It's got a vibrant rustic-can, loud but comfy feel to it. The place looks cool inside and out, you just know this greasy spoon is going to have good food and it doesn't fail to provide it either! You can order anything and leave happy (from the apple pie to the pig, beef and chicken sandwich). They have booth seating, counter seating for one (or two) and offer outdoor seating with a little picnic table, shaded area and they also accept cash/credit. On the menu, there's pig, beef and chicken items, even a fish fry. They're great for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with or without friends/family. Known for their BBQ, in a variety of flavors, it's simply finger-licking delicious! I like coming here for breakfast mostly, love me some good home fries and a juicy steak. Portions are large and filling. I've also ordered take-out and picked up my order, the staff is super friendly and there's such an upbeat vibe to the place.

I had to hunch over to take a bit so I didn't get it all over me... great flavor and very delicious. It was a crazy order for me bec I usually keep it simple but this was calling my name. My server was great. She was super attentive and made sure my cup was never out of water. (I usually drink water when dining out) The place is def little so it gets packed quick. A couple booths and a couple tables. Maybe 10 total. Parking can be very tight in front so go to the back or side. I'll be back to try other things.

The place itself is inviting as you pull up, it's basically a victorian style house converted into what is a very cool, casual, dog friendly, brewery & eatery. The service was instantly friendly, inviting and knowledgeable about their beer selection. I tried several and all were really good. Note: if you like sours try the Cherry Cobbler sour it is over the top tasty! Also had the Cran Orange Ale which I could have drink a second one of easily too. Now on to the food... I am from Texas, and am a bit picky over BBQ, especially Brisket. Y'all there's nothing worse than a dry piece of smoked brisket... just sayin'. Anyway, I ordered a couple apps and the two meat plate with Chicken & Brisket, Beans, Slaw & the Mac Salad. Y'all, the brisket was moist tender and nicely marbled. I ate half of it before even opening the sauces! Same to be said for the Chicken, it was tender, with the perfect little hint of smoke, legit delicious! I highly recommend this spot when visiting the area... I will definitely be back my next time through.

I really love the woodsy and homey interior. Enjoyed lunch with my besties today. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Bourbon baked onion soup was especially delicious. But pricey. $12 for a croc. The Blue Ribbon platter $20 was a crowd favorite: Smoked ribs, fried chicken, coleslaw and mac & cheese. It did look delicious and I might be back for that next time. The shaved Brussels sprout salad was recommended from previous reviews, so I decided to try it. I failed to read today's menu closely. My bad. My fault. It's composed of pickled onions, cranberries, goat cheese, poppyseed dressing and smoked peanuts. And I'm not a fan of peanuts! I read previous reviews on yelp where this same salad was highly recommended but came with almonds. So at some point, peanuts were added and almonds were removed. Honestly, the salad was very tasty. But I do think almonds, pecans, or walnuts would be more compatible with this salad. But if you're a peanut lover, you're OK! I would return in the summer months when they have outdoor seating. Try something else from their menu.

Running a search on my…read moreYelp app for best restaurant for dinner, Skoob's Village Grille popped up and all-in-all, it was a good experience. I walked in around 7:20pm on a Wednesday night to a busy restaurant and bar. I had no issues with parking as I used one of the public parking lots near downtown and took a short walk over, but if tried to find a parking spot on the street, that would've been pretty difficult. I did see the parking lot for a, now closed for good, Rite Aid that had a few cars and some open spaces, so that seems to be an option as well. Upon walking in there was a host station, which said to wait for the host to seat you. Past the host station, there is a good-size bar and several high-top tables and chairs, a separate dining room with plenty of tables and chairs for families/larger groups, as well as an outdoor patio with more high tables and chairs. Plenty of TVs were hung up around the bar/restaurant and classic rock was playing over the speakers, but it wasn't too loud, you could carry a conversation with relative ease. The hostess was going to seat me but then a random couple came, ignoring the sign, and took it that table... The hostess managed to find me another high-top table by their outdoor patio entrance. After I was seated, I was forgotten about for nearly 15 minutes. I was about ready to get up and leave when one of the waitresses going in/out of the patio stopped by and asked if anyone was taking care of me. She apologized and immediately took my drink order. Once I got my drink, I was about ready to order dinner but was undecided, so I asked her what's the more popular item and went with it. The wait for my dinner was a bit long, nearly 40 minutes passed by the time my dinner was brought out - At this point, it was after 8pm. For dinner, I ordered their Chicken Finger Sub, with the fingers sauced in their "Jessie's Everything" specialty sauce (a small upcharge) and topped with bleu cheese served with a side of fries. The chicken finger sub was excellent! The chicken tenders were fried perfectly and there was the right amount of lettuce, tomato, red onion. The "Jessie's Everything" sauce was great - It wasn't too spicy-hot, the sauce reminded me of a banana pepper. The Constanzo roll with the tomatoes on the bottom did make this sub a little hard to eat as the filling kept sliding around and falling out the sides, but it was worth the mess! The fries were fine, nothing special. Looking over my bill, I thought the price for my dinner was reasonable for the quality and quantity I received. Skoob's Village Grille nails the vibe of being the bar in a small town where everyone goes to for a drink, classic bar food, and to relax with friends. If I have one nitpick, I think the service times need to be looked at and improved. But even with that nitpick, I'd come back and try one of their burgers or an order of chicken wings with one of their specialty sauces!

Our waitress was really nice and answered all of our questions. We sat outside because the nice weather in Buffalo is pretty short lived year round. I had a Philly hoagie, my dad had the chicken finger hoagie (he thinks it really was more of a sub) and my sister had the white pizza. The food was delicious by all of our accounts. My only tiny complaint is the tray liner was ripping when I cut my hoagie because it was too big to eat with my hands, that I ended up eating some of the paper, comes with the experience right?! Good food and good company. :) My apologies for not taking more food photos, we dove right in, everything was delicious.
