval. For awhile I had to take a break from drinking milk tea because of my heart problem. And then I started drinking Jasmine MT when I had my heart problem under control. It brought me to other places! So it's been awhile since I've gone to Ding Tea! I happen to be in the area today and so I stopped in for my usual. HOKKAIDO MILK TEA is the only thing I order here besides their Yakult drinks.And I was in a mood for some Hokkaido today. The moment I walked in, I was in awe. They renovated the place and made it a lot more pretty! It was very plain and boring and I hated that wall that was up previously, but it's been knocked in half so it looks a lot more spacious. They did a very good job at giving it an upgrade. My only concern was, this place is a complete mess. There were straw wrappers all over the ground, it was wet and slippery when I walked in, and the music was turned up so loudly I felt like I was standing next to a speaker at a club. Speaking of music. THE PLAYLIST SHOULD REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLLLLLLLLLY BE CHANGE. THERE'S NO CENSOR. I'm sure these HS kids don't mind the music. But I don't want to hear lyrics like "She give good heads..." or "F**K" words and other inappropriate lyrics playing loudly while I'm trying to work. If you're going to play these song choices, THE CLEAN VERSION OF IT WON'T KILL YA. Ding Tea House is located at the corner, so I always see them while driving by and I thought they were related to the other Ding Tea brand, but it is a completely different brand/chain. I realized it when I went inside, but it does not hurt to try a new spot, so I can rate it on Yelp. I tried their Jasmine Milk Tea with boba and Jasmine Green Tea Salted Cheese with boba. The milk tea was bitter with a strong floral taste and lack or creaminess, and does not taste green tea based. The salted cheese tasted kind of off with a weird and sour aftertaste, it was kind of clumpy and did not mix with the tea well. The boba was super soft, has a weird sweet candy taste like a gummy, and kind of melts in your mouth which was kind of gross, especially in the clumpy and sour salted cheese drink. read more

I was excited to try Ding Tea because the SoCal locations are popular and delicious. This location, however, did not live up to the SoCal locations at all. It was almost like this location had no relation to the other stores besides the name. They did not have one of my go-to drink that I always get at Ding Tea. They didn't have golden boba which they have at other locations. I did order the Strawberry Yakult and it was alright. Nothing too spectacular. I ordered it with the least amount of sweetness and it was still sort of sweet. When you order this drink, I recommend ordering it in the lowest sweetness level because the sweetness in the yakult is already fixed. There's a hidden game room in the back which is super cool if you ever find yourself wanting to chill here. Overall, drinks are just okay and are nothing like the SoCal locations. read more

Ding Tea's number one factor that sets them apart from all other tea houses is their very nice 'Buy 2 Get 1 Free' deal! I've only gone here a handful of times, but their quality of drinks taste pretty nice and their boba is really chewy too :) Some things I need to remember and hopefully will be of benefit to anyone reading this is that 1) their drinks are extremely sweet and 2) despite their large selection, the food is not so great compared to other tea houses that sell food items. For pointer #1, I recommend ordering their lowest amount of sugar (30% I believe) if you find yourself ordering 50-75% at other places. For pointer #2, it may depend on the type of food you order that will result in a bad situation. For me, I've ordered their takoyaki and fries and both were extremely soggy and room temp when I got them :O Main thing is just be cautious of what you order and like I said previously, their "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" deal helps a lot when paying/making decisions about what to get. read more

First of all, the honeydew is amazing at this location 3151 Senter Rd next to Andrew hill high school. If you haven't tried the honeydew at this location, make sure you do so once they open back up! They are super nice and friendly, all of the staff and all have very excellent patience. Next the taro tea, lets starts by saying i have no complaints at all about the taro tea, its very yummy and cool looking. Honeydew level taro! This is a long overdue review. I came here a few times when they first opened and there are 2 incidents that made me stop going completely. To start, I didn't find their drinks or boba good/special. The only reasons I came was because it's new (and popular around the world) and it's close to my house. The first incident, I ordered a jasmine milk tea, but ended up receiving a strawberry milk tea. I was in a rush so I didnt realize til I got home. But that wasn't the bad part, the drink looked weird and separated. The second incident, I got their special fruit tea and there was a big o fly inside. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth going here especially with a ton of nearby places for boba. It's a shame because Ding Tea is really popular around the world, including the socal location. You'd think that they'd be somewhat busy with Ahill across the street, but it's always empty when I pass by lol. The location is also not the greatest imo for drivers. First time here. Decided to check it out due to a YouTube video (though filmed at a different location). I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea at 30% sweetness and ice. As a previous review mentioned, the tea was very overpowering and strong. In fact, I wasn't able to finish half of it. The milk tasted like powdered milk given to infants. Ding Tea is great for its long hours and variety of drinks. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 3 is because I love getting their smoothies. The smoothies have a lot of flavor in them and I love adding boba to them as well. The milk teas and other drinks are nothing special. I have not had a good experience with their food. I know that Ding Tea can improve a lot more and I'm excited to see how else they can improve their menu. read more
