    Installing the top finishing coat
    Terry R.

I'm not sure if this is the correct TSR location for Huntly, Illinois, but I'll share my thoughts here. My wife had purchased a floor coating job last November For our four car garage as a Christmas present The job was supposed to have been done in April, but due to some health issues, I was unable to get everything out of the garage. We paid a $500 penalty for having to reschedule. The job was finally done today, and even though the Installers did an excellent job, I wasn't happy with the end payment result. I noticed today that they had a 60% coupon off of installation or free financing Being advertised good through the 28th of September. When the gentleman finished the job, he asked for payment, and I said Well, I'll have to check with my wife because she made the arrangements. He said the job was over $10,000.00. I was thinking to myself God, this is expensive, in my opinion, not worth the money. I discovered today that the original salesperson who handled the agreement when my wife signed up is no longer with the company. So I asked the installer. Please call the office for me so we can discuss this coupon with someone. I office told me that the coupon does not apply to sales that were previously arranged. After a discussion with the office manager, I said I would pay on a credit card today, but she informed me that there is a 3% handling fee for using a credit card. I explained to her that I do not have access to the checks, as my wife handles all the finances. So, the bottom line is that, even though this job was signed up for last November you would still think there would have been some sales prices for the off-season work, but they refuse to honor the current promotion. I said could you at least waive the $500 late fee as a courtesy and she said no. I asked if there was anybody else in the office I could discuss these issues with and I was told she is the final answer and she is the office manager. So the bottom line is as being an owner of construction company myself I thought that the price was slightly inflated since I used to do these paint jobs years ago, myself. I highly recommend that if you're doing business with this company, you get all of the facts in writing and know that if a better deal comes along, you are not able to get the deal today that may have not been available months ago. So basically as a result of their company policy, that's why I'm giving them a one star. I deal with all kinds of subcontractors on a daily basis. Most of my prices that I get are based off of time and material and I've got set prices with most of the contractors. But I can tell you for a fact that if this was Home Depot or Lowe's they would go and give you the best price available because they want to keep your business but being that this is a small franchise you're not gonna get any consideration on pricing. Just food for thought, even though this is a four car driveway you're paying about $3000 per floor since the total bill was over 11,500.00.

W had our 1100 s.f garage floor and the knee walls coated by TSR. I am very happy with the results. It's only been a couple of weeks, so get back with me in 20 years, but so far it looks great and we're moved back in. Really happy with the color we chose; it lightens up the whole space. I recommend TSR for polyaspartic coating. They arrived to prep the floor at 7:30, worked steadily until lunch when they left to let the first coat dry. Came back and finished everything by 3:30. I was impressed. Hard working bunch of guys.

    Garage floor completely restored!

TSR concrete coatings were outstanding from start to finish. The whole process was very smooth, from the initial consultation until the job was completed. All communications were clear, and my questions and concerns were always answered. The installation crew was very professional and skilled and knew what they were doing, and the finished product reflected that. They fixed all of the cracks and pits in my 38 year old garage floor and it came out looking better than new. I couldn't be happier.

    Great garage floor.

For a project that cost over $10,000, this level of failure in such a short timeframe is extremely disappointing and does not reflect reasonable workmanship standards. Total Paving is claiming a "1-year warranty," which we are unable to find.

Their expert analysis is I have excess water due to seeing a dirty gutter and per the work order they sealed it properly and I should have done it again by now. I've had concrete done before. Neighbors on the street have had concrete w/ similar driveways and I've never seen similar deterioration. Additionally and of course it was out of warranty. 2. On the day of the concrete pour I was informed the original design for the porch wouldn't work bc of our slope which we discussed at nauseum bc I knew it was a concern but again they were clearly not qualified. 3. I had to stop them mid-brick work in the back because they knocked down the existing brick and started to rebuild it the exact same way. I had to re-explain the new design to the team. Additionally they didn't slant it correctly or allow for the water to drain into the grass so after big rains excess water builds and slowly drains through unless I get out there to push it out. 4. They thought the brick around the grill in the pic below was an acceptable finish. (My entire neighborhood can see my backyard due to the way it sits btw). I asked them to replace the dark bricks to make it uniform and were given cracked and chipped replacements. At least its one color now I guess. Overall super disappointing experience because, we did our driveway one summer, landscaping the next, and just had our siding redone this spring and now the driveway is embarrassing.

I had seen their trucks in my area earlier in the week replacing a neighbor's driveway. I received their estimate, which looked reasonable, but before signing it I asked my lawyer to review it. Be aware that the contract has issues. Specifically -paragraphs 1, 7 and 11. Paragraph 1 - while it is fully understandable and reasonable that material and labor costs can potentially increase before the work is done, they provide no breakdown in the contract between labor and materials. If they request an increase, you have no idea what they are basing that increase on. Therefore, you should ask for a breakdown of labor costs vs material costs. Paragraph 7 - According to the law, it is the company's responsibility to notify Julie, not the customer's. And the company is responsible for any damage caused to utilities, not the customer. The customer has no way of knowing where the utilities are or how deep they are. Julie will give you and the company that information, but it's not up to the customer to monitor the company's work. Therefore, paragraph 7 needs to be stricken. Paragraph 11 - the contract asks for payment on completion so the customer is being asked to accept the work before the concrete is cured and can be driven on. At that point, the customer has no idea if there are defects. Therefore, paragraph 11 needs to be stricken or modified to say that final payment is due once the cure period is over, and the work has been deemed acceptable. The verbiage in Paragraph 3 also needs to be modified to reflect that payment is not due on the completion date, but rather when the concrete is cured and is acceptable. Beware of signing anything before you ask for a legal opinion. I asked the company to modify the contract accordingly and they declined. Therefore I am taking my business elsewhere.

Previously I did not have a driveway - just two gravel tracks. Manuel and his crew were done within DAYS, were super organized (the rest of my yard was literally untouched), and it looks amazing. My garage is set wayyyy back detached from my house, so it is a very long driveway - it's been over a year, and we love it. Several neighbors have asked for his info, even leaving notes in my mailbox, and everyone agrees that I brought up the whole block's value. This is a long-term investment that has already started to pay off. I'll also add that my village, in spite of my permit application being sent in in November, did not tell me until two months later in January that they were going to tear up my street, the gutters, and that everyone's apron (including my brand new beautiful apron) would be destroyed, to be fixed at my own expense. I reached out to Manuel, and without even telling me, the crew came and completely reset my paver apron once the road was done, just out of kindness. Talk about customer service, even after the project was done - thank you to you and your crew again, Manuel! Highly recommend all around for any size project you need.

I called Pratt Chimney and Steve came out within a couple of days to give his evaluation. We needed to have the chimney repaired, attic restoration for water damage, and drywall replacement and painting done. Steve worked us into their cramped schedule in order to prevent further damage as much as possible. Work was scheduled to start a couple of weeks after the estimate. Because heavy rain was expected before the scheduled work start date, Pratt came our and secured a tarp over the chimney areas to prevent further damage. Brad and his assistant were amazing, courteous, and hard working, completing the job with the required follow-up to allow concrete to set properly, perform water testing, et al. The thorough water test of the chimney and the flashing around it revealed further leak points which required full replacement of the flashing by a Pratt Sub-contractor. Final test showed no leaks. I was then able to schedule the other repairs that were required to complete the attic and room drywall damage abatement. One other thing, the original work was completed in June 2020 [I thought that I had entered a review at that time, but it appears that I did not :-(]. In May, 2022, We noticed water dripping in the basement from an apparent leak around a sewer vent pipe [not associated with the chimney]. I called Pratt to see whether I could get their sub-contractor who did the flashing on our chimney to repair this job. He was not available to me, so Steve sent one of his guys out [another super courteous young man], who went on the roof and caulked around the vent pipe, as well as the exposed nail heads there and around the attic vents. All I can say is that I would recommend Pratt's Chimney without hesitation!!!
