Tsukiyo Sushi has a great dinner set deal! We ordered two dinner sets and each had 12 pieces of sushi and a bowl of miso soup. We also ordered the uni pasta to supplement the dinner set. The sushi was fresh and high quality for the price. There was a lot of variety and the rice already had soy sauce so additional soy sauce was not needed (although you could if you wanted to). The uni pasta was very rich and filling. The service was very attentive and quick. We sat in the private room and was able to reserve ahead of time. Would highly recommend trying out the sushi here.
Food was amazing all the sashimi pieces were melt in your mouth good! The lunch and dinner set is worth the deal, everything was amazing. It came w a side salad and miso. The service was attentive and kind. The restaurant is a great place to sit and chat.
Visited 6/27/26 - Oyster Crudo 5 Delicious, fresh, and sweet. Amazingly well prepped not a single piece of the shell inside and went down smoothly. - Edamame Complimentary No notes. Pretty standard. - Sushi Set Dinner 35 Fresh and creative for the price! If you are looking for good sushi in a casual environment this is the place. Each piece great but stand outs were tuna, salmon, and unagi. I also loved how it ended with traditional tamago! - Miso Butterclam Nabe 25 Creamy and decadent! They provide a bucket for the clams, which was a great touch. It was served warm with a tableside fire! I loved the potato inside, for a lack of better words I'd say this was an asian version of clam chowder! Would order again. Overall a great spot for weekly date night, I would avoid sitting at bar. Theres not much space and theres no real value add since no performance. It's also loud with servers coming in and around for other table orders. There is a bit of a queue due to them blowing up on TikTok. Come early and put your name down!

I really like their lunch set which is only 25$ The fish is fresh & great quality I would say their ala carte sushi is a little bit on the higher end but the quality reflects it! Their uni pasta is actually my favorite Not too heavy but sweet and creamy! their parking is a busy lot so try for street parking! Service is excellent!
If you are looking for top-tier, high-quality sushi in Koreatown, Tsukiyo Sushi is an absolute gem. I ordered their Chirashi bowl, and I was genuinely blown away by how remarkably fresh the fish was. Finding truly fresh sashimi in LA can sometimes be a hit-or-miss experience, but Tsukiyo sets a incredibly high standard. Each slice of fish was cut generous and thick, with a clean, naturally sweet flavor, buttery texture, and zero fishiness. You can immediately tell they source premium ingredients and treat their fish with expert care. The sushi rice underneath was also seasoned just right, perfectly complementing the seafood. Beyond the incredible food, what makes this place extra special is their seating! They have private, authentic tatami rooms, which offer a traditional Japanese dining experience that is so unique and rare to find around Los Angeles. It creates such an intimate, serene atmosphere--perfect for a special night out or gathering with friends. Between the exceptional quality of the seafood, the lovely service, and the wonderful tatami room setup, this has quickly become one of my favorite sushi spots in the area. Highly recommend!
Was visiting La over the weekend and found this spot on Yelp. Came with two other friends and the reviews do not lie or disappoint. Waited about ~20-30 minutes at 6 pm and ordered a variety of dishes. Their menu is pretty extensive and they make everything really well. From the huge sushi rolls and nigiri to pasta and potato salad and even the soup (nabe) nothing was a miss. Highlights for me included the tuna/salmon nigiri, uni pasta, and potato salad. Service was also friendly and food came out quickly! Drinks were also a hit- we ordered a variety of highballs (umefizz, midori, and yuzumi)
Visited with a group of 4 and ordered several things to share Uni pasta: complete miss, wasn't a fan of this at all. Could barely taste the uni Cinco de aburi: the shrimp was the group's favorite Bengal roll: I liked this better than the angrytail Angrytail roll: good Yellowtail carpaccio: nothing special Highly recommend the cinco de aburi and order whatever else is appealing to you!
Amazing experience. Parking is tough but this is LA. We found a spot in the neighborhood near by and it's healthy to walk. We came here for the first time and they suggested a room. You must remove your shoes but you get a small room with a low table but there is a space or hole in the floor for your feet. We had one of each of the two specials and were not disappointed. Great presentation and better taste. You won't be disappointed.
I think I just found my favorite sushi spot in LA. I've eaten here twice in one week and somehow managed to order almost everything on the menu. Going in, I didn't have the highest expectations since it's a Korean sushi restaurant, but I was completely proven wrong. The fish is incredibly fresh, clean, and well prepared. The quality honestly rivals places that charge two or three times as much. I've been to Nobu, and I'd pick this place over it any day. The individual pieces are very reasonably priced, which makes the value even more impressive. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. It feels like a small hidden sushi spot you'd stumble upon in Japan. I especially love the seating area in the back where you take your shoes off. It makes the whole experience feel cozy and authentic. Service is quick, friendly, and efficient. The drinks are fine, but the food is the real reason to come. Even the appetizers are generous. I ordered the tofu and squid legs, and there was already enough food to share before the sushi even arrived. Every time I come here, I end up overeating because I want to try everything. That's probably the best compliment I can give a restaurant. Parking can be a little crowded, but there is street parking nearby. If you come at the right time, you may be able to avoid dealing with valet altogether. Great food, great prices, great service, and an atmosphere that keeps me coming back. Finding this place was a complete accident, but it's officially my go to sushi spot in LA.
By far one of the best Uni I've had. Uni was sweet and creamy without fishy taste or smell at all. Sweet shrimp was nice too but Uni was the best. Sashimi rolls were nice. Yellowtail collar was good but a bit burnt. Rolls Royce was a bit disappointing for me and was the reason I took one star out. The color of negitoro was really not good but I let it pass because Uni and sweet shrimp made up for it. Service was nice. They were quite busy so we had to sit at the bar. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my meal here.
Overall this place was solid! The rolls were great - the tables are fun (we sat in the section where you take your shoes off and sit in the lowered floor table. We came on a Friday night at 8:30p and were quoted 40-50 mins but somehow their reservation system glitched and we ended up waiting 1 hour and 30 mins. The staff was super apologetic and comped our appetizers and dessert. Honestly super nice staff and we felt very taken care of - Mary was the best! The only flag is that the table next to us were told by a waitress that they could get free ice cream with a review on yelp. But once they did the review and showed it to the waitress, they asked them to change it to 5 stars and it got uncomfortable. Valet parking in the lot! Also street parking on wilshire. Would come back!!
Tsukiyo Sushi was absolutely wonderful, though there was quite a wait. They didn't accept reservations when we went on a Friday night, but they were so accommodating with my request since we were there to celebrate my partner's birthday, and I wanted a private room that felt like we were back in Japan. You take off your shoes, and there is an opening where you can place your legs and feet underneath the table. I ordered the uni cream pasta for $19.00, and it was delicious and very filling. My partner wanted the bento box with 2 items, which included options for different rolls, teriyaki, and tempura. Service was excellent, and the vibes were so cool. I highly recommend it if you're in K-town and looking for delicious Japanese food. Parking is valet at night in a small but popular lot. We were lucky and found street parking.

Came here on a Friday around 6pm and it was already packed. It's a small spot tucked in the corner of a plaza. They even have a Yelp Top 100 2026 sign so you know people are coming for it. We put our name down and waited about 30 minutes before getting seats at the sushi bar. We were starving so we ordered a lot for just two people. Started with the 12 piece chef's special nigiri which seems to be what everyone orders. For the price and quality it's a really good deal. We also added extra pieces like black cod, sweet shrimp, and scallops. Everything tasted fresh. The Tsukiyo roll was solid, clean and crisp. The uni pasta was super rich and creamy with a strong uni flavor. One dish that surprised me was the oden. Huge portion with a lot of fish cakes and a really good broth. The monkfish liver was excellent and came with ponzu jelly which was a nice touch. The Rolls Royce handroll (uni, amaebi, toro) was one of the highlights of the night. Super rich and loaded, hard to go wrong with that combo. I also got the saba bozushi which I liked, but it does have that stronger fishy flavor Iykyk. Overall everything tasted fresh and I can see why they got that award. Even though it was busy, service was still solid and we were taken care of. Definitely a legit spot and I'm looking forward to coming back. read more

Came on a Tuesday night and waited about half an hour. Ambience is really bright and modern with a bar and private rooms / booths available! Josh was our server and he took fantastic care of us, constantly checking if we need anything and reassuring us when our orders came late + giving recommendations and overall being a really kind server! We ordered -- salmon nigiri x2: super delicious and fresh! toppings on top really elevated the sushi -- yellowtail nigiri -- house udon: a little fishy but tastes homemade! -- cinco de aburi: everything tastes a little smoked but a good way to get a variety without breaking bank -- smoke bomb: comes w presentation + rly good and a diff taste from what im used to! i would recommend this over the crispy rice tuna Overall, I totally understand the hype and looking forward to coming back! :) read more

Finally tried the sushi here and omg I was blown away by how good it was! I got lucky and found street parking nearby. I ordered the cinco de aburi, salmon sushi, house oden nabe, and Death Valley roll. Omg the cinco de aburi was sooo good I ordered a second plate after I inhaled it so fast! The salmon sushi was so fresh and buttery too. Our table shared the house oden nabe and Death Valley roll - the nabe was so tasty, I'd def order this again next time! The Death Valley roll was good too but I'd order a diff roll to try for next time! Highlyyy recommend their cinco de aburi, it was so delicious! Can't wait to come back for this dish and try more things on the menu! read more
A great sushi bar with a cozy vibe, really popular for date night! The dishes and sushi are delicious, though it can get a bit crowded at peak hours. I really love their oysters and the two piece mackerel dish. A couple of notes: - Valet parking only in the lot (as is customary for ktown), though it isn't all that expensive (as is customary for ktown) - A lot of the dishes and rolls trend toward being spicy, so people who don't enjoy spice might want to stick to nigiri - The cocktails are VERY sweet - too much for my palette, and they can't adjust the drink at all (it's premixed) so be warned. read more

Honestly, not worth the long wait. Staff weren't very friendly and service is slow. Their menu doesn't list all of the ingredients and they don't bother to ask if you have any allergies. This is a serious issue and can cause a lot of harm! The complimentary edamame was nice. We got a few different nigiris, which were all really good. The rolls - mehh. Most of the roll options have fake crab in it, which I guess would explain how the rolls aren't as expensive as other places. We got the Bengal Roll (came with mayo on it, which was not stated on the menu, and we had to send it back because I can't have mayo. Was good, but nothing special) and the Aburi Tuna Roll (came with wasabi hidden away and I hate wasabi. It ruined the entire roll for me and I had a hard time enjoying anything after because I couldn't get rid of the flavor). What an unfortunate time. Getting 2 rolls with hidden ingredients in it and unfriendly staff made this place a huge disappointment. Not top 100 for me. Would give 3 stars if the staff was friendlier. read more

My friend took me to this place for lunch the other day and omg it truly is the best lunch deal in town! For $25 you can get an entire sushi set and omg everything was so fresh and delicious. I love how there are little private rooms around the whole restaurant also. Everyone was so attentive and friendly- the service was amazing. 10/10 definitely adding this place to my list! read more
First time here and I LOVED it! Came around 3 PM on a Friday and was seated immediately. They led us to a unique room where you sit on floor chairs and take off your shoes, which made the experience really memorable. They do also have regular tables in the restaurant. Prices weren't bad considering the quality of the fish, and the rolls were excellent. I ordered the Vegas Roll and the Baked Alaskan Roll, both were super flavorful and delicious. Service was very kind and attentive. There's parking in both the front and back lots, but both were full when we went, so we ended up using metered street parking. Overall, definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. read more
Ambiance: Beautiful ambiance. Very clean restaurant with Japanese interior. Seating options are booths, sushi bar or a beautiful private(ish) room where you sit down on the floor. Food: Appetizers: Fried squid - 4/5 Takoyaki - Out of this world perfect. I am super particular about takoyaki, and most places mess up the ratio of the octopus and batter (too little octopus and too much batter). Salmon collar: 5/5 Everything else: uni pasta, Bengal roll, uni sushi, ikura sushi, tobiko sushi The uni pasta's cheese flavor wasn't so prominent, which allowed the uni to shine. Ironically, it was less uni than Bengee Sushi's in Ontario but I felt the taste of the uni was more showcased here. The Bengal roll was perfect and had a great blend of flavors. What I enjoyed the least was the tobiko sushi - it was good, but I prefer masago. I think tobiko functions better as a garnish and isn't as tasty as a sushi by itself. The quality of all the sushi was A+. There are fewer rolls on the menu that don't have imitation crab, but the Bengal was one of them and we enjoyed it. Service: Wow, the food came out instantaneously. Luckily, there was only one table when we came. The servers were all very attentive and polite. Great service! The value for everything you get here is great. Affordable. About $200 including tip for our meal. Less expensive than Bengee Sushi in Ontario ($300). Parking: It's in a business plaza. You have to make sure you're not parking in a 15 min parking for the Subway or smoke shop. Otherwise, there are parking spots. We did pay a guy $4 for "valet" and he parked in the plaza. Inevitably, when we were leaving a car came and paid the valet to park in our spot. So, depending on how busy the parking lot is and if you'd prefer to just pay for the convenience... up to you. read more
Was craving for uni pasta and we were at ktown again and this restaurant was one of the top choices in yelp. We arrived past 2pm and they told us they only have a room available and to my surprise it is a cute little room - hirigotatsu type seating. So you get the experience but you can stretch your legs. There's no sliding door so it doesn't feel claustrophobic, there's a call button if you need service. Since this is izakaya type they have cocktails and alcoholic drinks which for this visit I didn't try. I ordered my uni cream pasta, my son had halibut carpaccio and we are sharing 3 sushi items - albacore, yellow tail and kanpachi. We started with the carpaccio is good and fresh, the quality of fish is pretty good value based on the price points. My uni pasta is really creamy. Might be a little too dense for me. But if you like creamy ans rich then this is a good choice. Would definitely go back and bring my other son when we're in the area. read more

Came here for an early Father's Day celebration. Drove 30 mins from Long Beach and worth the drive! The ambiance felt authentic Japanese, sitting on the floor. Sushi items were fresh, didn't taste fishy at all. Everything was good from the salmon nigiri to the uni pasta. Service was fast and efficient. I recommend all the items pictured! Will come back to bring friends and family. read more

My favorite sushi spot in LA. I love the little personal rooms. The service and presentation was very fast. The seared yellowtail here is my favorite thing ever. I could eat 20 of them. The yuzumi was so refreshing to wash everything down. read more
AMAZING soft shell crab wow. It was so tasty and fresh, came out steaming hot. The service was great too and I came kind of close to closing time. It's a smallish place but it wasn't cramped or anything. They had the game going so with some drinks and their amazing food, 10/10 spot. I highly recommend this place for good, fresh quality food and drinks. It's a hidden gem, you wouldn't expect such freshness from a place tucked away in the corner of this little shopping area. We got the lunch sushi set, chirashi don, mentaiko cream pasta, and uni cream pasta, and everything was amazing! The fish was fresh and amazing value for a lunch set. Food: I came here for a long‑overdue catch‑up lunch with my college friend, who was visiting from Texas, and Tsukiyo Sushi absolutely shined. It ended up being the perfect setting too, since I also got to invite her to my upcoming wedding ceremony. We ordered the Sushi Lunch Set, which was beautifully presented, decadent, fresh, and full of flavor in every bite. The quality truly exceeded expectations, and it's a standout value in Koreatown. We also got the mentaiko cream pasta, incredibly creamy with perfectly al dente noodles. The highlight of cozy comfort was the oden nabe, warm, hearty, and balanced in flavor, not too sweet or salty. We were stuffed and so happy by the end. Price: Tsukiyo Sushi sits in the very reasonable range for Koreatown, especially given the quality and freshness of the dishes. We had high expectations coming here after an afternoon at LACMA due to the very positive Yelp reviews. We arrived about 5:30pm on a Tuesday. The restaurant is in a corner of a small two story strip mall. Fortunately there is valet parking for $4 but they do not validate. The chefs and waitresses were very friendly and nice. Service was great too. Unfortunately the sushi was disappointing. We sat at the sushi bar. The presentation cases with the fish were not full of fresh fillets but probably end pieces from the lunch time service. We ordered their sushi sampler dinner which came with lukewarm miso soup and a simple lettuce salad with a purple colored dressing. Sushi pieces were thin and the rice had some sauce in it. Overall pricing is very fair, nice atmosphere with attentive and friendly workers. UmeFizz Light plum whiskey(?) with slight carbonation, it wasn't too strong but you could still taste the alcohol. We prefer sweet and fruity drinks and this was delicious Mentaiko Pasta So creamy and tasty. The sauce was similar to a crab bisque. Roe had some spice to it. One bite and we decided we were coming back again someday Seared Salmon So rich, the pepper and sear were perfect Scallops Sweet earthy taste. I've been here several times and each time hits! This is my favorite sushi place in Koreatown. Everything is so fresh, tasty, and aesthetic. The staff is responsive, friendly, and very approachable. I've gotten the chirashi bowl, the crab sushi, the lunch set, etc etc and genuinely everything was a 10/10. When I have friends visiting or if they are craving sushi, this is the place I recommend. It's a smaller restaurant with a high attention to detail, authentic vibes, and delicious food. And everything is priced very affordably. What more can you want? P.S. There is a free parking lot for easy parking. If you can't find a parking, there is a lot of metered parking. I have never found myself looking for parking long. What felt like a quick flight to Japan. You're greeted by the entire staff upon seating, which is also traditionally floor level in the larger rooms. Main room offered high top tables and chairs. The food was great. I loved the mackerel though I wasn't a fan of the halibut. My partner enjoyed their chicken teriyaki bento box. Had the house hot sake which was tasty.
