In a word...meh...though I am willing to guve it another try in the future and re-review. My companion and I stopped in on a recent weekday eve since we'd heard about this particular residential development and the businesses that had sprung up around it. Beerded Goat seems to have potential but it was challenging to determine that when they were out of approximately a third of the beers on their tap list--including what I'd consider more popular and accessible styles. I ordered a flight to sample their beers and ended up ordering a sample of meade as part of it since they were out of at least two beers I wanted to try. I get it, they're a small brewery, but still frustrating that most of what was available were more exotic styles that I don't try until I know a brewery does the basics well. The other interesting part of the experience was that the bar staff couldn't find an opener for wine (Pinot Grigio) that my companion ordered. She settled for another style of white from an open bottle. Staff was atttentive and the brewery's interior was nicely maintained, with the usual exposed brewtanks/industrial vibe. Didn't try the food but will do so in an eventual return visit.

We did a team dinner for my sons baseball team which included adults and kids. The atmosphere and food was good. Service was quick. Our servers were friendly and attentive. Beer and food were really good. I love how they have a arcade area. The kids were entertained for sure. There is a large outdoor space for the kids to play. Nice spot to check out if you are in the Harrisburg area.

Ended up here because shakedown bbq only does bbq on Saturdays and only has seeded rolls. Decided to split the backyard burger and french dip grilled cheese. Except they were out of the french dip grilled cheese unfortunately. We switched to the crab grilled cheese and that was a mistake. First, the tomato soup that comes with it came out cold. Not a huge deal- the waitress offered to switch it to another side, but we just said they could nuke it. On its own it was decent. My mom thought it tasted more like spaghetti sauce. I somewhat enjoyed dipping the sandwich in it. The problem was a lack of cheese and the crab was not the best. I will say the bread was perfectly buttery and toasted. We want to go back and try it with the french dip grilled cheese. Burger was cooked properly and was tasty. Fries were also crispy and had the right amount of salt. Pear/vanilla cider was okay. The waitress and service was excellent. She pointed out the pear cider had vanilla and wanted to make sure that was okay. There just wasn't enough pear or vanilla flavor, but it was an excellent cold temperature. She also began explaining that one of the salad specials came with peanuts but it didn't say it on the menu, but they could make it without peanuts if needed. The orange cream draft was delicious. Cool large bar and more tables than I remember them having. They are renovating. I did notice the mini basketball and gaming area is now gone. Not sure if it will return after the renovations or not. More like 3.75 stars, but I have been here previously and that visit was a 4.

Pretzel braid - $6 during happy hour

We stopped in here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. Good food, great drinks, and great service - we enjoyed our visit! We enjoyed flatbread and a pretzel braid off of their $6 happy hour menu. They were both good and very fresh! We also enjoyed a beer and a cocktail - half off during happy hour. Their cocktails come to about $7-$8 and I believe my beer was less than $4. The service was absolutely fantastic. It took some time for our food but we didn't mind - we were in no rush! If you are looking for an inexpensive, early-ish dinner, The Bearded Goat is there for you!

The nachos and the flatbread were bomb. The porter beer was fire. The service was excellent. The area is tucked away in a neighborhood but the vibes are there. They have games and great music.

The Beerded Goat opened in the former Newfangled brewery location, but has revamped the entire place from physical arrangements to beer and food services.  We sampled a variety of their craft beers and their craft cocktails. Two in our party really enjoyed the cocktails as they were not "watered down" as in many other locations. The beer was solid and offered a nice mix between IPAs and other varieties.  Beer is always iffy when a new craft brewery opens, but we were very pleased with the ones we tried.  The food menu offers a variety of choices.  We tried the meatballs and loaded house made chips for our appetizers (both good). Our entrees consisted of the Short rib cheesesteaks (served with delicious homemade potato chips),  pulled pork sliders, and the short rib sliders. All of the food was very good. The main detractor from our visit was the cost of food. While tasty, the price per meal was a bit expensive (probably around $3 per item more than comparable establishments). For example, the Pulled pork sliders (which were from the appetizer menu) were $15 and the Short rib cheesesteak, served on a baguette with potato chips was $19.  Overall it was a good visit and I hope they do a successful business.

My boyfriend and I drove from New York to attend a concert at Hershey Stadium that was canceled at the last minute. Since it was a late show and getting this late notice, rather than driving back to New York, we decided to take advantage of a local brewery that we hadvseen a sign for that was in between HS and our hotel in New Cumberland. We are so glad we did! The place was huge inside and very well lit. There was an outdoor area as well that we saw as we walked up but didn't bother checking out because we could hear and see screaming kids and that's just not our jam but it seemed like it could have been a private party. Kudos to them! We were greeted almost immediately upon entering. Once we sat down at the bar (always our preference), several people in different waves offered menus, asked if we wanted water, and asked if we were ready to order, asked if we had questions. Like everybody was immediately on top of it. But not in a weird pushy way. There were several menus to take in, so we took our time going through everything. They even had a wine menu, which was awesome because I am not a huge beer drinker in my older age, so I liked having this as an option. We started with a flight of beer and ordered Korean nachos. The beers were good, but the Korean nachos were out of this world! The tuna seemed so fres. Itt had great heat and was bursting of flavor. And those wonton chips are so addictive! While we were taking in all of our beers, we noticed that the playlist was pretty awesome. Reflecting'80s and 90s classic rock and we found out soon enough that one of the patrons, our neighbor a few seats down, had probably spent his life savings at the "Jukebox" playing all of these bangers. Such a nice guy. Being that we were so disappointed to not attend our concert and we were drowning our sorrows the music was really an added bonus. He also made friends with a young couple that sat on our other side, and we all were chatting and laughing until basically the lights came on, and it was time to dip out. During all of these conversations, I was able to chat with one of the owners who was behind the bar servicing customers. Her name was Keeley (correct spelling?), and she was an absolute delight and was so patient in letting me taste several of the wines til i found THE ONE. I really enjoyed talking to her and hearing how her and her husband came to be owners of the brewery and the restaurant across the street. We were so busy eating our nachos, tasting our beers and wines, and jamming to the tunes that we hadn't even realized what time it was. We had all intentions to go across the street and have dinner, but by the time the lights had come on, the restaurant was to be closing in about 45 minutes. We did attempt to walk by to see if we could squeeze in another drink but chairs were already on the tables and we don't like to be those customers having worked in service at one point in our lives. All together, the place had a great vibe. Everybody had good energy, and everybody was constantly hustling. There is nothing worse than walking into a busy establishment that is really buzzing, but so many employees are standing around and not making the most of their Idle Hands and helping to get past the rush. I don't know that we will be back to Hershey anytime soon, but if we do, we will absolutely make it a point to come back to the brewery and hopefully have dinner across the way. Thank you, guys, for turning our frowns upside down!

Came in on a Friday afternoon. We received quick service from the wait staff, despite it being about half full. The inside is nicely decorated, although the arcade games clash with the upscale aesthetic. My Wizard Circle IPA was decent, and for $7 it's about what I've come to expect price-wise for craft beer. For the meal, however, my Short Rib Cheesesteak left a lot to be desired. For starters, it was quite small and served lukewarm on some kind of artisan bread. Came with a side of chips - my other side option was "raw vegetables" (our server's words). No fries here, and the cheese steak wasn't the most flavorful. At $19, I felt shortchanged and left still hungry. My partner's $18 Chopped Salad with Chicken was also on the small side. You'd get more at Panera, and for less money. She was also left hungry, and at least Panera would give you a baguette. Not a great value, for over $50 after tip. They really need to work on their menu, and watch pricing versus portion sizes.

The building is a former printing plant which has a spacious tap rooms/dining on the first floor and the Abbey Bar (with occasional live music) upstairs. I'm a big fan of ABC for many reasons, not the least of which is their variety of approachable and tasty beer styles for nearly any taste. ABC manages to stay creative with a mix of standard selections with a rotating cast of seasonals--but nothing too exotic. The food has been good in my experience and I confess a particular liking for the pierogies--pretty darn good for this part of PA. Service at this location has been uniformly excellent during all my visits. A couple of mild quirks about the Cameron Street location: first, parking is a bit odd. There's a small lot near the entrance but most parking is near the back of the building. Second, the brewery is on a slightly industrial stretch of Cameron Street. Translation: the neighborhood looks worse than it actually is! ABC runs an excellent small chain of brew pubs (I've visited most of them) but I think the original has a je ne sais quoi that makes it special.

But this place is much more than beer, and I can't recommend it enough. First, there is a bar completely separate from the eating area, so you can choose what experience you want. Second, I've known that all their beers are top notch, which is why I wanted to come here. I'm not an IPA guy, but the black IPA is some top notch stuff that anyone can appreciate. Not super hoppy, really well balanced. Blonde stout is another superb creation, Lancaster gets some depth into it that many other breweries can't manage. Third, if you want food, they learned from the Food Network and limited their menu to just a few choices, all excellently prepared. I ordered the Angry Mac with gator meat. It had excellent flavor, they made it spicier like I asked, and unlike most places they provided plenty of meat. Great quantity and great taste that I wasn't expecting. I tasted my friend's polenta and it was perfectly balanced with some cheese, not too salty. I could eat that for days. Finally, Eva, our waitress? Wonderful. My friend and I were weighing dessert, we wanted a brownie but not the whole hot fudge brownie sundae. Eva made it work and even split it between heated and cold. What a great server. Props to Eva! To get this quality of food, this quality of beer, this quality of service, and this quality of ambiance all in one? No wonder my friend was willing to go two days in a row. I need a Lancaster Brewing in my town.

I stopped in on a chilly, windy January Friday around 5:30pm and immediately felt at home. There were maybe five people total inside--three at the bar and one couple in the dining room. It was quiet, no too-bright lights, and warm. Cozy. Calm. Very much my vibe. I was handed a menu, told I could sit anywhere, and instructed to head to the order station when I was ready. As I perused the menu, I found myself in a familiar internal conflict: I really wanted the Smoked Beef Tri Tip & Burrata sandwich, but I also really wanted a smash burger instead of sliced beef. So naturally, I decided to test the limits of the universe. I gathered my courage, went to the order station, and told the man taking my order that I appreciated him entertaining what I was about to say because I was trying to break reality just a little. Then I asked: "Can I get the Smoked Beef Tri Tip & Burrata...without the tri tip...and with a smash burger instead?" Without missing a beat, he replied, "Well, I have to tell you--we're actually out of the tri tip, so...sure! We're going to confuse the guy in the kitchen, but let's do it." A million out of ten stars! Total for this beautiful nonsense: $16. I upgraded my fries to black truffle fries for $2 (as one does) and added a Diet Coke for $2.75. With tip, my total came to $25--very reasonable for the experience I was about to have. I returned to my seat and soaked in the atmosphere. A few minutes later, Order Station Man reappeared to let me know they were out of the bacon jam sauce that was supposed to go on my sandwich--but offered to whip up something similar if that was okay. YES. Always yes. Thank you for offering a solution instead of a shrug. This is a huge win in my book! While I waited, more folks filtered in and joined the couple seated near me. They clearly knew each other, and after a bit of chatting, someone called the group to order and they all introduced themselves. That's when I realized I had unknowingly scored dinner-and-a-show: a Dungeons & Dragons meetup. I ate my burger while listening to character introductions. Zero complaints. And the food? Exactly what I hoped for. The smash burger was a perfect, smaller patty--ideal size for me--loaded with creamy burrata on a fluffy roll. I quickly finished the entire thing, which is the highest compliment I can give. Midway through my meal, Order Station Man appeared again--this time holding a bowl of black truffle fries--and apologized for initially sending regular fries. I hadn't even noticed (I was focused on the smashburger spectacular!) or said a word, but he fixed it anyway. And I'm so glad he did because these truffle fries were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Crispy, flavorful, and officially added to my "I need fries from this place" list. Despite a few wrinkles (which were all handled beautifully), this was a genuinely great experience. Friendly staff, flexible kitchen, cozy atmosphere, and food that delivered. Highly recommend. Parking could be tricky at peak times, but I parked across the street in the old bank lot without issue. Revolutionary Eatery & Brewpub understands hospitality--and apparently also understands my very specific sandwich dreams.

The three things I look for in a brewery are an inviting outdoor space, accessibility to some good grub, and (of course) some quality beers. Big bonus if a place is dog friendly. The staff was great - they were packed but our hostess and waitress both made sure we were taken care of without being up-in-your-face. They understood both the food and beer menus and were able to make good suggestions. The overall atmosphere of the place was fun too - trivia night was going on while we were there and even the people who weren't playing along were obviously engaged. We had lunch not too much earlier, but we couldn't pass up trying one of the flatbreads that the waitress recommended. We were very happy that we did - just the right size and very tasty. We each got a flight of five so we got to sample a good chunk of their offerings.
