This is the worst nail salon I've been to in a LONG time. I was so thankful to come in last minute with ANN August 5th at 6:45 pm before going out of town the next day. I got a dip manicure. Some of my nails were filed a little misshapen, but all in all it was a pretty good job and the women were so lovely so I tipped very generously and planned to return! I have been getting dip manicures for at least a year now, and my usual woman was busy. I have never had a set not last 2 weeks at least, usually stretching into 3/3.5 weeks. That's why I get dip vs. no chip. It lasts way longer. When I left TT Nails August 5 at 8:15 pm, even the technician ANN said "see you in 3 weeks!" I have attached some photos. First is 5 days in when the tips started chipping one by one. By 9 days in my nails were completely wrecked as you can see in the picture. I went in today to get them fixed and ANN's first question was "what did you do?" Lady wtf did YOU do?! I've been on vacation & have only worked 2 days. One of my nails broke while I was opening my fridge for god sake. She would only fix the broken ones, even though they all look awful and were lifting causing my hair to get stuck under them. Then I would have half new and short nails & half long and old nails. ANN immediately started arguing with me saying "no one" has ever complained before-- only me-- LOL. No accountability whatsoever. I also perform cosmetic services & if someone was unhappy with something I would do whatever I could to retain their business and fix the issue! It's the right thing to do when you make a mistake. These nail technicians would rather be "right" and have zero concept of customer service. Not to mention the salon was totally dead except for 2 other women....so not like they're overflowing with clients. The owner also came over and started arguing with me stating it was my fault & it's been "two weeks" and maybe I do too many things with my nails. And if I would have called sooner (even though I was out of town on VACATION not making complaint phone calls MY BAD) then they would have fixed them. Just total morons. I just left because there's about 1000 other nail salons in chicago that will happily take my money & my business and do a way better job. Avoid this place because a dip manicure should NOT look like this after a week or even after 10 days...even if you "do a lot of things with your nails" lmao. This place is pure trash, I'm sure it won't last long. read more

First nail salon I've tried in Chicago and I already won't be back. In fact I wish I could get a refund because I'm not happy at all. I got acrylics done and the whole time the lady doing it was so lazy. 1) Didn't trim my cuticles so the end result looked like I already had grown out the nails for 1.5 weeks. 2) the acrylic was done sloppily and it's thick so I needed to file it on the sides and cuticles later and I'm still unhappy. My fingers are very long and delicate and the nails look too large on my finger tips. 3) when putting on one of the tips I said it's pointed too down and obviously it doesn't look good and the lady insisted repeatedly "it's because my base nail is crooked" and then kept telling me that just as an "fyi." Which is really rude and inaccurate as my fingers are pretty much my best feature and I've gotten acrylics multiple times and never had this issue with my previous nail tech who was great. 4) Because the nails were so lumpy I asked to get them buffed down otherwise it would be even more ridiculous. I noticed her hand was so unsteady and touch was light without certainty. 5) I wanted milky white nails and she just put 3 coats of sheer white color and a smarter nail tech would know to put some kind of base pinky color or at least be using two different colors so not to have streaks. It's unprofessional and seems like basic thought process that's lacking. 6) overall I voiced my concerns politely throughout the appointment and was met with lackluster passivity. I want my $65 back I don't even know why I tipped out of pressure because this experience was a rip off. EDIT: oh yeah also it's been 4 days and my pinky nail started to crack. Meanwhile the tech I used to go to gave me nails that lasted 5 weeks and survived a move for $45. So yeah save your money don't come. read more

I was in need of my nails to be done along with my daughters and we usually go to Ruby nails but they couldn't see us as walk ins. So I yelped nails salons and TT nails came up and it wasn't far from Ruby nails. So we decided to give them a try. I'm soooooo happy we did!!! They were amazing! The nail tech took her time with me and made sure I was happy with the end result! I wish I would of gotten her name because I would love for her to continue doing my nails. I've been here a few times but always forget to leave a review. Went back for my first time since COVID and I'm so glad I did. I was nervous to get a mani/pedi with everything going on but they are being very safe and I will definitely be back. They have plexiglass between each client and between the client and the tech. Every other station is blocked off so you're not right next to someone. Everyone is wearing masks and they clean down everything as soon as clients are done. This time it only lasted a week. Also they told me one price on the phone and charged me another. They weren't friendly at all and were not familiar with different nail trends. The ladies here are very nice. The salon is well-kept enough. But, after two tries, I not only have been disappointed, but had my nails destroyed. When I called for my first appointment, I very specifically said "hard gel." And on their shop window, it says "gel fills." Yet, every single person there was completely baffled by "hard gel." They practically refused to believe me that it wasn't acrylic. Nope, I was there for years when I had them done with hard gel. No powders or acrylic. A thick gel that gets set under light. WTH? Is hard gel just a West Coast thing? So I tell the tech to file the hard gel down and not actually remove it. She fails at this and chips it off in chunks in some places, leaving my nails a total mess. Then, all while still insisting they are acrylic (no, they aren't - I've been getting them done for years and I was awake and aware each time - NOT acrylic!), she pulls one off, ripping my actual nail with it. Eek! The final product was one nail with acrylic (because she ripped it off) and the rest all uneven and weird looking. But ok, maybe they deserve another chance. I should've just not bothered. The same thing happens all over again. Everyone insisting my nails have acrylic on them. I got handed around to a few different nail techs. The last one, who I think is the owner, had a male tech sitting next to her and he was all "oh yeah, hard gel." He knew what it was, but just sat there and did nothing of assistance. Meanwhile, the tech/owner filed my nails down to absolutely nothing, leaving them flimsy and striping away most of my real nails. Needless to say, this 2nd attempt was also a disaster. (Another $85 for a mani pedi down the drain.) Within days, my nails had broken and chipped ("no chip" is not something that seems to actually work). I'll definitely not be back here. And if you want anything other than a super duper standard and easy mani pedi with regular polish, I would suggest looking elsewhere. read more

It's really sad how unprofessional they are. Everyone understood every word I said until I asked for a refund on my pedicure. I will never understand why that is culturally acceptable. I was paying, so I didn't look down at my toes until I got to the door. The reason I wanted a refund is because the woman that did my toes saw they weren't dry, risked putting my shoes on anyway because she was tired, saw the polish smudge & STILL allowed me to walk out. The disrespect Is beyond my understanding. When I turned around and asked her why she would do that she offered to fix it instead of answering my question. I was a loyal customer, however I recently made an appointment on a Friday night for 10am on Monday. When I arrived on Monday, the three ladies that worked there were busy with three other customers getting pedicure. I waited in the chair until 10:20am and all employees were still busy with other clients. What's the point of making an appointment if they are going to work on other customers during your designated time slot. I can understand a few minutes, but 20 minutes is ridiculous. I had only requested 90 minutes off of work and by the time 10:20am came, I knew wouldn't make it back on time. I got up from the seat and politely explained that I had my appointment at 10am and that since I need to get back to work I could not wait any longer. I recommend calling them a few minutes before you show up, otherwise they will give your spot to a walk in. read more

This place is huge and clean and everyone here is really nice! My pedicure always lasts 5ever, which is pretty cool. Parking is super easy out front, there are always spots. I just like getting a quality mani/pedi by people who are generally content with their jobs. The lady who did my nails refused to let my friend wait for me to get there so while I did show up 10 minutes late, my friend was already done with her mani and halfway through her pedi. So much for enjoying this time together. My entire mani pedi took all of 15 minutes. I appreciate speedy service, but I enjoy this pampering and don't care to have it rushed. Meanwhile, it was the worst manicure I have ever gotten. I walked in with really long nails that I usually just do at home but enjoy getting them done occasionally and that way they are shaped. This lady just cut them all down short - very short. No shaping whatsoever. She completely overlooked a whole chunk of my thumb and didn't even make a single attempt to strike up conversation. I should have read the reviews on here first. Gel Full Set does *not* mean gel tips. It means acrylic tips with a gel polish on them. If I had known this I would not have gone. Regardless, after I realized that it was acrylic I decided to go ahead with it anyway. The nails came out very thick and one was crooked. Got a regular manicure and pedicure from TT nails, and it was overall not good. My nails weren't shaped at all, they're super uneven and rough. The actual nail polish is a mess, you can see the lines where there is one or two coats and it was all over my fingers and cuticles. I had to ask if they'd clean it up a few times after they said they were done. My nails and toes started chipping 12 hours after I got them done. read more

I went here a few times years ago and was always disappointed, so I stopped going. My nails would chip, polish would be uneven, and they weren't very nice. The other day my nail artist had to cancel, so I went here out of desperation, thinking perhaps it had improved. The service was awesome, the woman who did my nails was incredibly sweet. However, what a terrible manicure. polish is super uneven, my nails look lumpy, they didn't remove all the polish from my old no chip before applying a new one.
