Kansas City beef tips w fries 1/2 rack rib dinner, garlic mashed potato and mac & cheese
Laura D.

Everything was very tasty! Beef tips and the ribs were excellent! The sides, fries, mashed taters, mac & cheese was room temp. hardly warm. Still tasty, but hot would be excellent! Service was good as I requested sweet fries , recieved regular. Enjoyed a very, tasty Saturday Night dinner. Thank you BWs! DD was very professional, quick, and courteous! I highly recommend BWs for door dash

Nice little place to eat, restaurant was very clean inside and the staff was very friendly. My husband ordered the three meat combo with tenderloin tips, pulled pork, and 1/4 chicken. His sides were baked beans, and potato salad. I ordered 1/2 chicken dinner with macaroni salad and macaroni and cheese. Everything was delicious, the chicken was so good, the marinade they cook it in is delicious. The Mac and cheese was creamy with white cheddar, macaroni salad was great too. The table of barbecue sauces is perfect! So much good stuff to try but the honey bbq was the bomb. So glad we stopped in today!

Multiple visits to this Barbecue gem. Had the 1/2 rack of excellent fall off the bone Ribs with half chicken combo. Comes with 2 sides from a large selection of same. Bonus: 7 different BBQ sauces on the table to use at your choice.

Take out quarter chicken quarter ribs with potato salad and coleslaw
Marissa M.

We did take out the other day and it was pretty good. The potato salad is way too much mayo and not very tasty at all. The coleslaw was okay. Best part was the chicken and the ribs of course. Pickup service was quick. Can't speak to the ambiance since we just took it and ran. I would come back but would def try 2 different sides.

Grilled chicken sandwhich

Some good BBQ, not great but good. The service was great, our server was so pleasant and attentive. We started the meal with a combo plate app, included chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, pizza logs and potatoes skins. The app platter was good. They definitely make inhouse ranch that was delicious, but the marinara sauce not so much.We got the tenders BBQ. The were so good. Cooked well fried nicely and moist on the inside. The tables had sauces out, my favorite was the harberno honey. We ordered the brisket sandwhich with mashers and gravy, as well as the 28 special sandwhich which was smoked beef tenderloin with Monterey jack cheese, onion straws and a creamy chili dressing. I would of loved more chili dressing but the sandwhich was very good. The beef tenderloin melted in your mouth. The grilled chicken salad was a little disappointing. Was a plate of lettuce with a few pieces of chicken. With my sandwhich I ordered a side of Mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was not bad..creamy with some flavor. The brisket melted in your mouth, but without sauce was lacking flavor. Not a big put sauce on my BBQ girl, I like the meat to sing. The meat did not pop, but once sauce was added was very tasty.

Portobello Porker (No Pork) with Potato Salad
Shauna P.

Our monthly lunch bunch really wanted to try this place, but were concerned that I wouldn't find something pescatarian-appropriate. No worries. If worse comes to worst, I can always manipulate a sandwich or salad to eliminate the meat. But BW's menu was a pleasant surprise, with a veggie burger, shrimp dishes, and the option of ordering their Portobello Porker sandwich without the pork. I do love me a portobello sandwich, but this one was next level. Whoever invented barbecue bleu cheese - thank you! I love barbecue sauce, I love bleu cheese, but putting them together? OMG. The variety of sides is extensive, with some unusual selections on the list, like broccoli salad and mashed sweet potatoes. I opted for potato salad, and was glad I did. Skin-on potatoes, which I prefer, and it tasted like there was some sour cream involved. Delicious. Prices are reasonable, and service is great. Our server Gina had a lot of customers, and was really hustling, but managed to stay on top of everything while being super nice. Several of us were able to take advantage of the lunch special: 10% off entrees and sandwiches between 11:30 and 2. And the dessert eater of the group couldn't resist the peanut butter pie, which produced a whole lot of "MMM"s. Everybody was happy with their food, and we all agreed to add BW's to our list of preferred lunch spots.

Ordered Grilled Chicken salad and was very disappointed. Received a container of plain lettuce and 6 small chicken strips for $14.49.

Ordered grilled chicken salad and received a container of lettuce with 6 small chicken strips for $14.49...what a disappointment. Why give option to exclude tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, onions or cucumbers if they're not included?

Just down the street. Always an after thought when deciding where to eat. Always so good. Prices reasonable and portions sizes are great! Service is always very good.

I took my mother shopping and while in the area we decided to stop in for an early dinner. We were looking forward to a new experience for a BBQ place and based on the reviews thought this would be a great time. Apparently since COVID some places have opted to either pre cook food or are saving leftovers. Our experience was the food when it arrived at the table was luke warm and had a taste of being reheated. The french fries were a bit greasy and soggy. I had the pulled pork sandwich....because how else do you put a BBQ place to the test without a great serving of pulled pork or ribs. My mother settled for a burger, which she said was a bit tough ... I understand it will be a bit before things get back to normal ..but I hate when the quality of the food is the issue. Reheating leads to an overcooked dry experience. I will give them another try just to see if things change ... Considering many restaurants are complaining of having short staffs i will applaud them on a great and friendly staff.

There's no place like home and I feel at home here. The food is just fantastic- this is the only place I get my full rack of ribs- tender, juicy and just down right delicious. Quick service and a quaint atmosphere. You can't go wrong here.

She had a gift card, plus Mondays mean kids eat free, which is always a bonus. The warm brown bread with honey butter is reason enough to come back. It comes out perfectly warm, and the butter melts right into it. My kids convinced us to order the appetizer trio with loaded fries, mozzarella sticks, and onion peels, and I'm glad they did. It came out quickly, and those boomerang mozz sticks were some of the best I've had in a long time. Oh, and the onion peels remain a personal favorite as always. For our entrées, my mom and I both ordered the sirloin combo with an added protein so we could share. I chose the coconut shrimp, and she went with the Alice chicken. Both were delicious, and the steakhouse-style loaded baked potato was such a nice change since I rarely order baked potatoes. My boys were happy with their steaks and fries, while my daughter stuck with the classic chicken fingers, because they just don't disappoint. Service was excellent from start to finish. The hostess was incredibly sweet and welcoming when seating us, and the staff was just as kind on the way out, even opening the door for us as we left. It's those little touches that really stand out. As much as I love supporting local businesses, this was a chain restaurant experience done really well. Great food, friendly service, happy kids, and a birthday celebration with zero complaints.

The craziest part about it is that Winfield's Pub is literally just 10 minutes from my House. A conveniently small place that packs big Bold Flavors. Like as you are driving down Ridge Road towards the main Lackawanna area. A place that if you want to enjoy, you'd have to park in front of it or park on the Side Streets of the neighborhood across from it and walk over. After trying out their Food at a Stillwater Farm Dinner consisting or Birria Tacos and Sausage stuffed Chicken Breast. To me that was a nice welcoming Card telling me to come right away instead of wasting more time ignoring the Place. You walk up 3 Steps and in you are greeted by the Owner's wife Sherryl, the Owner and the Head of Winfield's (Tab Daulton) is running the show making sure food gets pumped out of their Small Kitchen. While their son Thomas is at the Bar making Cocktails of the highest Quality with some of the most unique names that I've ever heard. My 1st visit was enjoying a Birthday Dinner with loved ones in the center of the Restaurant. While going over the menu, I had my 1st Cocktail called The Ghostwriter in a tall cylindrical glass that had Gin, Herbal Liqueur, Coconut, Lime, Lemongrass Syrup & Dill. Sweet and Herbaceous. Next up was some Fresh made Focaccia Bread studded with Rosemary, Garlic, Tomatoes and Zucchini that was so Warm and Flavorful like it just came right out the Oven. You know I like to drink Beer and cook with it too, I couldn't help but get myself a cup of their Beer Cheese soup with Bratwurst and Housemade Croutons. Every single Spoonful I took was Rich with a hint of Spicy heat at the end. Next up was a plate off Duck Confit Poutine with Goat Cheese (I opted for that instead of Cheese Curds). You might look at it and see a big globby mess but what I saw and what I ate was pure Gluttonous Heaven. French Fries, bits of Rich and Tender Duck Meat and mild and Tangy Cheese which equaled a comforting Bite. Next was another Cocktail I got called the Dirty Harry (named after one of Clint Eastwood's best-known roles). Another drink that hit hard consisting of Pineapple, Doctor Bird Rum, Boomsa Herbal Liquor and Banana Shrub Jam. While waiting for my main course, I tried some of Nathan's BBQ Pork Belly Burnt Ends. Who doesn't like tender Pieces of Meat with the outside bring Crispy while the Meat inside just melts away on your Tongue. For our Entrees, everyone enjoyed something different like Nathan and Brianna having Seared Chicken with Vegetables, Mike enjoying a Burger, Rick just getting a few Appetizers, Grandma Carol eating Fish Tacos, Jimmy and Kathy enjoying a Steak. While I got myself Seared Scallops over Sweet Corn Risotto with Tarragon. This looked to me and ate like a Summer Dish, why on earth was it on the Menu during close to Fall/Winter, I don't know. But I'll say this, I loved every bite, you get Sweetness from both the Seafood and the Corn with the Tarragon at the end giving it a light hit of Licorice. Thomas kindly gave me a Complimentary Drink while waiting for Dessert called the Legislation #2. It had Rye Whiskey, Dry Vermouth, Orange Cognac and Acidic Phosphate. While it had all those Ingredients, it was a simple looking Drink with a Jurassic sized Ice Cube in it. But I will say this, this drink packed one heck of a Potent Punch. To finish off the Meal, I got myself a big slice of Guinness Chocolate Cake. One of my favorite Beers has been Transformed into a Dessert. It had such a Deep chocolate Flavor with richness from the frosting packed in between each layer. I walked over and personally thank Tab and his Crew for the great Food that night. The only issue we had was waiting to get our Checks, but other than that everything went great. Another one to cross off my list, another restaurant that I will no longer Ignore. Winfield's better be ready for some more Visits from me in the Future. !!!

Unfortunately, that really wasn't our experience. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The entire place felt tired and dirty. The carpets looked heavily worn and stained, the booths had food stuck in the crevices, and overall it just didn't feel clean or well maintained. The dishes and drinkware didn't help. The coffee mugs, which were once white, were badly stained and dingy looking. My mother actually rubbed something off hers, and the waitress explained that it "wasn't dirty, just stained." Not exactly the best first impression, especially at $55 per person for brunch. We ordered mimosas after that, hoping things would improve, but even the champagne glasses looked questionable and were filled to noticeably different levels. Then the food arrived, and unfortunately it only got worse. Everything was served "family style," but there was no menu or explanation of what was coming. The meal felt random and poorly executed. Some highlights included: * A single store-bought pastry cut into pieces * Mac and cheese that tasted like boxed Velveeta * Deep-fried breakfast sausages * Ham that resembled warmed-up lunch meat * Three shrimp total for two people * A bowl of stew meat that felt completely out of place * An Eggs Benedict attempt that simply didn't work To make matters worse, some of the silverware and plates appeared dirty as well. By the end, we honestly couldn't wait to leave. The automatic $20 holiday service charge on top of the already expensive brunch really sealed the experience for us. Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had in quite a while.

Overpriced, Unsanitary, and Unprofessional - A $500 Disaster…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but our recent experience was truly appalling. We visited with a party of 11, including my 88-year-old grandfather. Despite the high price point--our bill was nearly $500--the standards of service and cleanliness were non-existent. The Issues: Accessibility & Cleanliness: There were zero handicap parking spots available. Inside, the restaurant was filthy; there was old food and trash under our booth, and the bathroom was in a state of neglect with toilet paper left on dirty surfaces rather than the holder. The Environment: We were greeted by stained, soiled paper menus and a swarm of fruit flies that stayed with us throughout the entire meal. Poor Service: We waited 50 minutes for basic dinner salads. My grandfather's coffee took 45 minutes to arrive. The waitress appeared visibly annoyed that she had to walk around our booth to serve us. Cheap Substitutes: For the price of a strip steak, you expect quality. Instead, we were served Aldi-brand steak sauce. When I asked for A1, I was handed a filthy, food-smeared bottle that was nearly empty. The "Refill" Incident: Our initial drinks were served half-empty. When we asked for refills, the waitress told us to finish our current glasses because they weren't free and she "didn't want to charge us." In the end, we were charged for them anyway. Overpriced Food: The French Onion soup is served in tiny metal bowls, not crocks. To top it off, we paid $22 for two "slices" of cheesecake to go--one of which was a literal sliver of cake. While the food itself was decent, no meal is worth this level of disrespect and lack of hygiene. I will never recommend this establishment.
