We recently had P.F. Chang's cater a work lunch for about 50 people. I had not been in the restaurant for years so I was anxious to try their food again. There were three different boxed lunches to choose from. At first I tried the spicy chicken entree but was way too spicy for me. I then tried the shrimp entree and that was good. Shrimp were in the small size BUT were not overcooked which can be common. Also included was rice and a couple of potstickers and a sauce on the side. We also ordered a large container of edamame which were really good. What made me up this review to 4 stars was all of the accompanying sauces, packets of extras and presentation; they really thought of everything when they packed our order. Shout out to AMY ! While my son and two of his friends was having lunch , his friends phone died and he was unable to pay the bill. My son sent me a text, I called the restaurant but was unable to pay over the phone because they needed the actual card , so I placed a pick up order of my favorite pot stickers with white rice ,,,, 15 minutes I arrived to pay the bill and was greeted with warm smiles and never did my son or his friends get bad service. I wish I knew the servers name he was very pleasant and gave them great customer service. My sons friend learned a lesson about keeping phone charged but I want to make sure I gave a big shout out to AMY the wonderful manager and her team working the afternoon shift on 2/28/26 approximately 3pm! Came late night and ordered online for pick up. Place was completely empty and super dark ambiance. They have a take out section you can enter in from. This is my first time trying this place and my first thought was it's a pricey Panda Express. Food was mid. The wonton soup was lacking on flavor, brought was completely bland. The kung pao beef was alright in flavor but the beef pieces weren't tender and was coated in like a cornstarch for texture I guess. I did enjoy their green beans. We got the tofu fried rice and that was also lacking flavor and the tofu was too deep fried that it was dry and felt like you were chewing on rubber. The salmon cream cheese sushi roll was untouched, that was also deep fried. I despise deep fried sushi. My daughter did not eat it after 1 bite. I really don't understand how anyone would rate this place anything other than 5 stars. What's not to like? Is it not authentic enough for you? Is it too expensive? Maybe , but this is a different level and quality of ingredients. You get what you pay for people. I always opt for Mongolian beef because it is perfect. However , I did switch things up and tried the hot and sour soup and it was fantastic. I always save room for dessert. That chocolate cake is phenomenal , and the butter cake with ice cream was delicious. 5 stars from me - like usual. Went in a date with my hubby just him and I. We went to go look at shoes first and then decided let's take a walk and ended up here. I'm so glad we did because it fit the night so perfectly. It felt very intimate with the dimmed lights and the vibe. It wasn't busy at all. We got the dinner for two... and we still brought food home and were able to have another serving a little later. This place was super clean including the bathrooms The bar was not packed at all either... it wasn't loud inside so we were able to flirt and could hear each others jokes lol. After settling in to my hotel (Doubletree by Hilton) I need to eat. Unfortunately, there were no options for dinner in the downtown (city gov't center) area. I asked a hotel staffer and she told me I need to drive to the shopping area. Thank goodness for Google Maps. A 15-minute drive took me to large shopping center and right on the corner, a PF Changs. It was still in the high 90s and I was hot, tired and hungry. So it was a welcome sight so far from home. Again, I was so tempted to order an adult beverage, but with training the next morning, I opted of OJ. I had the pork egg rolls (nice!) and the black pepper chicken (hot!). The chicken was much more spicy than I thought and I tapped out halfway through. This guy can handle a little spice, but if I were to order it again, I'd ask if they could reduce it my 50% (not sure if it's possible). All in all, everything was good. I did eat like a tourist. The food was good.., we sat at the bar. The staff are not friendly and avoid eye contact. This is the second time there. I understand if you're a UFC fan... but it is preseason football and at least have both sports on. No smiles and you felt like you were bothering them for service. I think I'll try going for lunch rather than a Saturday evening. I like the bar area because it's fun on date night ... I just didn't feel comfortable. Crab wontons were over-fried to the point of dryness. Firecracker shrimp had tiny shrimp drowning in overly sweet sauce and chili oil basically a plate of oil and chili seeds by the end. The sushi? I've never seen shrimp disappear that fast. Microscopic pieces. The food wasn't awful but it wasn't worth the money. The service there, the lady looked really tired and didn't really care, they took their time and didn't seem happy to work there when taking our order. New years eve dinner was a great one at pf changs with my hubby! We had reservations so we didn't really wait and we sat at a nice booth which was a little more romantic than the rest of the tables. They have new and seasonal items so we made sure to try a few. For drinks we had the seasonal cranberry martini and the Japanese old fashioned. They were both excellent and memorable in the way that they wrre presented! The server let us record the opening of the smoke coming out of the old fashioned as he lifted the lid and him shaking and pouring the cranberry martini over the large ice cube with frozen fruit. My hubby has tried old fashions at many restaurants and this one was a little larger and had more flavor! I have recently been ordering more martinis and this one was definitely one of the best! Definitely felt the liquor but wasn't too strong, and it wasn't a super cranberry flavor. We tried a different appetizer than we usually get... the dynamite shrimp. We both decided we wouldn't get that again. The shrimp had alot of batter/breading and were a little mushy inside. We also ordered the broccoli beef, black pepper chicken, and the garlic noodles. The beef and chicken were ok but not as much as our favorites (Mongolian beef and Kung pao chicken) hubby liked the garlic noodles and we'll probably order again. Eventhough we were pretty full we ordered a desert. Our waitress mentioned we could get a half order and share it. One of my favorite deserts anywhere is the banana spring rolls... its so good with a few fresh berries and a scoop of a delicious icecream that reminds me of Hawaii... so tropical and unique. On Mother's Day my husband and daughter took me to P.F. Chang's for dinner. We have not been to this restaurant for a long time. One dish I really like is the Chilean Sea Bass. It is served with sautéed spinach and white or brown rice and a wonderful sauce. When I made the reservation for dinner, I asked if they still had this dish. I was disappointed that it was no longer on the menu! However, the hostess making the reservation said that while it's not on the menu you can make a special order. Apparently the entree is made available,by request, on special occasions. I asked for two servings of this delicious entree. My husband likes it too. P.F. Chang's a beautiful restaurant in the River Park Shopping Center. I was impressed with the service and friendly staff. Upon arriving we were seated for our dinner. (Making a reservation is a must!). I always get the dynamite shrimp as this is fast and delicious. The shrimp is always a delicious plumpy meat I enjoy biting into! Went to P.F. Chang's and was surprised they had a weekday lunch special for $15, party of three othree different plates plus a side appetizer of crispy potstickers. The deal also comes with one side. Mongolian beef was a little hard and not as tender as I remember. Also, the portion was much smaller compared to the other two chicken dishes imagine that. Honey chicken was delicious with fried rice as was the orange chicken with fried rice. It used to be going to P.F. In the last few visits, it feels like the quality deteriorated slightly (it was greasy) and portion was lighter than usual (granted we ordered to-go but I wouldn't expect a major difference). We walked in and had about a 5 minute wait. Once seated we could see it was busy but our server Terrance continually communicated he would be right with us. We ordered the lunch specials. Food is obviously delicious. Mongolian beef is really really good. Terrance had recommended a hot green tea that was very nice. The restaurant is beautiful. My wife and I stopped by to have dinner at 7:30 P.M. We were brought to our table fairly quickly, there were two other small groups of 5 people in each group, and just the two of us. We eat here quite often, even the waiter has our order memorized, there were 3 employees rearranging the tables, and 3 or four waiters and waitresses, we sat there for almost 20 minutes not one employee acknowledged that we were even there, so we proceeded to leave and we spoke with the manager, and told her about our experience, and we also stated we will never return to this restaurant ever again. Dined here with a group of friends and was reminded why expectations should always be kept low. My Mongolian beef arrived with a very noticeable hair mixed into the dish. I attempted to flag down our server, but after several minutes of waiting, I had to ask a different server for help. The remake was brought out by a "senior manager," Dustin, who set the plate down, said a quick "sorry about that," and immediately walked away, no explanation, no follow-up, no attempt to check in afterward. When the check arrived, there was no adjustment whatsoever. Not even a small gesture, which was surprising, considering a hair in a meal is usually considered more than a minor inconvenience. I asked to speak with Dustin, who responded with, "We remade the food, was there an expectation for us to do something more?" I suppose that answers the question. While the food was replaced, the customer service was not. A comped dessert or any acknowledgment beyond the bare minimum would've gone a long way. This was our second time coming here in like 1-2 years. Came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy. I would agree that the music doesn't go with the ambiance of the restaurant but I don't care about the music , only the food. Lol Food was okay. Nothing amazing and I hate to say this but I would have rather ate Panda Express (I love their Kung Pao Chicken) or at a small business... The rice as well was okay. Dumplings were good! I had never been to a P.F. chang's before. We were told the food was good and to give it a try. I didn't like the bright lights at the table. The music that was playing didn't go with the atmosphere. It needs a vamp up. I could see this place being more of a moody vibe with the red paint. Our drinks were good! Enjoyed the sangria. The server told us the food portions were family portions so we ordered an entree (spicy orange chicken) and the side (fried rice). The portions weren't family size. It wasn't much food. Yes a bit more than what would be in a regular plate but definitely not family size. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and those were delicious. A long time PF Chang's customer, we decided to stop for dinner on the way home. $100.00 later we left very disappointed. The portions were generous but lacking in the expected flavor. The Spicy Chicken dish lacked any hint of spice and tasted like Orange Chicken. The brown rice was white, maybe a very light tan from a sun lamp... bland. The crab wantons (picture) were over cooked (dry) and lacked any hint of crab. (Sauce was still ok). Overall, as returning long term customers, we were very disappointed. My roommate took me out to lunch today. I had the Miso Salmon- delicious!! We started with the lettuce wraps which were superb! And finished off with banana wrapped in the egg roll wrappers and fried. With a caramel sauce drizzled over them with blueberries and strawberries on the side with coconut- pineapple ice cream! Everything was absolutely amazing. But to top it all off, Bree, our server was phenomenal!! She was so brilliant at her job she made us feel so special! She pointed us towards what would be the best way to complement our meal. What base worked better with what entree. (Brown rice works better with saucy dishes and so forth) . We went with a group on Sunday for dinner. We had already promised ourselves that we would not return but this party was organized by someone else. P.F. Chang's used to be so good. Everything was fresh like it just came out of the Wok. Well fast forward to yesterday and it's definitely not the same. My husband ordered the lettuce wraps. I ordered Mongolian Chicken with fried rice we also got a sparkling water and a sprite. Since we had a large party. They added gratuity of 20% on to the bill. Our cost was $75. Everything tasted like it came out of a package and they added sauce. The fried rice was definitely not fresh and considering the up charge of $3.00 it should have been. We love this place. Beautiful Ambiance and very helpful service. We live in Clovis and we were gifted a certificate here. We didn't realize how great this place is. Every thing we ordered came plated on nice service plates and arranged quite nicely. Our Server Mickey was so kind and likable and knew his menu like a pro and helped with his knowledge in our ordering. A new menu item was added called pork belly tacos and served in Bow bun wrap like taco and it is so delicious. Every dish was Gourmet Quality and super delicious. Anxious to go back .
