Yesterday we ate at Las Maracas and it was very good. Greeted by a gentleman the moment we walked in, advised to sit anywhere. Water was brought immediately along with a generous basket of warm chips & a very tasty salsa! We ordered a Dos Equis Amber & iced tea and were provided menus & time to decide from the many options. Hubby had the Chile Verde pork which he enjoyed. I had the Chile Colorado pork & it was also good. The meat was very tender, the beans were tasty, as was the rice! They were generous with the hot corn tortillas (which we appreciated). Usually restaurants give you only a couple & you end up eating the meat without the shell. Both main dishes could have been a little spicier, but we've not actually had either previously so possibly this is normal. (We were a little surprised that there were no hot sauce choices on the tables, but we enjoyed our meals and will definitely return). The restaurant was very clean. Very generous portions served on a hot platter by very nice staff!

Great food, and Pedro is so friendly. We ordered vegetarian fajitas and enjoyed every bite.

Just a good old fashion Mexican restaurant. I'm always excited to hear we are going to Pedro's. Great place for a work birthday party.

We got a veggie burrito and also I told them I wanted a super taco but no meat-beans & cheese instead. The burrito was huge and delicious. My taco order got lost in translation I guess because I didn't get all the stuff the super burrito was supposed to have , like sour cream, lettuce & tomato and guac. All I got was a tortilla with beans & cheese. As our order was to go I didn't go back to correct it. Next time I'll just order meat. Their salsas were excellent-we got both green & red. They juice their own carrots for fresh juice which my husband loves. I got strawberry agua Fresca. I asked for some limes to brighten it up and though I know that's not authentic, they obliged me and I liked it better that way. I'm sure we will be back. I'm not going to hold them responsible for my taco as I don't think I made myself clear and it was kind of a weird request. I just wasn't in the mood for meat. P.S. The prices here are very reasonable!

The restaurant is decorated like you're in someone's home in Mexico, it was so cute! It was very busy when we came in They don't have chips and salsa fyi - this joint is incredibly authentic Not a HUGE menu, but decent amount of choices which right away tells me they do what they do well if the menu isn't 8 pages haha We got quick service, there was one woman seating people, taking orders, and closing checks, and she did it well! My friend and I ordered soup (specifically carne en su jugo), which is my FAVORITE SOUP EVER, and I can't ever find it anywhere, and boy oh boy I will drive the 1.5 hours to get it again and again, it was perfect. They provide maximum of 2 ramekins of pickled carrots (cost if you want more, which were amazing) and 1 ramekin of green salsa (charge if you want more - and it's spicy but so good!) 3 crispy chicken tacos 1 mole with refried beans taquito (not rolled) 1 adobado pork sopa 1 adobado pork taco 2 chorizo tacos 1 hibiscus aqua fresca The restaurant doesn't have any music on, which I always appreciate background noise in general, but my friend and I were talking so much and the place was busy I didn't notice too much We planned on meeting monthly in Centralia and will continue to go here to eat, check it out!!!

We came in with friends as a party of eight. The menu states that parties of eight or more receive an automatic 20% gratuity. Fair enough -- I completely expect that with a larger group. What I don't understand is adding another 1.5% "service charge" because of the increased cost of doing business. Just raise your menu prices. I would much rather pay an honest price for my meal than have little fees added to the bill afterward. It feels cheap and completely out of place at a restaurant trying to present itself as upscale. But that isn't what really bothered me. My wife ordered from the kids menu because she simply does not eat a full-sized meal and doesn't like wasting food. The menu we were given did not state that it was restricted to children 12 and under. Instead of simply handling the request politely, our waiter called her out for ordering from the children's menu. I explained that she wasn't trying to save a few dollars -- she just didn't want to waste food. His response was essentially a snarky, "Sorry, not allowed." Seriously, who cares? If the restaurant has a policy, fine. Politely explain it. What isn't fine is making a paying customer feel embarrassed or as though she is trying to pull something over on the restaurant. That was the part that ruined the experience for me. Restaurants sometimes seem to forget that hospitality is actually part of the business. Customers aren't an inconvenience to be managed. We are the reason the doors are open in the first place. We drove all the way out to the Washington coast, were dining as a group of eight, and were perfectly prepared to spend money and leave a 20% gratuity. Instead, my wife was made to feel uncomfortable over something as ridiculous as ordering a smaller portion of food. Koko's can keep the upscale image, the automatic gratuity, the extra service fee, and the attitude. There are far too many restaurants that understand what hospitality means for me to spend my money somewhere that doesn't. I won't be back, and I certainly won't recommend Koko's to friends or family.
