I've been doing business with Pascal since before he opened his shop, and I can't count the number of times he has helped me with computer crashes, cracked screens, broken charging ports, iPhone issues--you name it. Pascal is approachable, patient, and very knowledgeable about technology. Over the years, he has saved me a lot of money. He has never overcharged me or tried to upsell me on products or services I didn't need. He's honest and genuinely cares about his customers. That's why I continue to support his business. Well, this gem is a mile from my home and I couldn't be happier to know that "help" is sooo close. Parking lot holds many cars so double yay! My friend said it was a wonderful experience for her, especially with the removal of stress that had been hanging over her head... ( remember, 3 places could not fix her devices)... I locked back in, but soon became overwhelmed with the sheer volume of kids toys, and how much better they've gotten. I first spotted a X Shot Gatling Motor Soaker ($39.99), that is essentially a water cannon turret. It said ages 8+, but how could I not? My girlfriend had to talk me out of countless other 8+ items, but I might spin the block and buy them for myself. The advancement in nerf gun technology is fascinating. In total I spent $300 on toys and filled a life-sized stocking with toys for him, as my personal theme for his party was "Christmas in July." Best $300 I've ever spent. This is that unicorn you're looking for but never thought existed. I found Ian when I had what I thought was a refrigerator issue which turned out to be an electrical issue that burned the motherboard of my Sub Zero. I noticed immediately that unlike other companies, Ian spoke to me like I was a referral from a personal friend. He was helping to troubleshoot on the phone and text BEFORE charging an arm and a leg. And only after he had an idea of what the possible issues could be. An when two of his team ( his very competent sons obviously trained by Ian) came, they were super respectful and efficient in identifying the issue at the break panel and resolving it in the most efficient way. And they uncovered the issues was with the main electrical coming from SCE so Ian reminded me that because the issue was caused by them , that I can file a claim to get reimbursed. These guys solve problems like they would want others to solve it for their mom, sister, etc. And I am 100% certain They fixed the issue for no less than half of what another company would charge. After that I had a couple of smaller projects at our rental property : 1) replacing all the under cabinet lights in the kitchen - he sent me the link to the lights to get on Amazon so he wouldn't have to upcharge me for them and his price was again nearly half of what another company quoted 2) Converted all 6 recessed ceiling lights from some old Pre-code version to current LED. Now I was quoted over $1,000 for this by another company and they also said they had to cut into the ceiling and then patch to repair that. So we delayed doing this work for months until all but one light was still working but when the guys from South Bay Electric came they geniusly figured out that based on the type of box and connectors of the current lights, they could safely and to code use parts from a new system to do the conversion rather than replacing the entire system. If you appreciate tradespeople who are students of their art, who get a kick out of solving problems safely, efficiently and effectively, these are the folks you want to have your back. You can hear it in their voices, feel it in their attitude and witness it in their mastery of their skill. And during their lunch break they shared how they often try to help people who call solve their own issues if possible. They will give them instructions and tell them what parts to get because they feel bad charging people for work they could have done themselves. Recently, we called Ian to request his help with some repair work at my late father in law's house. Some lights and outlets weren't working and he provided a range of potential solutions to solving the problem and included implications as it relates to the involvement of the city. Equipped with full information we were able to determine the successful course of action. In this case - get this, the bill came in at 1/2 the price Ian quoted. Who does that? Anyways, all I know is that Ian and his boys are on my speed dial and I am a loyal customer for life!

There were a series of excellent reviews. I sent hima a message and he got back to me right away. When we spoke, Ian himself walked me through the troubleshooting over the phone. He suggested it could be a bad bulb connection (take it out and clean the contacts) or an issue with the wall switch. Sure enough, it turned out to be our dimmer switch -- it just couldn't hold the charge properly and was causing the constant flickering. What really stands out is that Ian could have easily scheduled a service call and charged me a couple hundred bucks to come out. Instead, he gave me the exact fix for free and saved me the hassle and expense. In a world where so many companies push for paid visits, this level of honesty and helpfulness is rare and genuinely appreciated. My initial review stated that I was forced to file a lawsuit against Brian Staller / Circuit Genius (legally known as: Performance Telecomm) for breach of contract. The matter is now permanently settled by the court. After the vendor filed an appeal, the Los Angeles Superior Court ruled in my favor and found Circuit Genius / Performance Telecomm liable for breach of contract. Owner Brian Staller calls this a "frivolous lawsuit" in his response to my initial review, but the facts prove otherwise. In his response to my first post, Brian called the lawsuit "bananas-level false" and "frivolous." The fact that I won a judgment against this company not once, but twice--once at trial and again on appeal--means that two judges ruled in my favor, finding Circuit Genius / Performance Telecomm in breach of contract. The court's decision validated the vendor's refusal to honor two key contractual agreements: 1. The Refund Scam: The vendor refused to process an agreed-upon refund for a Yamaha receiver (which the contract stated had "No restock fee if not wanted"). Instead, he attempted to coerce me into a "settlement" that required me to sign a document agreeing to no online reviews, legal proceedings, chargeback attempts or warranty support for work done. 2. Deceptive Practices: After agreeing in writing to return to my home and install a network rack at "no extra charge," he later refused to do so unless I paid a new 2-hour service minimum. He then withheld equipment that I had already paid for and refused to refund the cost of that equipment. **This Contractor is now a Regulatory Liability** More than six months after the final judgment, Brian Staller / Circuit Genius / Performance Telecomm has refused to pay the court-ordered debt. His failure to comply with the judgment has resulted in severe disciplinary action: 1. License Suspension: The Contractors State License Board (CSLB), has suspended his license for failure to comply with an outstanding civil judgment. (See CSLB Record for Performance Telecomm; License 117708). 2. Business Lien: I have filed a lien against this business to attempt to enforce the judgement owed (See State of California Notice of Judgement Lien; File No: U250127585224). This business employs deceptive practices and does not honor contractual agreements.
