Well now that I know this spot is only ten minutes away, it has become one of my favorite dinner options. We didn't want to cook and BBQ sounded great so we're back for more! We got a brisket sandwich, a half rack of ribs and then an order of the BBQ eggrolls. My son loves the ribs and will eat so many of them. My wife finished his ribs and had the BBQ eggrolls which are incredible. And I got the brisket sandwich this time and it was great. The brisket was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Ordering was easy and staff were helpful. Food was ready to go quickly. I didn't stay to eat, but the space looks like it could be very enjoyable with plenty of outdoor style seating. I ordered ribs and brisket with a side of coleslaw and tater tots. The servings were VERY generous. I was surprised at the weight of the bag. Tater tots beat expectations for a MN boy, and coleslaw was quite good. Ribs were fall-off the bone, if that is what you are looking this is for you. Me? I am looking for a little "tug" on my ribs. Even though they were falling off the the bone, they were surprisingly dry. Brisket rub was unique and delicious. The brisket on the other hand was so dry I needed liquid to get it down. I always love that the pitmaster gives us a hearty greeting as we stroll past his smokers to enter the building. The brisket here is to die for. They advised they were big on samples and while we were trying to figure out what few samples to ask for the manager brought us a large platter with smoked roast beef, smoked turkey, pulled pork and brisket!! Ordered takeout at the restaurant on a Sunday, four meals, and it was ready in 5 minutes! My kids love their smoked burgers. Note, they are pink on the inside, but that's because of the smoking process. So glad I was able to try the smoked bologna, it was one of the specials of the day. Thick cut with a great char. We opted for no seasoning on their fries and tots, because it's a bit too sweet for our tastes. For not being a big mac and cheese fan, I found theirs to be quite tasty. It has a secret ingredient that I can't quite pinpoint. The baked beans are also good, definitely on the sweeter side. And I said this before, but their smoked meats are top-notch. The turkey blows my mind - I almost don't want to eat it any other way. Fair warning about this food: it has a VERY strong smoke flavor. I understand this is a bbq joint and that I ordered smoked wings but I was expecting them to be edible. They literally tasted like an ashtray and were not enjoyable. The wings were also very fatty. I would not recommend those. As far as the other food, it was tasty. The cheesy potatoes and the Mac and cheese were good sides. Corn bread was just average. For the meats, I enjoyed both the pulled pork and the brisket and I felt that they're bbq sauce was great. The "mini" sandwiches were actually huge to me! You will definitely be full from that meal. The brisket Mac and cheese did have good flavor but I feel like it was missing extra bbq sauce and the green onion or whatever garnish was supposed to be on it. Service was good. Lots of young kids working but they were all very kind and helpful. For ambiance, the seating area inside looked small. There seemed to only be a few tables but there might have been more in the back. They do have an awesome looking deck with a nice view which would be nice in the summer or fall months. I really like this place from every angle. The location, the interior, the people who work there, and, of course, the food. Everything was joyful and satisfying. First you order food and drinks at the counter. Pay in advance. Grab your drinks. Receive an order number, and find a free table. There are a bunch of tables downstairs, but the upstairs seems to be the most popular spot. With an additional terrace overlooking the Cazenovia Creek, plenty of seating is available. This place has a really nice vibe. Our food came out quickly. Everything looked very appealing and desirable. I stopped in for carryout and it was a Sunday, so I was hoping to get the 1/4 chickens but I think they were sold out by the time I got there. I opted for the 2 meat combo of pulled pork and smoked turkey. The pork was great - had a few pieces with nice seasoning on the outside and it comes with their bbq sauce. The turkey was a tad dry and not my favorite but it still had a nice smokey flavor. I definitely loved their cheesy potatoes. They were still firm enough so they held shape and the sweet potato fries looked to be hand cut and came with a sweet dipping sauce! I'd definitely go back. Cool local bbq spot. We happened to find this place because it's near our vet and we bookmarked it as a place to try. We were not disappointed when we finally got to try. They have a variety of smoked bbq meats including ribs, turkey, brisket. There is also pulled pork and roast beef. You can choose any meat on a sandwich, starter or add them up to make a combo plate. All the meats were fresh and delicious. My favorite was the turkey. The only thing I wish was that the brisket had a little char on it. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries and the bbq honey they offer as a condiment. The plates were very generous and were several meals of food. Service was quick and staff was sweet and helpful.
