Had the best experience. AYCE with a huge selection of nigiri, sushi rolls, baked sushi rolls, crunch rolls and appetizers. There was a large selection of classic rolls in addition to specialty rolls with fun, novelty names. They even serve half rolls so you don't fill up on one roll and can try more. With the AYCE they allow one item per person from the Hello Fish Specials and a few other items but unlimited quantities of everything else. Everything tasted very fresh and was beautifully presented. The most amazing thing was that the nigiri was a large portion of fish on a small mound of rice. Service was helpful, friendly, and fast. The server made other recommendations for items they were out of and recommended other things we hadn't considered. Empty plates were constantly being cleared. The space has a sushi bar and tables inside with a small outdoor patio space. We were seated outside and were concerned that the servers wouldn't come around as often but they were always at the ready. My girlfriend and one of her friends had been wanting to try this AYCE sushi spot for a while, so we finally made the drive up from OC to K-Town to check it out. We originally went to the Wilshire location, but it was packed with about a 1-hour wait. The staff there were super helpful though--they let us know about another location about a 10-minute walk away, called ahead for us, and told them we were coming. That alone was a really nice touch. We walked over to the second location and got seated immediately. The restaurant has a darker, moodier ambiance, and the menu is all on a QR code, which made ordering pretty simple and convenient. For the AYCE menu, you're allowed to order one of each "special" item per person, which honestly made it feel like a more affordable, low-key omakase experience. We all decided to start there, and I really appreciated being able to try such a wide variety of items for around $55. I'll be honest--because I have a bit of a mental block with certain food textures, this was a mixed experience for me personally. I ended up liking about half of what I tried, and the other half I'd take a bite of and pass along to my girlfriend or our friend's fiancé. But even then, I still really enjoyed the experience of getting to try so many different things in one sitting. One thing I loved is that they allow half rolls on the AYCE menu, which makes a huge difference--you can try way more without getting too full too quickly. If I had to rank the items I tried, from favorite to least favorite: Screaming Orgasm, Salmon Poke, Double Trouble, Spider Man, Double Dragon, Harasu, Mackerel, Blackjack, Toro, Cajun Salmon, Salmon, Ama Ebi, Hirame, Orange Salmon, Ikura, Uni, Awabi. This is my go-to spot for all-you-can-eat sushi because of the great quality and wide variety of options. But the reason I wanted to leave a review this time isn't just about the food. On Wednesday, I accidentally left my USB at the restaurant. At first, when I called, the staff couldn't find it. I tried again later, and one of the employees told me they had found it and kept it safe for me. I used to drive all the way from LA to OC for good AYCE sushi until I found Here Fishy! They have a great discounted late night special (from 10 pm - close) that I LOVE and all of their items are super high quality. A bonus is that they have a parking lot (super rare for K-Town), and I believe it's free the entire day! I especially like how you can order item by item, so you don't have to commit to a large order for a limited amount of rounds. It makes it much easier to get your money's worth for AYCE and not stress about leftover items. The waitstaff were also super friendly. Our server Joon was very attentive, always checking if we needed anything else, or giving us recommendations for what to order. I like this location much better than the one on Wilshire. We opted for the "late night special" which is AYCE for lunch price at $40/pp. you just don't get to order anything off the special menu, which we didn't mind. The special menu also limits you to 1 piece per menu item person so if you're only a fan of a couple things on there, it's not worth it imo. We ordered a bunchhhhhhh of stuff and majority was pretty bomb. I was pleasantly surprised! I love how they put the smallest amount of rice on their nigiri, that alone separates them from most AYCE spots. Whatever they put on their garlic edamame is really delicious! And very addicting! I wanna start by saying I'd give this place 4.5 stars if I could, because I think this is the best AYCE sushi spot in LA. It beats out Aikan, Hikari, Neo...you get the point. The quality is pretty solid, especially for AYCE, and the variety can't be beat. At $54.99 per person, you may be spending 5-10 dollars more than other places, but you're absolutely getting the best value AND they're open til 2 am. My partner and I came here on a Tuesday night around 9 pm. The place is cute, with pinky-purple neon signs with Instagrammable quotes like "feed me sushi and tell me I'm pretty." We were seated immediately, and the waiter was super prompt and friendly with anything we needed. We started by trying all of the premium "one per person" options and then branched out to other stuff on the menu. Our favorite bites off the specials were the Awabi--seared abalone with kizami wasabi that just oozes buttery charred goodness in your mouth, Harasu--salmon belly with kizami wasabi, Hotate--jumbo scallop served on a cucumber slice with kizami wasabi and smelt eggs, and of course, both expressions of their Toro. Honorable mention for their Hirame, as well. Some appetizer standouts are the tako wasabi (SO good, please try it!) and their skewers! We love the bacon scallop skewer and the bacon asparagus skewer. I'd pass on their takoyaki. On their regular menu, we loved the garlic bluefin tuna and the garlic salmon (something about that garlic sauce is crack). We also loved the yuzu yellowtail, unagi, snapper, and the MACKEREL!!! To be honest, their non-sauced tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and albacore were all mid, but the rest of the pieces we mentioned make up for it. We don't really order rolls, so we can't speak to that. Next time, I'd be very curious to try more of their Korean dishes, because we tried their bulgogi yubu and it was quite tasty! This was our second time here, and it was so much fun to continue exploring the menu. We outlasted two other tables that came in after us, and made full use of their 90 minute time limit. The way I see it: sometimes you want to have delicious, traditional, masterfully crafted sushi. And sometimes you want to shove as much pretty-decent sushi as you possibly can into your face. I could eat 10 of their scallop sushi.. it's served with some kind of cream (maybe mayo?) and some furikake or seaweed. I love their appetizer options such as crispy rice with spicy tuna or salmon taco. This place is amazing as a date night spot or a big group dinner too. Highly recommend starting with the 13 course taster. Favorites were orange salmon, toro, and harasu, and it does tend to fill you up with solid fish. Delicious and very worth the visit! I've been to their flagship on Wilshire and have been to this location twice. Same menu, the only difference is this restaurant has a $4 valet (other place is validated free parking, I believe) and this one allows reservation on weekends. My boyfriend and I get the premium items first (one item limit per person). So that's 13 premium items to start. Our favorites were: spider man, harasu, toro, hotate, and double trouble. Then we go on for the rolls. We love soft shell crab so the spider and the spicy spider are great. Double Shrimp and the Lobster rolls are good too. We end the AYCE sushi with miso soup and then when we close out the bill, some ice cream (green tea, chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry!) Overall, come hungry and you'll get your moneys worth easily. The bill came out to around $300, but honestly, for the amount and quality, it made sense. The nigiri was super fresh. The toro especially, insanely soft, just melted as soon as I bit into it. The tacos are a must, really flavorful, and the crispy rice with spicy tuna was probably my favorite bite of the night. If you're planning to go hard, maybe hold back on the rolls at first, good, but they'll fill you up fast. Service was on point. They were quick, friendly, and everything came out fast, which made the whole experience smooth. We were done in about an hour and left completely stuffed. Came here with a party of 16. The total bill was $1200 (with tax/tip). Onto the review: I was very disappointed in this place but I had seen the reviews of it being overhyped by social media. And based on my experience here, it was definitely overhyped. The food itself was really much of a disappointment. You can only order the really premium fish or special dishes once per person (ok fine, that's pretty standard at most places). But at this pricing, I expected even the AYCE items to be at least great quality. No, the salmon had very little fatty striations. The seared tuna and salmon had a ton of mayonnaise-based (?) sauce all over it (way too much, nobody liked it and we had to force ourselves to finish it). Then we tried it without the sauce, still not good. The Cajun seared tuna tasted like someone dumped a whole bag of salt on it. I mean, it felt like everything we ordered was NOT GOOD! I did like the Harasu very much though (salmon belly-special), but you can only order that once. Nothing stood out to me at this restaurant and everybody in the party at my table seemed to have negative things to say. The service seemed a bit chaotic. There's no organization to the ordering, you just order whenever you want. But it's probably because we had 16 people and our tables got split up; they apparently tried to make one table order for both. But that doesn't work, the first table wouldn't know what the second table wants to eat. Each table ended up ordering their own food. It was the most disorganized service I have ever seen at an AYCE establishment. When you're in LA and you're in the mood for all you can eat sushi, this is the perfect place to be. First thing you need to know is that this is a popular place and there's always a line especially during peak hours so make sure that you get there right before they open- otherwise you are going to wait between 30 minutes to an hour and a half wait. My two favorites are the softshell crab, and the Toro sashimi. The rest of the sushi tasted very fresh, juicy, and sweet. The servers wrecked very efficient and served our orders quickly. The AYCE price has increased to $54.99, and there was no HH specials on a Saturday night like last time. However, Soju prices decreased to $10 which is a really reasonable price. The menu has changed as well- we did the section of special orders where it's one per person and those dishes have changed - but all were FANTASTIC. Especially the salmon with orange, soft shelled crab, and this tuna with truffle. I also loved the crispy rice with spicy tuna, and their sashimi is unparalleled. Fresh, huge pieces of fish with just a little bit of rice underneath- a perfect balance! I ate my full of sashimi and did one simple salmon roll which was delicious. I didn't realize it was all you can eat, and opted for the al la carte option, but if I could go back, I'd do all you can eat (which I think is around $50ish a person). Came to this spot for the AYCE sushi, and walking in the place looks cool. The space was not very big, so we ended up getting sat upstairs. There were TVs and cool lighting but it was too dark and muggy. The menu had several options, so we started out with veggie and shrimp tempura and a bunch of skewers, the best being the bacon wrapped asparagus and poke tacos. The service was good and helpful. The table had a button so we could call if we needed anything, so that was nice. The favorite sashimi were the tuna, yuzu yellowtail, salmon, and albacore.
